Anna edits

Save Anna!

so if Frons isn't talking about Anna and Robert when you get video, go
down and click on that Robert link again. There might be an annoying ad for fiber or something preceding.

Please take a minute or two to call/write today and this weekend and
let them know we want more for Anna Devane than a "support" role. At
this point, I'd lay off the pairing and family requests and just gush
about Fin/Anna. She needs a story of her own no matter how she gets
it, and IMO, the family stuff in particular has her locked into a support position, as you can see from Frons' response. Anna Devane as an entity unto
herself is endangered (as if we didn't know), and if we don't campaign
for her, who will? I'm posting this in a few places today, but if you know of any others, please spread the word.

I think that as viewers and fans of Finola, you have to be open to what new story might come her way. I know how much many people loved Robert/Anna. Funny thing is, everyone has hated Sonny/Emily for their age difference, but there is a greater age difference between Robert/Anna. Interesting. Anyhow. Anna and Robert have both moved on. He, pretending to be dead. I guess it didn't love Anna all that much to deceive her that way. With all the time and other life experiences separating the two, it makes sense that they may be affectionate and flirty with each other, but both are looking to the future and not the past. I think I would rather see both Anna and Robert in new storylines rather than repeating old ones.

I don't care how many years later it is ..

Robert/Anna belong together, and I'm sick of hearing about the age difference. Funny that some of the same people using the age gap as a reason to keep Anna/Robert apart, are pushing Robert and Skye together elsewhere, and there's even a bigger age gap between those 2. When I see Robert and Anna together I don't notice this huge age gap. Soily bothered me but not because of the age, but the characters didn't mesh. And I see Em as a kid still, but Anna is no child. I'm open to other stories for Anna, even though Robert is my #1 choice, but Lorenzo doesn't cut it for me, and I don't believe that she will get any airtime with him .. this summer has proven that.

As fans of Anna, I think we should be able to freely express our preferences for her, without hearing how Lorenzo is IT for her now, that Robert and Duke are now too old and in the past. I feel like this board has been taken over by Ted King fans, whose only interest in Anna is to have her be paired with Lorenzo, and to be honest it's turning me off of this board.

I've yet to see any signs of GH pairing Anna with Robert or Lorenzo, or that she will get her own story. So far she's mainly on to support Robin and Scrubs. When I see signs of her own story, I'll decide if it's something I want to support or not. But I'm not wasting my time pushing for a story that will probably never happen, which is the case with Anna/Lo imo, to benefit an actor that I don't care about. For now I'll continue to focus on getting more airtime for Anna, and her own story, and more interaction with an actor that I do care about, Tristan, even if it's not in a romance.

TK's fans

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. Just as you are Finola fans first, there are some of us who are Ted King fans first. However, we aren't just jumping on the Finola wagon because she might be paired with Ted. We are jumping on that wagon because we WANT them to be paired. Airtime was mentioned, and I believe good airtime would result for both actors should they be paired together.

Also, you mention you are fans of Tristan Rogers and want Finola to once again be paired with him. Many feel that way, but this is not true of all of Finola's fans. There are some Finola fans who actually would like to see her paired with Ted King and the possibility of a front burner story.

As far as Ted fans turning on actresses, I wouldn't exactly say actresses have been turned on. Many of Ted's fans promoted Laura Wright, but ceased when they found they were not to be paired together. I wouldn't say that LW has been turned on. I personally have not campaigned for Robin Christopher because I have never been a fan of hers and felt that paired with Ted, a story for them would not be front burner - and it hasn't been.

If Ted were to be paired to Finola, would you drop Finola because you don't like Ted? Would you campaign against Ted with Finola? I have given every actress paired with Ted since Tamara left a chance. Some I have like with him, and some I haven't. Of the actresses I didn't like, I campaigned for Ted and not Ted as a couple. I dare say that Finola fans are no different than Ted fans or any other fans. You like who you like and that is the way it is.

Personally, I think Ted and Finola would make a powerful soap couple who would be enjoyed by many older GH fans as well as newcomers. Perhaps both Tristan and Finola can find new found success with new partners.

The problem with certain TK fans, IMO, is that they're not upfront about things. What's with this "I want to see Anna and Robert in new storylines" business? You don't care about Robert or Anna, you care about how this affects Ted, of whom you're a fan. That's great, that's your right, that's your opinion. Even though I personally agree that I'd rather see FH with TK because while GH seems to have little interest in him they seem to have about 0% in TR, and I don't think she'll have a story with him in the near future, all this baloney about the age difference and moving on whatever is just silly. Don't act like we don't get that you guys are trying to push your own agenda just like every other fan group, be upfront about it. I like Ted, but I'm only interested in him in so far as it affects Finola because I'm her fan, not his. Why do you guys try to pretend otherwise? Even though I don't want Robert with Anna, at least a lot of the Robert/Anna fans are legit Anna fans who care about Anna and aren't just being disingenous with the silly Sonny/Emily junk, so I trust their sincerity more when they make upfront arguments.

