Hi this is my first post here but I've been reading here for a long while now. I am a huge fan of Randys ofcourse. I have followed him since I was a child, I was about 6 or 7 when my father started to watch Emergency! And I loved Johnny Gage and from then on I was hooked. I watched all of the shows in re run for years as a teenager and then watched him on Detective School and Operation Petticoat. I loved the John Jakes novels and was thrilled to see him as the star of the Seekers! Then I didn't see him very often until one day he popped up on my fave soap, Loving! I couldn't have been more happy and I watched that show until the very end of the City. I have seen him in most of his many guest appearances and have always followed his career hoping he'd be back on regularly. I can't wait to see him back on ATWT!!

When I got online a few years ago my first search was for Randolph Mantooth LOL and was so excited to find all the sites and the fanfic!! I was very happy to see his own site created as well. My husband always makes fun of me for liking that "old guy" so much but he is my first love, my first celebrity crush and I will always like him LOL

Ok, well hello to you all, sorry for the book LOL

Hi Aim 111, its good to have another Randy fan join the board discussions. I really enjoy Randy's other works too, of course there is something so special about Johnny Gage. I was very happy too to hear he'd be on another soap. And I'll always be so grateful to TVland for showing so many of his guest appearances before they went to all comedy. I recorded most of them there and FX had reruns of a couple of shows in the early 90's that he was on. I always try and catch his other appearances and I noticed Hallmark is going to begin showing Jag and Walker, Texas Ranger in case anyone doesn't have a video from the years they've been on USA, and (wherever else), if they want one. I sure wish there was some more variety on tv now, like a Randy Mantooth Channel. I'm not holding my breath for that one, though, lol.

You know, I just came home from a bad day at work and this message board just sometimes cracks me up! A Randy Mantooth channel, wouldn't that be just perfect? Oh well, I guess in my dreams...I love lurking on this message board, only just started participating. It makes me smile.

Well Hi Julie, I'm glad you're joining in too. And I'm glad the board provides a smile or even a laugh to everyone who needs one, and these days we all do. I can't write fanfic myself and don't have a clue about running a website, but for an old lady, my imagination won't quit. But a Randy Mantooth channel would be very popular. I see a channel where we could get all his episodes of the 70's to today, even the ones that are impossible to get in reality. I would love to be able to see his early TV movies, "Vanished" and "The Bravos" and "Marriage, Year One". I know that Sally Field and Robert Pratt were the married couple, but Randy was in it, at least briefly. And if we had all of Emergency and the soap operas and his short lived series and guest appearances and movies that would be hours and hours of good entertainment (something imo, I seldom find in the tv listings). Since I'm dreaming this up, might as well dream big.

Oh thanks for the warm welcome. I have been wanting to post for months but am a bit shy about this kinda stuff. I am so happy to have been able to find out so much about him as a person through these kind of groups. Its nice to know he is such a good guy.
