I have a TERRIBLE time with this thing hopping and bouncing. Over the years we have tried a lot of different things. Nothing would help. When I would hook to a sled with a long lead, no bounce. But hook up to a sled with the real short chain and it bounces like crazy. I was thinking since it is a short wheel base truck with an 8' bed it gives it the illusion that it is a regular wheel base truck. So with a hitch mounted and with the pivot point out near the end of the frame rail it puts it at almost a foot past where a regular long wheel base truck would pull. Puts a lot of down pressure on the back end. So I built a shazam hitch #1. I didn't want to do the latest Shazam hitch because I remember Dan saying it takes a lot of power. And I would be getting back to a short pivot type hitch. So I will try this.

Looks good Dig. Could you have pushed the rear back a couple inches when you welded in the rear?

Thanks Alan! I thought about moving the axle back, but I didn't think a couple inches or 3 would really matter???

You would be surprised what a couple of inches can do.

I got them off Ebay for, no kidding,$172.00 for all 4 tires. I think you can find them on the internet if you type in Denman Omni-Trax.
