Who's mud raced their Puller?

There are a lot of super close mud races around here lately, and it seems like everyone thinks I should run my truck in the stock class....(Based on Tire Size).

What do you all think? What mods would be necessary (weight added to rear?) Should I seal up my clutch can to keep it free of water and dirt?

Overall, would it be a BAD thing to do, or not a big deal?

Thanks,

A.......

Your solid suspension in the rear would suck in a mud bog race. Just like you there are mud bog races here and everyone wants me to put my truck in it. I don't think I could make it 50'. Hum, no different than the pulls I go to come to think of, Thats about the farthest I make it in a pull.

how come you are the ONLY member of NSPA without a link on their pic page?...... have you been shunned from that association too? or are you just a junior member and don't have rights to their website yet?

just curious

Im guessing The lakewood rubber clutch fork boot would be all you need to do to clutch...

A truck setup for pulling would make a terrible mud bogger imho. From what little I know about boggers, a good one needs fast wheel speed and a 4 link coil over type of flexible suspension AND power steering.

Now if your truck still has the stock suspension and xfer case, you could take the weight bar off and bog it for grins. Like any sport though, to be competitive, you need a purpose build rig.

I figured a pulling set-up wouldn't be optimum, but could be another fun hobby to attend, for Sh*** and grins...

I've been hiding out doing Honey-do's all spring, so I didn't attend Tech-day or test & tune for pics and such. I'm sure they'll add me as soon as I get my but up there and participate a little.

I'll state it again:

NSPA has treated me and my family Awesome! I can't wait to get back to pulling with them!

Bandimere on July 11th will no doubt kick-start my fire again!
