I am beyond excited right now--Finola knows who i am!!!
So i traveled about two hours to Chicago just to see Finola! (of course!) I arrived at Borders at about 10:00 A.M to get a good seat---no one was there :/ so i sat by myself until a few people arrived and i talked to the MANY soap opera fans! (i heard of her from How Do i look? I'm too young to have seen her on soap operas!) Anyway, she came at EXACTLY 12:30--she had stopped by to sign extra books then went out to have lunch! So at 12:30 i heard this absolutely gorgeous british accent! And guess who it was!!??? Yep..it was Finola! I almost fainted...haha just kidding. She looked absolutely beautiful!! She wore a matching pant suit except instead of pants it was a skirt..and she had her hair all done beautifully with waves--she has the most perfect skin haha. She is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING in person! So she read a bit from her new book Soapsuds and then answered questions. Then it was time to do signing. So i got up there and basically froze haha but she is the kindest, warmest person literally, i have ever met. And i'm not just saying that because this a Finola website--even my mom agreed, and she's not a Finola fan So basically, i just kept smiling and she wrote in my book..."To Kate, i Hope you like this Kate!" Finola Hughes X because well...the main character of her book is kate haha! She was so incredibly sweet..i told her i didn't know what to ask and she said oh anything! And then i told her i'd think about it but my mom wanted to go so i waved and said goodbye!!! after she signed someone else's book and she was so gracious--she excitedly said goodbye to me as well...hehe OH! I also got a picture with her! I could possibly post it here if you would all like--just tell me and also--if i'm allowed to...i can e-mail the moderator. But it was the experience of a lifetime! She was so much nicer than i expected--she DOES NOT act like a celebrity, if you know what i mean. She's the sweetest person i have ever met! I hope to meet her someday again! haha! Well i hope i didn't write too much but please, if she's coming near you GO! She needs all the support from the fans!! And you will NOT be disappointed, she is absolutely fantastic, magnificent, gracious and overall the COOLEST person i have ever met.