Frons

If anyone had the chance to read Frons' little interview on soapnet.com (click on the pic of Robert) about the vets, one can easily surmise that the bigger battle here is Airtime and Story, as in any story. Frons clearly doesn't value either Finola or Tristan, or ANY of the vets. He specifically says they will only be used to support Robin and Patrick. So this leaves me thinking, why are we squabbling over Anna/Lo, or Robert/Anna or Duke/Anna as none of these are options as far as Frons is concerned. In fact I doubt we ever see a gun in Anna's hand again.

Anyhow, my point in all of this is we need to support ANNA DEVANE, all of us, no matter what our storyline preferences are, cuz the way it is now (according to Frons), the only time we will ever see Anna is at Kelly's with Robin, talking about Scrubs.

Why did they bring the vets back only....

You know it never amazes me in every arena of business there are a few powerbrokers who are so obsessed with being in control, they lose sight of the real reason they even have a job. And that’s what’s going on at GH. Just like in any other business, behind the scenes in the back offices of the studio, there sits these “Beavis and Buttheads” executives who don’t give a rat’s behind about what the general consensus thinks or feels. All the propaganda about maintaining a good fan base and ratings is sheer ludicrously. The ‘heads of madness” that are in charge aren’t interested in producing good storylines for the vets because they personally feel their time in the spotlight has come and gone. This assertion can be supported by an interview in Soap Zone (back in May). The article states Frons (who by the way received a promotion of sorts from his boss Anne Sweeney because he has the so-called ability to look forward and not linger on the glory days) will head up their new “streamline” adventure. (WTF…scratching my head…huh?) With all their double-talk jargon, I was able to decipher they don’t want to utilize the vets and use old formulas that worked in the past. Frons thinks he can come up with some new innovative hocus-pocus that’s going to take GH in a new and exciting direction. Yeah, right, whatever. He brought the vets back to basically use them as background history for the younger players on the canvass. Okay, so we fans now see the grand scheme of things. We were manipulated to start tuning back in. (Slapping our heads, wow! We now get it. We should all have a V8.) In all their craftiness and so-called fresh ideas, Sweeney, Frons, Phelp, and Guza had no other choice but to reach back for the vets to temporarily boost the rating for their lousy sweeps. This brings me to my next point. Old formulas do indeed work and always will. They were what made GH a phenomenal and kept the show on top. Soaps have always been created for women and viewed by them in the hopes of seeing spectacular romance, great stories, and exciting adventure from characters we love and have a long standing history/connection with. This is why daytime serials have survived the test of time as a whole. Long before Guza, Frons, Sweeney, or Phelp where even heard of, General Hospital was rising to the occasion to produce excellent daytime drama. And the fans have been there for the exciting ride. There’s a saying that goes, “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.” Someone needs to enlighten the not so “dream-team” of this point.

The vets will never be used as long as Frons is in charge

They were brought back in an attempt to boost ratings, which worked last Feb., so they stupidly thought they could again in every sweeps period. I think they want Noah and Anna as supporting for Patrick, Robin and Scrubs, and Robert supporting for the same and also for Luke's story. Viewers realized that they weren't going to get written for so tuned back out, and GH doesn't seem to want to rectify that, but will move on to the next vet (next up is Genie). But they don't really want her either, just the potential ratings she might bring in.

Frons has always been all about the younger characters and that is who he will make sure get the focus. I really don't seem any hope for changes as long as he is president of ABCD.

I'm surprised and disappointed to read this.....

It seems that if you'd entertain a pairing between TK and FH, you'll be accused of being a TK fan who's 'taking over the board.' Wouldn't it be appropriate to allow everyone to express their likes on the subject of a match for FH? Is there only a place here for TR fans who'd like to see them together? That would leave me in an odd place as I like the work of all three actors. There are things I favor more than another for each of them at this particular point in time.

There is no question that I see things differently for TK and FH than I did for them years ago. There's also the matter of FH's character having moved on and enjoyed several other successful pairings with characters that did have some of the same style as TK's. There can still be Scorpio family scenes, but Anna is actually named Devane, not married to Robert, and I'm for anything that will give her some action and some heat.

I'm glad most posters here seem to agree that free speech is the way to go without bashing a particular fan base.

has lapsed since then, most fans of Robert & Anna want to see the Scorpio family explored, and not some fake pairing, by an agenda driven fanbase, that has not had any scenes or storyline, but the ones in their own mind. I have yet to see an Anna/Lorenzo storyline unfold on my screen and definitely did not wait all this time to see her with an actor that gets only 2 minutes of airtime a week. Anna/FH deserves better than that!!

I want Anna's relationship explored with her family, and that includes Robert. They have a past, and I've waited a long time for GH to bring her back and see more interaction between not only Anna & Robert, but also Anna & Robin scenes.

oh my goodness, girlfriends, go to the finomenal message board and get the link for the fanfiction called the morning after the night before or the day after the night before or something like that. it is JUST what we have been waiting for--the REAL R/A reunion. It made me laugh and cry and get that kind of longing in my chest that I haven't had in years. If the GH writers had any sense, they'd just take this short story and make it into a week's worth of scenes. You'll LOVE it. It's pathetic when one of us chickens can hammer out five amazing chapters in a DAY, chapters which satisfy the mind and the heart, and the guys who get paid to write the show can't seem to. Oh my. Our prayers have been answered--just not on the show. Ha.

