New Campaign Idea, let's ban together, let's save GH!

The "Kill a Few Trees" campaign goes back to the good old days of writing letters. It's easy for TIIC to delete those emails and erase those voice mails, but you can't ignore piles of letters.

Do you hate what they have done to our show?



Do you hate how they have rewritten the history?



Do you hate how they treat the vets?



Do you hate how they treat the female characters?



Do you hate it when they try to "train" you?



Do you hate it when they don't listen to the fans?



Then do something about it!!



We've seen wonderful attempts at campaigns in the last few years. Some have focused on the sponsors. Some have focused on specific characters and their family. With this campaign General Hospital will be brought into the 21st century by using old techniques. It is created to span across many fan bases. We want all of those fans that hate what has been done to this once fabulous show. We want the fans that respect the history. We want the fans that respect the vets. We want the fans that respect women and how they are treated. We want the fans that want the true heroes to shine once again.



This can only happen if we ALL ban together and fight for our right to be heard!!



At this time we are trying to build our "Army", so to speak, and your job is to spread the word. We will be announcing further instructions soon on what the target date for the first round of letters will be.

Finola Designed Denim Jacket

Finola has designed a one-of-a-kind denim jacket for the Swarovski Celebrity Designed Charity Auction. All proceeds will benefit SOS Childrens Villages. An organization which helps provide for orphaned and abandoned children. Their mission is to build families for children in need, help them shape their own futures and share in the development of their communities.

Each celebrity was given the same denim jacket to embellish with beautiful Swarovski Crystals, some arranged in special custom patterns. Hughes's contribution is as dark and mysterious as the daytime soap character she has played off and on for over twenty years. Dyed a mottled black overall, the jacket's back panel features an enormous human skull in gloss black fabric paint— rendering an eerie, tone-on-tone effect—embellished with dazzling clear crystals. Still more clear crystals were used to recreate the SOS Children's Villages—the auction beneficiary—logo along the left front beltline. And on the inside rear beltline, Finola and her husband (photographer Russell Young) have each signed their names in metallic ink. One of the auction's most wholly original designs. There is a small color defect at the left front shoulder. Looking good

I've always envied your look on TV. No matter what you are on you carry off the clothing and styles with ease, like you were born to it. What really get's me now is that I can't imagine looking anything close to as good as you look and I found out you're only a day older than I am. I really enjoy watching you on GH and can only hope that with time I can compare myself you how good you look.

Regrettably I did not get to see the Noah concert on GH since we hosted a tornado instead.

I read a spoiler that Anna Devane was returning once again. It was a quote attributed to Bob Guza saying that there will be a new character arc for Anna Devane that will show another side to her that we've never seen before. Is this true? If so, it gives me a reason to watch GH again.

Incredible 100th How Do I Look !

While viewing T.V. tonight I happened upon a show concerning 9-11. This got me thinking about the 100th episode of How Do I Look, and what an inspirational show if was. We can all feel alone at times in our circumstances. We can not underestimate at these times what an act of kindness can mean in the lives of others. Even something as small as a smile can help lift the spirit of the person who needed it at the time. Finola, who has one of the most beaufiful smiles, gave much more on this episode. The looks on the faces of the design team and on the children's faces as they watched each teacher walk out said more than words ever could. The delight of the school staff when Finola said they would also receive gift certificates was evident. It is easy to forget that there are so many people still trying to find their way after going through such devestation. I believe this show helped to bring light to a situation that still exists. It also brought joy to these people who were blessed to be a part of it. I so enjoyed watching it!

STANDING OVATION!

I really enjoyed the Eli Love story on General Hospital this summer and it was very unexpected! I loved the whole dynamic between Finola, Rick, Kim and Jason.. it was all so relaxed and easy. They made the show worth watching and even the silliness was a welcome relief!

I loved the way it ended, the concert was a huge success, Noah pulled it off, Anna saved the day and she skipped town unscathed, which in this day in age on GH, is really like a miracle! The story actually had a beginning, middle and end and some really fun and touching moments all the way through. I thought Finola was amazing during the concert episode with the impromptu HIV speech and I love the way she makes an entrance and an exit!

Kudos to everyone who was part of this story and especially to Finola!

Who knew Anna would have so much chemistry with a Dr impersonating a Rock Star?

Finola and Kimberly were amazing in all their scenes together, they are the best mother/daughter combo on TV.

