....i can MIG and arc and all that jazz....but what I want to learn is TIG. Got the basic jist, principle and understanding, but I'm missing knowledge on the details. Anywho, I ran across a Victor conversion kit to use a MIG with TIG capabilities. What I want ot know is this real. Does it work? Does TIG work on a same wave pattern comparable to MIG? Amps comparable? Basicly I just want to know if this is snake oil or not? It would be nice to to be able to mess around with TIG on my own a little before setting into a hefty unit. ANy info would be appreciated.
