As we were walking around some of the forest ponds last weekend, we came accross giant carp compared to the gudgeons we usually catch they were at least 2inch long and must of weighed at least 21lb. we had a go at catching these with our 2m whips from acti-sport but they were not interested in our bait. Could someone please tell us why we never caught these, We were doing everything right, we had 30lb line and a size 2 hook to a single maggot, do you think this was the right tactic???? Our current records are 9oz and 5oz(Big Or What compared to the ones james b and scott w catch!).
