Steam mills and Bredon Avon

fished steam mills near the disabled pegs on wed 10th march. sunny day with a slight breeze. in 4 hours had 2 bites on red maggot. 4 pound bream and 1 pound roach, but i enjoyed the day :) I am new to the FODAC and fish steam mills for the silvers. There are some damn good bream and roach in the lake and access is excellent (my mate is in a wheelchair and will be fishing the new season with myself and my son) Thank you to the committee for the hard work!

Fished the Avon at Bredon, alone, on several occaisions. Good roach, perch and something that took off like a steam train (not netted) probably a barbel.

On a very sad note I was seconds to late to stop a very friendly robin from picking up my maggot baited hook. The damage was done. I had to cut the line and hope he survives. Please be aware that these birds are quick, he spent most of the time perched on the keep-net arm.
I will be renewing my membership next week and look forward to many more fine days on the lakes in surroundings I could not ask to better. Tight lines all