With all due respect to twenty years ago, I think Anna has a stunning guy looking her right in the eye who's already on GH and has the bad boy vibe. They've already shown they've got chemistry. As far as twenty years ago, Robert is already there for her to do the coparenting scenes and do the laughter stuff, but why bother to go back and get someone else from ions ago when in the here and now she's hot with the very gorgeous TK.

Hot Now?

How on earth would anyone know this? To be brutally honest, the scant time they've spent together in the past few months tells me this much: Nothing's happening here. Nada. For whatever reason this pairing ain't getting heat or wings, despite all the deadly dull and tedious nonsense going on around them. Blame the writers, blame TPTB, whomever, but I'm not seeing even a fraction of the Anna time that is merited, despite this mysterious chemistry everyone's talking about.

The bottom line is Anna needs a story with angelfire that will actually deliver, here and now. I'm not against the very handsome Lorenzo (who has sadly been backburnered since forever), but I am against spastic gestures at chemistry and plot which go nowhere fast. Anna deserves better.

Anna and Duke were crackling at jump street and all hell broke loose at first glance. Anna and Robert had history behind them that enabled big time. Put history and heat together and Anna will get off the backburner quicker than you can say Lochinvar, and possibly pull TR with her.

And that, Fin fans, is why I'm for an IB return, and still skeptical about A-Lo. It's all about Ms. Devane in my book, and getting more of her, however possible. Duke, Robert, Lorenzo-- something's got to actually happen and soon before Anna gets Quartermained. My money's on the Scot.

I'm getting the feeling that some of the new posters here care more about Lorenzo than they do Anna/Finola, they diss every other potential pairing and the actors portraying their characters. Neither Tristan or Ian are washed up old men as implied by some posters. I'm an Anna fan who wants her to get a good story, with decent airtime, and I do not see that happening with Lorenzo. They've had all summer to write for them, but instead cut their scenes. And this fabulous chemistry that Ted talked about, existed from scenes that were cut, I need GH to show me that they have great chemistry because I've yet to see it in the 1-2 minutes of total airtime that Anna and Lorenzo have shared. But Finola has proven chemistry with both TR and IB, I don't care how long ago it was.

GH in general is a low budget rip off of its glory days as well as its obsessive compulsive need to be the Sopranos-lite. There is no show if you are not associated with the mob, so maybe Anna will have a fighting chance if she's written into one of those stories. I will take a hot Ted King anyday for a SL for her!

number of characters on GH for some time now, and that is true for the returning vets as well. The chemistry that people see between TK and FH was enough to inspire immediate and multiple recognition by the soap magazines. It doesn't usually happen that quickly, but with these two it did. She still has a nice, fun and familiar vibe with TR, but those of us, and there are many, who like her with TK, don't see a sexual thing going on between them anymore. There's a place for both relationships in her story. I'm afraid IB, twenty years later, is going to fall into a similar position with Finola, rather than the sparks we saw between her and TK.

I'm interested in seeing Finola with a number of different players in different roles, ones that will ensure that she is not there only to again and again do Scorpio family scenes. That's nice, but there's more to a character than supporting others in each and every show. A little bit of a passionate love story is needed. I like TR, but respectfully, I see a big difference in how he looks with FH now as opposed to years ago. I'd rather encourage TPTB to recognize the FH and TK chemistry and give it a full viewing. The actors have both said as much in printed and spoken words, and I support that. It's new and fresh and doesn't involve bringing back yet another character who may not, years later, have the same spark that TK and FH have right now.

Without delving into the subjectivity of looks, age or the ever-popular "chemistry" and who's actually got it here, the fact is that for whatever reason the writers/TPTB/etc. haven't taken a shine to an Anna/Lorenzo story. They haven't taken to an Anna and Robert story either-- again for whatever reason-- no accounting for taste, but there you have it. Anna is being wasted and that's another fact.

I can understand why TK fans are itching for this pairing, but backburner plus backburner minus PTB interest still equals nada, regardless of any perceived chemistry. How much air time has this "spark" actually yielded? The initial hype around this "story" has fizzled out for one reason or another, and what are we left with? What have we had all summer? Nothing and lots of it. And this while the utter tedium and mediocrity of the far less worthy is foisted upon us day in and day out. Enough with the sparks already, Anna needs a wildfire, whatever the source.

My point is regardless of who Anna is ultimately teamed up with, there's got to be a veritable lightning strike to get her off the dime. It just plain hasn't happened with Lorenzo to date. Not much has been happening with Anna at all, and for that reason, I say bring on IB. Maybe Duke is the one to get her story (and perhaps others-- ::cough:: Robert ::cough:: ) moving in the right direction and off the current march to deep backburner territory before she falls off the back of the stove and we never see her again. If nothing else, it's another shot at a real story. Lord knows nothing else has worked to date.

As ever, though, my "campaign" is first and foremost for Anna Devane, however she is paired (or not).

a front and center character, where she will get the air time she deserves and that is NOT with Lorenzo. The man is never on, and garners a two second scene once a week, with absolutely no family ties.

I would much rather see Anna with her family, Robin, Robert and tangling in a storyline with Luke/Robert.