Didn't think I would ever say that again...LOL. I am so blown away by the fantastic way the story with Anna/Noah/Eli played out. I was pleased in every way- the humor of it in the beginning, the fun going on between Anna and Noah (hmm, so did they have sex?) , the drama and seriousness of the AIDs story. The relationship Finola and Rick forged between the characters they play was fabulous- as if they had worked together for many years. These are shows I can look forward to re-watching!

I have to say I LOVED this little summer story of Finola's! At first I was skeptical, thinking the story sounded too far fetched and silly. I also wasn't sure I'd like the potential hookup of Anna and Noah. But I was pleasantly surprised, as the story was a lot of fun, even hilarious at times! Finola is such a wonderful dramatic actress that I think we forget how gifted she is with comedy as well. So kudos to Finola for outstanding performances all around! And though the scenes between Anna and Noah were way too few I found myself really liking them as a potential couple. Noah has never been this much fun!

Thanks to GH, Finola, Rick, Kimberly, and Jason for bringing us a fun, touching, sexy, summer story with a message for a great cause.

Staying alive

Today channel 4 of swedesh television aired staying alive and it gave some good flashbacks to the eighties. Finola had one of the leading roles and she was really hot. Awesome looking!! Had to check the Internet what this lovely lady is doing today and found a couple of websites with information and pictures of her. Man! She`s still smoking!! Just love that women! Afternoon with Finola

I feel bad because it has taken me so long to post a comment about this event, but in my defense, Linda had practice for "Palm Beach Idol" the day after we returned. I would like to say what a wonderful job the fan club organizers did hosting this event. The ladies at our table were so impressed with the personalized goody bags for the children. They said: "what other fan club gathering would worry about that except for Finola's? When Summer opened her bag she said: "Finola knows exactly what I like!" I just feel as if the attention to detail was admirable. Although Finola so likes to play characters like Anna Devane because of their grit, the word I've always thought of to describe her is class- and this was a classy event. I was also so blessed to be a part of an event to help the people of Sudan, and I loved the introduction Finola gave at the beginning. As for the words to describe Finola and her prescence at this event, well, I truly find words to describe hard to come by. The beauty, the grace, the ability to reach out to other human beings and connect with an honesty that is rare, it is indeed a gift to those of us lucky enough to attend. It is this gift, of herself really, that makes "How Do I Look" a show that is so interesting to watch. Finola mentioned a favorite show that she had recently filmed which featured a young lady who had just lost her husband. Finola described the young lady as "grace." But at the end of that show the young lady said: "People think that this is just a show..., and went on to explain that what Finola and her crew had given to her was so much more. That is grace in motion... Thank you Finola, for just being YOU! WHAT A GIFT!!!

I too am trying to find the website and phone number of the company selling the new pilates equipment to which Finola is lending her name and for which she is also on an infomercial helping tell about it. Finola NOT on Regis thanks to Stupid Press conf!

I'm hoping that someone taped and puts up on Youtube a bootleg version of the Finola Hughes interview that never was!
The last time I tried watching Finola interview on TV, it was trumped by some stupid press conference. All the people who care about such conferences are at work! So, why can't they have the stupid press junk from the pres over evening news?

I saw that she was coming back to Port Charles too - as much as I always look forward to Anna's return to General Hospital, I do wonder how the writers are going to explain how she didn't even CALL when Robin was held hostage, shot and almost died in the Metro Court.

I watched and I was really impressed with Fin's jewelry. Really great designs. It was so great at the end when she received a call from Dylan and Cash to wish her Happy Mother's Day. They sound so adorable, definitely a kleenex moment.

Who was the percson asking abotu the Hot Shoe Show episodes with Finola? I have all the tapes, from BBC 1. Bonnie was in every episode.

Oddly, I wanted to comment that my friend was a big Finola fan and joined her fan club in 1985, where I saw a letter that had been printed from Bonnie Langford in the newsletter. She has all the original pics from joining the fan club. Anyone else a former fan club memebr from way back when?

Thank you so much, for showing Finola's dancing video. I remember watching that program and I just fell in love with Finola's art.
That very night was also shown Finola as Victoria (the white cat) that was beauty and perfection combined..... I am sure I have the tape here, somewhere.

even more beautiful in person

I went for a nice late afternoon, early evening dinner at Jerry's Deli in Studio City the other day and had the pleasure of walking by Finola dining with friends. Incredible beauty. Television does not do her quite enough justice!! Did my utmost not to stare....and succeeded. Would love to properly photograph such a beauty.
