Ok Guys here are the results from the pull sat. night. It was very cool getting to know the pullers from GA they are some very nice guys with some very nice equipment. I hate that a few of the pullers had some bad luck in the class with broken parts and we even had a wreck in the class so it was a wild night with a fast sled a hooking but rough track and a lot of good trucks. I have to say the 4150 carbs sure didnt seem to hurt the trucks from GA because they all power to spare to be honest I think last minute was the only truck that was short on ponies, the bfg and boggers seemed to be very comparable on this night with the win going to the boggers but 2nd through 5th going to the BFGs. I beleive Riggs had an issue with the rearend but he made a very good showing in the 6200 PS4 class and I strongly believe that he would have been battling for the win otherwise. Tracey had trouble on the line and couldnt seem to find the cure for the hops so after two attempts called it a night and Cody had a sudden turn right and got crossed up and tagged by the sled. I hope to have a link for the video by the end of the week.
I would also like to say thanks to the GA guys for coming to the show they def. made it a fun Saturday night and it was nice to have the large turn out of Fords for a change.
Did you guys pull heads up ie no handicaps due to differences? Can someone point me to the rules for both organizations? I'm curious what the differences are.
we had a great time, we learned that there is more than one way to skin a cat! lol, hitches were different and tires were too, but they all seemed to work the same. the tenn. guys and girls were great ,we felt like we were at home! richard i wouldnt say you were down on horses, your motor sounded great! you guys have a great club with some very nice trucks, we hope cody is okay and if you guys come to daisy tracey will have another chance.tell everyone we appreciate the opportunity to pull and it was a pleasure meeting them all. you and your dad were great host and tell him he could give driving lessons!he did great, winning the open class! go fomoco! (ford motor co.) for you chevy boys, lol! yall have an open invite from our club and maybe yall can come pull with us soon , it makes for a great show with a lot of nice people and trucks! may GOD bless yall and thanks again for having us.

They did not have cut DOTs on the trucks, they did however come within less than five feet of beating the cepeks in the 6200 class
I hope a few more of those guys will get on here and talk with us they are some cool guys with some very cool trucks to be honest we need pics on here and that still would nt to justice to them. Their trucks just look cool with the big boggers on them. maybe Shane or Riggs we get on here soon and talk more about their set ups and what they thought about the pull and how the trucks compared
hey richard im logged in as ssroadrunner, not sure where name goes, this is shane btw, riggs will post later im sure hes out pokin bears somewhere!,lol! we have talked about lyerly since we got home ,it was a great time! all of our trucks were very equal even though some big differences with hitch design as well as tires.this board and the guys on it have helped our ga club tremendously and i can tell you someone has definately helped the tenn. club as well , they pull hard! pics dont them justice either, they have some very nice trucks and its obvious they have their stuff together. we walked around the pits and we were all nervous! they have a top notch club from the announcers to the hook and track crew.the rattlesnake trucks both had problems and it was good for us, they both were strong you could tell. also tracey ,pullin for jesus, (love that) had a helluva truck, but had trouble so we fared well there too, stinky pete was a bad boy, there aint nothin stinky about that truck, very good lookin chevy and can get the job done. the tractors were bad too! dont go messin with the tenn boys, they dont play! it was all in fun and we couldnt have asked for a better group of people to pull with, maybe we can do it again sometime! shane
Well guys, we had a ball in Lyerly. That was really fun pulling with some new competition, and boy was the competition tight. Them Tennessee boys sure have there $hit together. I was very impressed with the club and track officials, and some awesome trucks! I wish us GA boys didn't have all the breakage we had, but thats truck pulling for ya. Now I have to work really hard to make the Daisy pull this weekend. The hitch is now scrap. Hope to post some pics of it soon. I got it out today so we can start building the new one tomorrow. I think the truck hit that soft spot in track at about the 125 mark and it snatched the truck to the right and then to left it broke the support brace loose and then turned the cross bar into a V! I think I could have done a little better in the 6200 if I had of locked both front hubs! LOL! Stupid mistake, but thats what I get for not checking. I guess fourh place wasn't too bad for 3wd. And Richard, your truck is NOT down on power! Man that thing was screaming down the track! Wish I was making that kind of power! Hope you guys can make it down to south GA in the near future and pull with us. There is a pull coming up soon that will be on Fri. and Sat. night. Maybe we can all hook up soon and do it again. That was a BLAST!
well i know one thing , there is an art to making a truck not bounce @ 5500 lbs ! lol ! i felt like a jack rabbit for about 3 seconds ! then it was over ! all of the tennessee trucks were very competitive. i can see why they are so close everyweekend. i think richard is shy talking about his truck, it ran very strong it layed down one of the better runs of the night. we both need to get a muncie with the 3 speed kit, that would help us a lot to have some gear selection. i am thinking about getting some bfs this week & try them for the weekend ! i have been wanting to try them , guess i just needed to see them in action ! the sticky clay really surprised me in the 6200 class didnt get enough revvs & never got up to speed , you pull you learn ! even though it was a long trip that was the most fun i have had pulling in a long time ! even my wife had a good time ! it was nice to meet richard & his dad they were both nice guys. all of the tenn people we met were nice for that matter. it was very interesting for me to see some differences in trucks & hitches ! i have some new ideas now. here @ home you see alot of the same stuff , hitches , tires , & when someone is doing good with that setup , it makes it hard to change. a lot the time you and your competitors wind up with very similar setups. monkey see monkey do ! lol !!! i want to say thanks to the middle tennessee pullers for having us & and we would love to come pull with yall again in the future ! yall are always welcome here anytime ! a special thanks to richard AKA -(LAST MINUTE) for setting this thing up. p.s. tell the rattlesnake not to go so fast next time & maybe he wont jack-knife the sled !!!! im just kidding! that was terrible, i hope his truck is not messed up too bad . we had a great time thanks again !!!