Looking her in the eye? The last scene they shared over a month ago, he looked disgusted by her, and the only thing on his mind was finding Skye and his baby. He was not "looking her in the eye" like he was attracted to her or wanted her. And I believe he told her that the only way she'd get anything from him is if she was able to get Robert to spill where Skye is. This big romantic story you've drummed up exists only in your head, because I'm not seeing any signs of it on my screen.

And I've seen recent pictures of Ian, and he's still hot now, as is Tristan. All 3 men are hot but I'm getting turned off of Ted/Lo due to his fans putting down Tristan and Ian, because THEY WANT Anna for Lorenzo.

As an Anna fan first I DON'T want her isolated to Scorpio family scenes only, I want her mixing it up with the entire GH canvas! This means with TK as well as TR and KM as well as KMc and yes even with Sonny if it'll give her a story and more air time.

Lorenzo is wonderfully dangerous and has evolved in the way

all good soap characters evolve. The reason TK is still on GH is that he absolutely stunned the GH viewing audience with his portrayal and his chemistry with his costar. It was a good story about a villan realizing he was in love with someone he'd wronged. What was supposed to be a temporary, short term thing turned into several years of very romantic story. He's still got the edge and I like that about the character.

A brief reminder

The great thing about message boards is that they give the fans cause for hope and a way to air their frustrations, and an idea or two for their favorites.
Me, I believe in reality checks.
Have you seen any vets who have returned in the last five years used correctly?
I haven't. They were all sacrificed on the "GH altar of Lost Dreams". Anyone who makes the mistake of coming onto the show and proving to be popular, and worse, increasing ratings, is immediately regarded with suspicion, and dealt with accordingly. Example.
When TR came back for the Feb sweeps in the Virus storyline the ratings soared. He then left for a bit and then came back for the MI romp with TG and ES. It was then announced the FH was going to join them and again things took off. Oh, I almost forgot. During the virus story TR had but one scene with MB, in which he told him to BUTT OUT. After that they never even saw one another. But the ratings stayed solid. Proving that without MB, the show improves.
Getting back. FH comes onto the show things are stupid, but interesting, due to the fact we now have a bunch of professional actors who really know their craft and actually have personalities.
Cut to the present. Where are those actors now? They pose to much of a threat to the heroes created by Guza etal.... that they are gone.
Common sense would tell you that putting vets with MB and his "bunch" would make them look better. Are they that insecure?
As for the forthcomming GF return, big deal. She hangs around for a month then goes, and down it all goes again. At this stage the fans(what there are left) all know the routine. We have an event and then.....nothing. As for bringing back any other vets, why bother. What would be the reason apart from tantalising the fans and creating publicity....which probably answers my question.
So, my feelings tell me that nothing is going to happen between FH, TR, TK or any other combination you can think of.
Sorry to sound off like this but the past just is to depressing. And no, I am not a regular viewer any more. Once a month, or less is plenty.

What shall we do, give up? Yeah, it sucks, but giving up and tossing in that towel is not an option, not here anyway. Most of these "vets" as they are called have other careers now. They haven't all been sitting around for the past 15 years waiting for ABC in all its wisdom to open their eyes and invite them back. All we can do is direct our complaints to ABC and let them know what more is better!

First off I am not the one that wrote the letter..Mrs. Buck Wilde....that has a shrine on the man and his family...did..and that is part of the Campaign....SSFF...standing for SPECTACULAR SCORPIO FAMILY FRIEND.....

The letter that the campaign is asking the fans to send out to TPTB has changed. The one posted here is not the final one that was approved. The new letter states that Robert and Anna need to be involved in what they do best, spy games, as well as supporting Robin, which is well past due. In Soap Opera history, I don’t think there has ever been another soap family with their history still on air and still all portrayed by the original actors. Of course, who could ever take their place?



I would like to see a better story on General Hospital for ALL the Scorpios. It would give me great pleasure to see not only Robert and Anna there for Robin in her current AIDS/HIV story, but to see Mac there for her as well. Robin needs all her family right now, standing strong beside her. Robert and Anna should not only be there for their daughter, Robin, but that they should also be given the opportunity to exercise their talents as super spies. I would also enjoy seeing Mac on the job maintaining some semblance of law and order at the PCPD. In general, I would like to see more interaction between all the Scorpios. This family dynamic is truly one-of-a-kind.



The Scorpio Family represents everything that makes General Hospital a step above the rest of the afternoon soap fare. Their unique history, the marvelous actors who portray them and the endearing love apparent between them when they are on screen together is something I would like to see a LOT more of.

Since I am the one who asked that the letter be changed to add Robert and Anna get to do something more then being Robin's parents, I would hate to think that the letter had not been changed from its original format. Had it not been changed per Buckwilde's agreement, The Findom would have, under no circumstances, participated in this campaign!

Just letting you know that the letter was changed and that it is NOT the same letter that was prematurely sent out to the original members of this campaign. Perhaps you can check with Kate to make sure, but I am very sure especially since the Buckwilde site was apparently using The Findom's message to canvas additional people to support this campaign!

I was wondering who told you or where did you see that the state of the letter that the people at BWC..and I as many others have been sending...was changed...no..it wasn't Mrs. Bucke Wilde has no wish to change the state of the letter..if she wish to do so she will make an announcement before and then the state of the letter will be undergoing the changes that she thinks would be the best.

