my story

Hi Emerald-
It's been 5 months today since his wife called me and told me it was over. Mine is a long sad story, like many of the women here. I would be happy to share it with you for your book. Some good has to come from all this.
I'll give you a snapshot, it's too complicated to go into unless you really are interested.
29 years ago my xmm and were each other's first true loves. He was from a wealthy family and I was not. It lasted for nearly 3 years when his parents and my own lack of confidence finally succeeded in scaring me away. I left him and broke his heart. Fast forward to 18 months ago. He was living in Europe with his wife and 4 kids. He emailed me he was coming home for a visit and wanted to have lunch. It was a dream come true. Even though I had married I never stopped loving this man. He came, we had lunch, he told me his real reason for the visit was that he had never stopped loving me and he thought of me every single day of his life since I left him. That started a very passionate, intense 13 month emotional and physical affair. He found excuses to fly to see me many times and eventually brought his family back from Europe. He called me at least once every day, we emailed and texted through out the day. He said we belonged together and it was his priority in life to make it happen. I left my husband of 17 years and moved my 2 children into a new house. He was working towards that as well, supposedly. She found out about us once then again 4 months later after she thought it was over. He said he was leaving her to be with me and was going to tell her that on the last day I spoke to him. 2 weeks later, she called and told me he was sitting next to her and he would never speak to me again.
I'm still trying to recover. It was touch and go for a long time but I'm strong and I'm managing. There is much more to the story, this was just a very short version of all the things that occurred. If you would like to hear more I would be happy to share.
