I just want to thank the person who posted the link to the website to view the pictures of the Torrance Fire Dept 2004 Fire Service Day. The photos are just so good. They could not have been any clearer. I enjoyed looking at them. Also while I am here I would like to say, that thanks to this website and Laurie Schuppe at Randyfans, I now am watching episodes of Emergency that I had not seen for 25 years or more. I am so grateful to her and the person who posted on here letting me know about Laurie. She has fulfilled a wish I have had for so long to see my favourite ever t.v. show again. I am glad to say I still love the show just as much as I did when I was a teenager all those years ago. That just shows what a special show it was and always will be.
Those are nice pictures. And sometimes I feel like a teenager again myself when I'm talking about the Emergency episodes. I was watching "Foreign Trade" again this morning, and I was struck again by the "just right" blend of comedy and then the tense thrill of the rescue of the grandmother in the hot rod on the bridge. I enjoyed all the shows at the time and am so happy to see them again too. I only hope someday to see them on DVD, with all the scenes that have been cut out. In the meantime, I really love the fanfic. I hope everyone will have a happy, safe weekend holiday. Take care.
Yeah, Fayette, Sue it makes me feel good to see this show. And I really think there is still hope for it to be on DVD. I got this mailing just yesterday with a ton of stuff that is put on DVD, some more old shows from even the 60's, also I think that since Universal & NBC merged or whatever there is for sure the possibility. Oh, Fayette this catalogue showed WAGON TRAIN is put on VHS, well a set of three tapes! Also anyone rememeber COMBAT--it was put on DVD! Remember Vic Morrow, he was in The Seekers with Randy!
Sure, I remember Combat! Vic Morrow was Sgt. Saunders and Rick Jason was Lt. Hanley. I liked Lt. Hanley, (tall dark and handsome) best. I don't have that DVD yet, but I may get it if Emergency doesn't get released soon. He (Vic) sure had a mean part as Mr. Pell in the Seekers, but Abraham solved that problem permanently. I would like to get some of the Wagon Train episodes, but I want the ones with Robert Fuller as Cooper Smith. That's been a long time ago, and I was just a kid. I really enjoy all the different roles the guys have been in over the years. I wish we could see Randy and Kevin together again in something, I haven't heard any more about USAR though. Maybe some day. Take care, everyone.
