They did not walk away. In a regulation regular season game they would have continued but due to the fact that this shoot-out was for practice purposes only they just ended the game. There was no point to continue on.

Well, in the Everett vs. Portland game, there was a sudden death shootout after the normal shootout was tied.
So, there must be sudden death even in Pre-Season. I think Seattle walked off.

After seeing the Portland game I think that Seattle left in a tantrum. I think they lost and decided that they didn't want to finish. The ref's were down there for awhile talking so I really did try to give them the benefit of the doubt. I have asked around and the only thing everyone (even Seattle fans) have been able to tell me is that they walked off. I will hold my thoughts here as hard as it is.
