Well there is someone out there then! Thought I was the only person (Except Dennis!) in the forest with PC access!
For a start - would someone please give me some clues on how to catch decent carp at Steam Mills during the winter. I'm doing something wrong - fished a few days back and blanked. My pride still hurts.
Secondly - any idea on decent pike waters around here?
Finally - happy new year to our reader!!!
Cheers for now

Responding to your message on how to catch decent carp at steammills. Have you tried some of the deeper pegs like pegs 1 to 20. Steammills is hard in the winter for the carp but if you can find them and you offer a decent bait then you might tempt one. The only lakes i know for pike are cannop ponds around her but theres the river wye with a few decent pike in. Hope you find the carp at steammills. If you do then let us know on the message board. I'm sure a few tips on where the carp are showing up and what bait they are taking would be handy. Tight lines at the lake!!!! | |

Happy new year to all looks like the web site was wasted time. The message board was created for the members to have their say on what went on in the club and have a moan at the committee members but seems like were doing a good job as we dont get much on the message board. I am sorry to find that the carp are not feeding but the fishing is starting to improve but only very slight any ideas on improving it will be taken onboard.
all the best
