beats happening was great as always! first band were amazing (forgot their name again!) so were the futureheads... then got to pzazz night club and was havin a great time until i was showing a fanzine to someone and the bouncers came up to me "wot you doing",, "just showin someone my magazine" to which he replied "we've had enough of dirty little people leaving dirty flyers all over the place" and then they grabbed me and chucked me out the back door, with me laughing all the way and them shouting "dirty little student, dont come back!" ha, see you next week then!, then i got a kebab!.. thats now manor quay and pzazz who've chucked me out coz they dont like the fanzine! great!

I've similar experiences of giving out flyers. At Fugazi in Leeds I was giving out flyers to the crowd after they played for Q and not U in on the following Monday. This woman took 300 flyers out of my hand and tryed to bin them. She just didn't get that I was flyering a gig that linked with Fugazi themselves. I tried to explain the whole diy thing to her and ended up getting angry. If only I could have got Ian off the stage to tell her the crack! hehe that may have sorted it. just proves the restrictions that bigger playing bigger venues puts on the crowd. i mean fucking hell, i was flyering a gig for a band on their label. nevermind eh?

yeah, drawn by lines, they were ace, first gig aswell, lookin forward to seein em again!... no-one would let me do my trademark dance move of jumpin over their heads into forward roll styl-ee, thats just wrong anyway, probably best!

I was once not let in because I had long(ish) hair and coz my friend Dave was too tall!?! Nevermind Tim it's their loss.
