someone told me about Brookfield a company that makes 1/24 scale die cast metal chevy tahoe's and chevy suburbans. They are available thru NASCAR dealers that carry the Action brand name. I hope it will help you.
If you are using a newer road champs, you just paint the whole wheel black, then before the paint dries, you wipe off the small center portion "hub"..now you have instant black wheels with a chrome. That is how I do it, and I know most other custom makers do it. I'm pretty sure that his how Carorama does it to,Good luck

I PAINT MINE TOO AND THEY TURN OUT JUST FINE. HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE REALLY WANTING ACCURATE, NEW STYLE, WHEELS, ROADBLOCKERS OUT OF ARIZONA MAKES CAST METAL WHEELS EXACTLY LIKE THOSE THAT COME ON THE 2001 INTERCEPTORS.
I HAD HIM MAKE UP A 1/43RD SCALE CAR FOR ME WITH SHOTGUN, RADIO CONSOLE, DECK LIGHTS, SPOT LIGHT THAT WAS ACTUALLY DRILLED INTO THE PILLAR, AND THESE WHEELS. THE CAR IS AWESOME AND VERY REASONABLY PRICED. ALL I DID WAS METAL-FOIL THE WHEELS AND THEY LOOK GREAT. CONTACT HIM AND MAYBE HE CAN DO YOU A CHASSIS EVENIF YOU DON'T WANT A COMPLETE DETAILED CAR.

Simply paint with black acrylic (water based) paint leaving the center unpainted. Additional option, paint entire wheel black and use "bare metal foil" to cover the center.... this works well with the Gearbox Crown Vics.
They have several hundred dollars of my money and they have seemed to have forgotten to e-mail me with the current status of my order or a refund.

This is Rich from RES 1 CUE. I am sorry for the long
delay in getting to you. As you may or may not know,
our decal producer was killed in a motor vehicle
accident several weeks ago. Gene was also with Andy as
they were going to make a department delivery up in
Michigan. Gene suffered sever head trauma and to date
has not been able to communicate very well.
Since the accident, I have been trying to get
everything taken care of that Gene would normally do.
He actually handled the business portion and I the
production portion of the business.
Anyway, I did finally come across and figure out the
projects due/pending and came across your project
today. The cars were painted [I did them] however the
decals were not correct according to the notes Gene
had left in your file.
As I am unable to decal cars [due to my bad depth
perception]. I will be sending refunds by the end of
this month [October]. The delay is because I need to
get the checking/business accounts updated so I can
issue and sign the checks legally. Currently I am not
authorized to sign checks. Our attorney is assisting
me with this matter and has informed me to just notify
all who will be receiving the refund of the situation.
He has assured me that everything will be in order
before the end of October. Then I can refund the money
in full to you.
I will advise you via e-mail when I send out your
refund. All I ask is that you send/verify the address
to where the refund is to go to.
Again, I am so sorry for this situation. I know Gene
was very excited about this project.

I was wondering if it could be humanley possible to make a custom made maybarry sheriff car either with modern day graphics or with the graphics that they used on the show on a modern day crown vic or impala. I am also wondering what the heck happend to classic hobby. I have tride to get in it sevral times and failed.

We are now accepting pre orders for the next shipment of the Cruiser 1 Premier which is a plain white 2001 Ford Police Interceptor. These cars are graphics free, except for a CRUISER 1 logo on the left rear bumper which is easily stripped off....perfect for customs.
The price will be $4.71 apiece (plus S&H) with minimum orders of 72, (additional quantities must be in multiples of 36). These Premiers are shipped in master cases of 108 pieces, with three cases of 36 in each master case.
The cars are packaged in a poly wrap bag.
The cruisers will be equipped with a red and blue strobe lightbar with the silver strip across the top, pushbars, spotlights and the newest antenna.
Pre orders must be prepaid, and shipping quotes can be provided with quantity and destination zip code. Priority Mail rates will apply.
