Well the other night after much grinding and use of cut off wheel i was able to get 1 header on the passenger side. The way they came the flanges hit the head bolts by the spark plugs. I noticed the other set of headers we had that where orginally on the engine had to be trimed too. Does anyone else have this problem with there BB Chevys? Why are the flanges not clearing the head bolts?

I'm using studs...but have plenty of clearance. What heads are you using? My Schoenfelds worked fine on 840's, 188's, and now Merlin's.

Mine hit pretty bad also. Two different flanges also. Just took the grinder to mine and clearanced them a little.
