that one of 2 things will happen to the Banana plant.

1.) Bananas will be extinct in 10 to 20 years time.

2.) biotech facilities will design a version of the banana plant that will be so reproductably adept that it will rape the surrounding ecosystems and repercushions will be responsible for a large scale extinction of insects and other plants (perhaps small mammals)

Well I'm not much a fan of bananas unless it is banana split.
Probably prices of bananas will go up so be prepared to spend maybe $3 for a bunch. hehe

but then again...who the hell eats bananas?
