i found a waltco/monarch hydraulic pump for my truck at the junkyard for $50 bucks. hooked everything up , which was a supply and return line to the stock gear box and a power wire . works like a champ except, everytime you turn the wheel it slowly oozes oil out of the overflow, and eventually running out on the ground making a mess!! does anyone have any ideas ???????????????? i thought it was overfilled and the oozing would eventually stop, but now the fluid level is below the sight glass and still oozing ! i dont know !
I'd call this-Condition Normal. You could remove the hyd reservoir and baffle the fill opening or you could extend the fill or breather about a foot with a piece of 3/4" heater hose. Either will usually fix the problem, if you run it thew way it is, it will run low on fluid before the mess goes away.