And about the letter and it's state there is nothing that says that we want...for Robert and Anna to be only the parents and sit around doing nothing else...nope...quite the contrary but the first thing that we want and need them doing..is their parenthood..and the rest if the TPTB wish for it.....well that is in their hands....isn't it.....we know that the summer was a bust....that we know from a sure source...Tristan on his site stated this last August 12....and that is why the Campaign at SSFF was started.

There is a difference

in the wording of the letter you first posted and the one you just posted now. In your first letter you have Anna being there for Robin period. If your first letter is what's going out as part of the campaign count me OUT. I'm not wasting my time or stamps campaigning for ANNA DEVANE playing prop to Robin or Robert for that matter. I want Anna Devane the KICK BUTT SUPERSPY in a story that's all her own. That's what I'm going to campaign for.

I love Anna/Robin scenes, and wish GH would focus...........

Unfortunately it seems that FH is only with GH short term, and already TPTB have wasted this summer by showing very little of this dynamic family. Anna/Robin scenes always make me smile and now that they've thrown Patrick in the mix, I love it even more. I hope we get some more quality scenes between the Scorpio's, along with Patrick before FH leaves.

Ok not really! LOL! But I completely agree. FH and KM have such a fantastic relationship offscreen and that really translates onscreen. Through in Robert and Patrick and you have a Fabulous Foursome. It is truly ashame that much of FH's time this summer has been wasted and there's not much to show for it on GH. Sometimes GH irks me with the way they tease with the vets but very rarely do they truly deliver.

But in addition to the Scorpio Family scenes I want to see a story for Anna! The Lorenzo/Anna/Robert story that started in the beginning of summer was so promising but apparently that was dropped. What a waste! I hope to see this story play out this Fall!

Great shades of Duke, Julian, and the mob!

Well, I just LOVE that Anna is going to flirt a bit with Lorenzo. He is a thug, like Sonny--slick, charming, dangerous, better looking than Cesar but not as good looking as Duke. They can flirt; they may fall in some kind of relationship--you can't love a snake without crawling yourself, so that will make her not like herself because she is forgetting who she is when she is with this lowlife type. Then bad things happen. And when the bad things happen, who always saves the day? Our blue-eyed boy with the sexy smile. Actually, I went back and watched the clips, too: it's when Anna is with these hoodlum types that she remembers who is rock-solid, filled with integrity, reliable, and still as handsome as anything on daytime: Robert. Unfortunately for her (and for so many women!!), if there are 99 good guys and one slimeball in a room, she is attracted to the slimeball. BUT that gives us all a good storyline: Lodown is a snake by nature, she keeps being disappointed by his snakiness, Robt always is there on the white horse. In about 10 or 15 years, they can get married again. Until then, they both need to have these other relationships, knowing full well that they LOVE each other. There is nothing that kills romance on tv like marriage, unfortunately; R&A can be very much more romantic if they are NOT together.

That said, I keep waiting--and I wish one of you good writers would write it at least in fanfic--for the missing episode when all of us good little viewers who have waited 15 years for their reunion get to see and hear an evening when she asks him to come by, when she cries in his arms over Robin, when they hold each other and kiss each other and bolster each other's confidence as they talk about themselves and their daughter. We also need to hear him tell her briefly how he gave up his life to save the two of them, how he became the walking dead just to save them, how he got by the best he could but it was worth the sacrifice. Then SHE needs to cry and hug him and thank him with her tears. It would be just icing on the cake if they were to sleep together, but I could live with the cake--even the cupcake. So far we haven't even gotten cookies. We need some dessert.

Lorenzo Has Ties to the Show?

LOL! He's been on the show for four years now so that would give him as many ties to the show as characters who've only recently returned to the canvas after a decade or more. He gave GH one of the most memorable romances in recent GH history and was the first to rock the boat of many fans by proving that there was someone who could outshine Sonny in Carly's life. It was supposed to be a story that propped S&C but instead, in it's wake, it left Sonny unable to have a successful romantic pairing to this day on GH. Such was the aura of Lorenzo Alcazar.

There's also the chemistry of these two. Mr. & Mrs. Smith is what LoAnna resemble.

Not sure what romance you are talking about because..............

all I ever saw was Lorenzo holding Carly's purse and being angst for S&C. Where was the love story, falling in love with a woman who was in love with her husband and showed it every day!! Thanks, but no thanks - I like my partners to return their love, and Carly NEVER did that for Lorenzo.

Lorenzo is a character with no ties to the show, and absolutely no history. I don't want Anna with anyone like that at all. Lorenzo would only be angst for Robert & Anna, because TPTB would never let the Lorenzo character ever win over Robert, and that is how it should be. Robert & Anna have history and fans have waited a long time for them to get back together.

I'm not getting the Mr. & Mrs. Smith comment, Anna & Lo have shared two scenes that haven't been cut, so how does that fit in???

I just cannot get behind a pairing that is so agenda driven, and that is what Anna & Lorenzo mean to me.

and the only memorable thing about Carlo is that Carly never loved Lorenzo. He lost out to Sonny and the same thing will happen here if you try and compare the two. Anna may flirt with Lorenzo but it's Robert she loves (and vice versa) and that's the story I believe most of the viewing audience wants to see. Scorpios reuniting.

