I was just wondering if anyone in the forest actually cared about the environment and the ponds we fish in around here!! As i am a keen carp angler i regulary take a walk around steammills lake and see what is going on. last week i went down to have a look around and noticed large amounts of rubbish all around the paths etc and even in the water, after about an hour of walking around the lake i managed to collect 2 bags full of litter and i am not even a bailiff or anything!!! so surley if i can manage to pick up rubbish other members can!!!!!!! I just wanted to say that the fishing is starting to pick up for carp at steammills i have had 6 carp of the top withen 4 hours in the last week, the biggest being only 10lb but lots of fun!

I agree with scott I fished Meadowcliffe today for the first time on this years season ticket in the late afternoon and found rubbish in my swim by the car park when fishing there and removed it!
I wish people would learn to take there rubbish home with them as it spoils the enjoyment of others fishing the pools!
I did manage to catch 1 Common Carp of 3lb8oz & lost two other good fish in the reeds!
