On my visit to the commons dining hall tonight, I was confronted with an enormous line for chicken and mashed potatoes. They do not have this dish often, so I decided to invest the time and wait. The portion I was given was hardly worth the effort and would certainly not suffice for a full meal. The line had grown even larger during the wait, so I was forced to look elsewhere for sustenance. The cereal display caught my eye, and I filled a bowl with Lucky Charms.
Now, as everyone knows, Lucky Charms cereal consists of grain cereal with marshmallow shapes distributed throughout. Since I had some time at my disposal yet, I decided to try something a bit different. When I used to eat Lucky Charms (I no longer eat breakfast for scheduling reasons), I found myself eating the grain grudgingly and really only enjoying the marshmallow pieces. Tonight, I had the idea of eating ALL the grain cereal first with the idea of then later being able to enjoy the only part I really liked anyway, and having the cereal reach its full potential. This was a bad, bad idea.
While the marshmallows are a tasty treat when distributed sparingly across the grain cereal, let me tell you, they are thoroughly revolting when taken alone. I was left with an inedible and disgusting mass of artificial coloring and sugar. People, the cereal manufacturers are professionals and there is a reason why cereals come prepared as they are. Do not think that you can improve on the designs of people working thousands of hours with only customer satisfaction in mind. You will be very disappointed.

That happened to me once, when I decided I'd only eat the wheat side of all my frosted mini-wheats and save the frosted sides for last. Didn't work out the way I had hoped.

I dont think you're weird... (I KNOW you're weird) but that's not the point... I love those little marshmallows.. I pick them out and eat them before I eat the rest of the cereal...
They're after me lucky charms!