I disagree. Lorenzo has proved to be a very interesting

character. A man who is in many ways a bad boy, but with a dimension of heart and soul and passion that has you wanting to know him and get close to him. He brought GH one of the hottest romances with Lorenzo and Carly.

The show is full of people who've committed very, very bad acts, yet they live and are free because it's soaps, not real life.

Lorenzo and Anna have the right amount of things right and wrong between them plus all that chemistry.

Anna's been wasted all summer and TR has been nowhere to be found, even when Robin needed him. So the plea should be for GH not to waste Anna PERIOD!

I wouldn't mind seeing Anna in a storyline with Lornezo at all, it would be a SL, it would be airtime, Finola would get to act in a continuing dramatic story as opposed to being brought in for 3 scenes at a time and we'd finally get to see Anna in action again.

I'm hoping we get a SL for Anna, one that involves more than being there for Robin. Love her in mamma mode but there was so much more to Anna than that.
Lorenzo reminds me a little of Duke so I'm all for a great adventure story for these two. If Robert is part of it, well it'll be that much more interesting to watch! A story for our Action Anna Devane, bring it on Guza!

Alcazar/Skye/Robert/Anna: Alcazar starts working Anna to find out where Skye is. There are sparks, which Robert does not appreciate. Skye will return and have her baby, which will impact all of this with major repercussions.

I cannot wait to see the sparks fly between Anna & Robert. I've waited a long time to see this couple together. The Scorpio family has been a favorite of mine, and I want to see this couple back together.

Should be great fun for all involved. I've been waiting for sometime to see more of the Ted and Finola absolutely blazing chemistry.

I enjoy her with Robert, but I feel the passion and romance is past history for them, not present history. They're coparents who love each other because of that shared history, but the fire between TK and FH in just a few scenes was amazing.

There's more to Anna and Lo than him 'working' her.

While we know that might be the short term set up to bring RC back to GH, I think there's more to Lorenzo and Anna than him working her. We've got the gun running and international angle. Robert fits into that. I love Robert with Anna, but I also see the chemistry, a whole bunch of chemistry, between Lorenzo and Anna. Should be something for everyone to enjoy.

I'm glad folks can enjoy the storyline...

I personally haven't seen much between Lorenzo and Anna but have been amazed by the chemistry and sparkle that is still there with Robert and Anna. It motivated me to rewatch old clips of them and it's like they've never been apart. Frankly, I'd rather see GH revisit the SUPERCOUPLE of Robert and Anna than worry about anything new. It's what got me excited about Anna's return - her being involved again with Robert and Robin.

LoAnna has what her interaction with Robert is lacking.

TK and FH are fresh, and spark in a way that isn't snide and bitter. I loved Robert/Anna, but I have to say that he was equally if not more so attached to Holly on GH. I'm all for stories with big age differences between the characters, but at this point, I see much more of a zing from a sexual heat standpoint between TK and FH than FH and TR and age compatibility is one of the reasons.

I know what I'm reading.

I'm reading the start of a good story for Anna. Two handsome men attracted to her. One man from her past, older, who let her believe he was dead. The other man, younger and seductive, who is attracted to her, yet wary of her at the same time. My thoughts are that there is more story to tell with Lorenzo. We've seen quite a range of history between Anna and Robert and not all of it was good. Time changes the way we look at other people and how we feel about them. There has been other men in Anna's life---perhaps she feels differently about all of them and wants to move on or perhaps not. The story can only be better with the addition of Lorenzo to the mix of Anna & Robert.

play up that aspect, and resume the Skye and Lo drama when RC returns. People are more interested in seeing the returning vets tell their story...at least that's what I'm interested in seeing. I don't mind some interaction...but, the Scorpio's need to tell THEIR story, for crying out loud! And it sure seems that Lorenzo is all about finding Skye and convincing her to let him help raise their child together, than anyting to do with Anna and/or Robert.

Campaigning for Finola and Ted

There is an ongoing campaign for the summer story that was to be with Anna/Finola and Lorenzo/Ted. In the Soap Opera Weekly last week Ms. Hughes mentioned that she hoped that the story could be fully realized. Ted has mentioned that he would like to work with Ms. Hughes also.

I am in Ted King's fanbase and this is just let you know that we have been campaigning for the story for Lorenzo and Anna. We feel that it could be a wonderful story for these two.

Those few scenes we got to see were great and the cat and mouse game these two characters were playing would have made for a great story. It's hard to let go of the past and I love Robert and Anna and all their bickering, but present day Anna just seems so much younger then present day Robert! I don't know! I think I want to see the Lorenzo/Anna story play out. Anna needs some action and I think she'll definitely have a run for her money for Alcazar! Besides, Robert doesn't quite deserve having her back yet, IMO. Maybe some other time....

The VERY HOT Lorenzo is definitely a guy I'd like

to see more of with Anna. With respect to the past, I no longer can see Robert and Anna as a hot, romantic couple, just parents who still love each other in the way of shared history.

With Ted and Finola, I see the opportunity for a whole bunch of passion. I do think generational differences are showing up between Robert and Anna in a different way than they did when they worked together years ago. I loved them together, but I also liked him with ES. I can still enjoy seeing Robert and Anna interact, while very much enjoying TK and FH light up the action and romance story.

