| I am currently running a np 435 and a stock 205 with 410 gears. i can not keep a transfer case in it i already have a 2 inch shaft in it it just keeps pushing the cases apart. i know i need lower gears but you cant do it with a 435 and i am not putting in a divorce mount case with a chevy trans so i can run a cut third gear. So my question is will a pro fab kit in a 205 handle it or should i just wait till i have the money to do it right with lower gears chevy trans frontend and married transfercase. i am running 35 inch bfg at and a 27 final and i want to keep that |

How much power are you running? You may have another problem causing the breakage. driveshaft angle are not enough travel in the slip yoke could be the problem. Your gear ratio isn't breaking the output shaft. |

i know i havent been pulling for very long but i do know lower gears in the rearends and higher in the trans is better less stress |

I ran a ford 205 with a t18 for years in a truck with 470 limit and bar tires. We couldn't run cepeks but any firestone or goodyear. We never broke a 205 but several we ran with did. Not very often though. I will bet you have problems somewhere else causing the breakage. |

I am having problems with my out put shafts What i have been told is that the gears is about the only answer with the stock cases unless you can switch over to some of the newer diesel ones but that changes the final ratio I found some more parts for mine and i am going to try again but if it breaks Friday i am going a new route if this is Adam are you going to get it together for Shelbyville? |

Stock 205's use heilical cut which push out on bearings. The profab kit uses straight cut gears so the force is different. I know of guys running them making over 1000hp, so hopefully the profab will hold up to yours.
