around this time last year at Steam mills I managed some cracking bream up to 5 pounds or so. All taking bread paste. I think it was peg 13 or 14. Could any one let me know how its fishing? Any tips on pegs, baits, tactics for the silvers would be welcome. Thanks for the great fishing FODAC.

Can't give too many details as I am just recovering from a bout of sea fishing at Weymouth, Which I can highly recommend. Its amazing what a certain type of carp pellet can do when fed off a harbour wall. When I go next time I might try my usual boilie to see what that can do.
Back to the matter at hand Steam Mills.
The other day whilst patrolling the lakes (2am) I came across several large bream on peg 17. On peg 44 I saw a couple of nice perch one was approx.1.5lb.
I can recommend spinning for the perch when you see smaller fish jumping out of the water to evade them. As for most of the other silver fish, you can't go wrong with maggot.

Glad you caught at Weymouth Chris. I have never tried the briney so might give it a try this year. I just come back from Lake district, WOW what a place, recomend any one to visit. Fishing must be good up there to. Also managed to watch the Lake Braithwaite Ospreys hunting for 30 mins. Anyhows, thanks for info on Steam mills. I have tried the ole gentles on several occaisions but find the bream like chunks of bread or paste most of the time. My boy caught a superb roach off peg one, knocking on 2 pound I reckon. On the maggot. Cheers, keith.