I am writing to you today because I LOVE the Scorpio Family on General Hospital. They are a unique family, portrayed by irreplaceable talents like Tristan Rogers, Finola Hughes, Kimberly McCullough, and John J. York. In Soap Opera history, I don’t think there has ever been another soap family with their history still on air and still all portrayed by the original actors. Of course, who could ever take their place?

I would like to see a better story on General Hospital for ALL the Scorpios. It would give me great pleasure to see not only Robert and Anna there for Robin in her current AIDS/HIV story, but to see Mac there for her as well. Robin needs all her family right now, standing strong beside her. In general, I would like to see more interaction between all the Scorpios. This family dynamic is truly one-of-a-kind.

The Scorpio Family represents everything that makes General Hospital a step above the rest of the afternoon soap fare. Their unique history, the marvelous actors who portray them and the endearing love apparent between them when they are on screen together is something I would like to see a LOT more of.

Why in the world isn't GH using Finola??

On June 30, when Finola aired for the first day of her 2nd GH run, I was very happy, anticipating a whole summer of great GH due to the Scorpios...but now, it's mid-August, and we can count on our fingers the number of episodes Finola has been on. What happened?

I know that Finola was on vacation in there somewhere, but we still haven't seen her on our screens as we were promised by GH.

Is the majority of her run yet to come, due to taping in advance, or did GH just drop the ball? Whatever the case, I hope Finola doesn't mind the broken promises and agrees to do more if and when her schedule allows.

Sadly, this is GH at its BEST-Manipulating Fans

Even GH cannot justify someone not being used at all for an entire summer because they took a couple of weeks off! We should applaud them, though! They used some of the best talent they had (Finola, Tristan) to lure viewers into watching a show that didn't feature then at all. They had Finola and Tristan doing P.R. work for them appearing on talk shows and radio shows promoting storylines they didn't even have! Why? Because they knew that these two massively talented actors would bring interest back to this floundering show! Pretty smart, wouldn't you say? Well, IMO, here's where they screwed up... soap fans rarely forget when their favorite characters have been wronged so unfortunately, next time GH tries this little media blitz game of theirs, it just may backfire and blow up in their faces! I can only imagine what Genie Francis will endure come November.

I certainly hope Finola would consider doing more GH, but only if they get their act together. When an entire show is turned upside down for the sake of one character, we could probably all agree that something's just not right here!

Blame Maurice

Both of Maurice stories for the summer were cut by the network due to audience negativity. So what does GH do? Instead of giving Sonny a rest they insert him in all of Robert's stories. Now Sonny is comforting Robin, interogating Patrick like he was Robin's dad, confronting Lo about the arms deal and supporting Lulu. Clearly, those were all supposed to be scenes that by rights belonged to Robert but Sonny needed to be redeemed after his Soily fest so he steals all of TR's stories. By taking TR's place he has also driven FH out of the picture.

Frankly, I consider us lucky that there are no scenes of Sonny and Anna bickering coming up.

Why isn't GH using Finola?

I think the real problem is they just don't have a real solid storyline for her or Tristan. The writers seem more interested in using them in supporting roles for the Robin/Patrick storyline which is fine...but Anna needs her own story as well. Bottom line, they just need to quit slow poking around and bring Anna and Robert back together with the old magic they had.

I watch Ms. Hughes on the style network and I love it but I really miss seeing her act. She's such an incredible actress; it would be our loss if we didn't get to see her acting again. Before I went on vacation I so enjoyed watching Finola on GH. Now that I am back...where is she? Is her part over already. Please, clue me in.

I can't tell you how wonderful it is to watch you and Tristan Rogers again on GH! Your acting is superb and you both bring a new touch of class to the show. I especially enjoyed the scene with you, Kimberly and Tristan when you first returned to the show this summer. You were explaining your relationship with "Robert,"....there was both laughte and tears and it was all perfect. The chemistry is unbeatable.
Please stay on GH! It's never the same when you're not there. Pass the word on to Tristan too!

I'm waiting with great anticipation further scenes between Lorenzo and Anna. There was more chemistry in their first scenes together than I've seen on this show in quite a while. The characters mesh beautifully. Ted King and Finola look dazzling together!

anna clips: depth, authenticity and tension

I have just been looking at the wonderful R/A clips on BuckWildeweb.com. She must have 40 clips of the time Anna lost her baby/Olivia shooting, etc. It is really wonderful. (Maybe she'll do the one when R finds A in the snow, escaping from old crazy Grant Putnam.)

HOWEVER, when you see them, you will see just what a ensemble R/A/Robin/Sean/Tiff were. What I loved was the depth of the emotion in the interactions in all of those situations. You know, that sexual tension between R and A, even though she is married to Duke, is really interesting and exciting. I hope, hope, hope that these writers give those of us (and our name is legion) who have not watched GH in years and are only back because we LOVE R/A--I hope we get to see a couple of authentic scenes between the two where they are talking about their own feelings for each other. I loved the scene on the island when R/A talk to Robin; he says, "Anna Devane takes my breath away." She has that speech about his being the only man she has ever allowed to rescue her, etc, etc. THAT was wonderful. We need another love scene between those two.

