The Silvertips have released some of the game dates:
The Everett Silvertips are happy to announce their tentative inaugural schedule for the 2003-2004 Western Hockey League season. The Silvertips will play 72 games, 36 home and 36 road games.
The season will start for the Silvertips on Friday, September 19th, when the Silvertips play their first game ever, on the road, at Kamloops. The September road swing will include games in Portland, Tri-Cities and Seattle. Saturday, October 4th, will be the big night when the Silvertips begin play at the new Everett Events Center for their home opener against the Prince George Cougars. The four game home stand will continue on Wednesday, October 8th, as the Seattle Thunderbirds will arrive at the Everett Events Center for the first time. The first Friday home game will be October 10th, when the Regina Pats come to town. The home stand will conclude Tuesday, October 14th, when our neighbors to the north, the Vancouver Giants arrive in Everett.
Other notable home dates in the Silvertips 2003-04 schedule includes a Thanksgiving weekend full of hockey when the defending WHL Champions, Kelowna Rockets come to the Everett Events Center on Friday, November 28th, and Saturday, November 29th. After the WHL's Christmas break, the Silvertips will entertain the Seattle Thunderbirds on Saturday, December 27th. The Silvertips will also be home on a day that comes every four years, Leap Year, February 29th, versus the Spokane Chiefs.
