I have recently been seen rowing around Steam Mills with an echo locator checking depths and the odd fish movement. I have just found out that there is an easier way to check the depth of your swim whilst fishing. It involves launching yourself head first into the water counting and making a mental note of the position of the fish as you sink. Upon finding the bottom kick off to the surface counting as you rise to determine the depth. If you can't find the bottom you should have remembered to start counting on the way down. So that people don't feel the need to attempt the above method I will be making any findings available to all.
p.s. Just so you all know, Steam Mills isn't 40ft,50ft,70ft,90ft or 100ft+ at its deepest it is 46ft at the moment you will not find a fish below 20ft

OK. It was me.
I'd just like to say thanks to Chris for fishing out some of the gear that went in with me.
Also, to Robbie for retrieving my prized pliers and clippers.
Peg 16 is very deep, even close in at at one stage I was probably over 10 feet down. I can laugh about it now, but not at the time!
