It would seem by the number of messages posted, that the FODAC have a widespread problem with litter on there waters.
I have been a member of Vauxhall Angling Club in Bedfordshire for many years.
They do not have a problem with litter, because there waters, which are many times more than the FODAC, are only open to members.
The price of joining is double that of the FODAC, but it is well worth the extra, knowing that only dedicated Anglers who will respect the waters are fishing with you, and not some yobbo who has no respect for the club or its waters.
Incidently, I am soon to move to the Coleford area "Hence why I am on this site" and would appreciate any info on the waters.

The litter problem that the club has, comes from members who have no respect for anything. Litter is left by the youngest club members to the oldest club members. Two people were banned last season because they were caught in the act and identified. Its all very well criticizing the commitee, BUT HAVE YOU DONE ANYTHING TO CONFRONT A LITTERBUG? Short of the club installing CCTV at every lake with security tags fitted to each permit which is scanned as you arrive and leave. There is no way that all 600+ members can be watched at the same time.
The basics of it are this:
If bins are installed at the lakes the MUPPETS set fire to them.
If you ask a MUPPET to pick up their litter they do, and then throw it away in the carparks or surrounding woodland.

the debate about litter goes on.it is not only the fisherman the leaves the litter,it is also left by others that walk, ride and sit round the ponds and can't be bothered to clean up after themselves.if you see any litter then just pick it up whether it's your's or not.don't just leave it to the few who walk round and pick up bag fulls.if we all do a bit then the litter will be kept under control.the commitee does what it can, instead of slagging them off why not join it and put up or shut up!!!
