Feature RequestsbyGreat program. Here are some feature requests: 1. Preserve the Created/Modified dates when you encrypt and when you decrypt. I setup the system to encrypt everything in my 'My Documents' folder. When I want to use the files, I decrypt the whole folder, and when I'm done I re-encrypt the whole folder. Unfortunately this results in 2 things: a. My decrypted file dates are all the time that that I ran the decryption. This is a real pain. b. My encrypted file dates are all the time that I ran the encryption, which means that my differential backup now thinks that every file has changed! Also a pain given that I backup my files to an FTP site which takes an hour for my whole folder, even though maybe one file has really changed. 2. Allow command-line encryption/decryption. I noticed that I can call NoSee with a single file argument, but I'd like the ability to specify the password as well. You're probably thinking that this would encourage people putting their passwords in BAT files, and you're right, but so long as I keep that BAT file in a secure location I should be OK. e.g., I'd like to have my FTP differential backup automatically encrypt a folder before moving it to a (relatively) insecure FTP location. So long as the batch file stays on my computer, the files at the FTP site are secure. 3. Allow encryption/decryption of an entire directory, or at least the ability to specify wildcards in the control files. -Rich |