Do they need to get back together? Well, no. We need a few love scenes in which they talk about their feelings, but in fiction, it seems that happily married is the kiss of death unless it's the last thing the couple ever do. Jane Eyre doesn't marry Mr. Rochester until he's been to hell and back and the book only lacks two pages. BUT for R and A, we do need to see that constant sexual tension--he always loves her, she always loves him. In reviewing these wonderful clips, I realize that their relationship is always right under the surface. No matter who he or she is involved in, the audience knows that R and A really love each other and one of these days, they'll be together because that's where they belong.

It was interesting to read the post that says R is looking like her father. I don't think so. AND, speaking of Jane Eyre and Mr. Rochester, he was certainly old enough to be her father. Rhett was older than Scarlet's MOTHER! At the beginning of GWTW, Scarlet is 16 and Rhett is about 36. Mrs. O'Hara is 32 or 34. Sheesh. Time flies. ha!

Anyway, I enjoy reading this board and thought I'd finally made a comment.

i went to that site. thanks. i watched the anna's penance clips. there are two of them. they are about 11 each!!! can you imagine having 11 whole minutes per episode on Anna and robert today? You'll have to review those. They are so touching. You can see the chemistry back then. It's so strong.

Optimistic.....but wary.

In the last 6 months we have seen Tristan Rogers and other vets return to GH......and be utterly trashed. I for one, as a "sometime" loyal have been appalled at how history has blatantly maligned in order to accomodate a third class story. Let us not forget(Bob Guza), there would not be a show if it wasn't for the characters established back in the '80s. And now, when the show is not even a shadow of its former self, these hacks are given license to destroy everything that made GH great, so that Sonny, Jason, Carly, et al, can have a job.
Thsi is crap. I gave up watching this show back in '92, when Finola and Tristan left. What was left of the show left with them. And it never picked up. It was the beginning of a slow decline to what you have now.
But then at the start of this year we have a glimmer of hope. Tristan comes back(after Rick Springfield) in an adventure story(like the good old days) and immediately takes control. What a joy. Scenes with Robin were great and TR looked fabulous. His scenes with Tony evoked great memories and the chemistry was over powering. What they did to Emma was a worry, and it turned out to be a harbinger of the future because after demonstrating that the Vets could bring the ratings back, what happened? They plunged into a "romp" that was at best amusing but also confusing. Robert, Tony and Emma were reduced to a larcenous bunch of idiots with one thing on their minds. Enter Finola in a dramatic manner, and thus began a titillating exchange between her and Robert that was engaging and thought provoking. This two still have IT.
Which brings us to now. All the goodwill generated in Feburary, with the return of new viewers has gone, along with the viewers. The ratings are in the toilet and the show has gone back to what it was. BORING AND BANAL. I shudder to think of what Finola and Tristan will be given to do for the next month or so. The admission that they are both "dead beat parents" is crap. Is this the best this bunch of "hack writers" can do. To my knowledge Guza was around during the "80s. He KNOWS what really happened. How come he's allowed to change history? I see Laura's comming back. God help her.
And so I remain wary. We all want to see the vets back. But like this? I don't think so.

Anna & Robert have such great spark!!!

I loved the scenes between Anna & Robert on yesterday's GH. They have such a natural chemistry together and make me smile and laugh with their banter!! I really hope that GH is going to give us Anna/Robert fans some romantic scenes together this summer.

Does anybody know if Finola might be coming back in the Fall?? I am hoping that she might be able to come back and work around her Style show ??????????

I am so in love with LoAnna. She and Ted King just so ROCK !!! The chemistry between these two are so dynamatic that it would be such a shame to waste it only on 2 months. Am I being selfish YES I admit that I am being selfish. I am so enjoying seeing TK and FH together that I don't want it to stop. LOL LOL

I really do love seeing FH back on GH with Tristan and Kimberly also. The family unit scenes are so wonderful. GH needs more family relatonship !!!!!!!!

It shows that Anna is very much still interested in Robert, despite her protests otherwise. This story is shaping up very nicely, and I think Lorenzo will be just what Robert/Anna need to get both to admit their real feelings for each other.

I wonder who Robert will be with? My gues is either Skye or Tracy, he's in spoilers with both of them this week.

I´m excited about a storyline adn a couple REALLY excited for the first time since Tamara Braun left and the CarLo days.I am an old Anna&Robert fan too but with the constant neglect of old faves etc.. I´ll take what I can get.Hopefully tptb realizes what they have in LoAnna, sizzling chemistry and a supercouple to be in only allowed.

I am a Ted King Fan and was so thrillled to see his character Lorenzo with Anna on last week. They were so good together. The flirting and cat and mouse game that they are starting to play - oh GREAT !!!!

This is going to be go much fum. They look so happy together - smiling all the time and they just look good together. Am I biased alright yes I am LOL LOL

I am also a big viewing fan of Finola Hughes for many many many years ------

Welcome Back to GH again, Finola! It has been like watching another show since Anna re-appeared on the scene late last week! It has been so much fun watching and I've have enjoyed your interaction with everyone, Robin, Robert (the bickering gets better and better!) and of course that hottie, Mr. Alcazar. I look forward to seeing how everything unfolds!
