I duuno maybe I am getting too old too quickly, but I wanted to go on a rant about something that pisses me off every year I go. (I feel that this forum is the best place for it because it is kind of doccumenting our lives and our thoughts)
Every year of the festival there has always been a small amount of people who get down early on the first day and set up a good area for camping. A kind of circular area with the tents around a circular space. As the festival progresses the area usually gets filled by tents of lets say (not in most cases), less desirables. They come, and camp in our carefully selected area and the atmosphere and make up of the camp changes. Anarchy is fun, but when people just are being plain stupid, and possibly spoiling it for other people, then this just takes the fucking piss. Generally things aint that bad, it just seems that all the hardwork of setting up a good community is soon destroyed by lets say 'crust orientated' individuals taking advantage of the situation. Generally I have a great time, but there are just these moments when I wanna walk to that fool smack him and tell him to fuck off. I am not really trying to get to a point it is just something I have become aware of and just needed to get something out.
Did anyone enjoy the gated yellow camping areas? Although they offered good security, the spirit seemed to have been affected. I hope that they do not, gate red campsite this year, because I would be very much be in favour of a move to red campsite this year.

Well I aint got to worry this year, because I will be one of those crusties without a ticket. Now that some more bands have been announced, I am definately not going, its shite!!! Crust-Camp-Crew

I agree the crust ruins stuff for the people. As Ol said last year they brought a "Dry vibe" with them. And then the Opex twin sloppy turned up. What a fucking nightmare. Last leeds fest was the crummiest yet. I remember the good old days of X-Men top trumps and eying up tims beer keg.
