Re: Runtime errorbyOn a wild hunch, you could ensure you have a directory called "C:\temp". I see you did good detective work! Unfortunately as I have no such system, I am at a loss. If you have Visual Basic, I could send you the VB Source and you could run it in interpretive mode and possibly locate the exact error. NoSee is VERY, VERY secure and thus does a complicated erasure so that no version of the original can be restored by disk-restore utilities. But it may be that you need far less security. For example, if you are transporting floppies that contain files that contain personal memos and job-interview schedules, etc. you could do this 1) Zip all the files into one ZIP file 2) Rename that file from ABC.ZIP to ABC.DOC Anyone trying to access it will conclude you have a corrupt Microsoft Word document. NoSee is really overkill for any reasonable person. I just did it because writing crypto programs is my hobby and I enjoy it. I use it all the time on my system, but if pressed, I would have to admit that I have no data that requires that level of security. If you would like a simple encryption program and have QBasic on your system, let me know. Mac |
