ok guys i know theres alot of you love that oval my buddys is tryin to round up some heads for next season already he is lookin for somethin that flows good but nuthin to big i know he has a pair of bare dove c heads layin around but i dont think he wants to run them just wonderin wat guys might have or some good advice
he will be runnin a smaller class with a 510 cube limit,he has a 460 block 80 over with flat top pistons rod im not sure, cam not picked out yet but it will be a solid roller(could use ideas here also), 2 wheel drive, with a stick
Can he run Alum or does it have to be cast? If cast then I would send the DOVE's to Scotty J in Washington or Bret Powell in MO. If he could find some DOOE-R or PI heads that could be sent out for a port job that would be even better. If he can run Alum then I would look to either A Heads or SCJ's. Lem at BF Evans has some good deals on bar SCJ's right now.
if you can run aluminum, find out what style of head is allowed in the class first. If it has to be factory style production then go with scj's or p-51's. if it can be any aluminum head then i would run an a-460 head from tfs and maybe get some port work done.
