I counted the teeth on my tranny sprocket. . . the original was a 22 tooth setup. . . changed to a 26. I think that will suit me. I can book up to Ohio in the summer at about 85 or 90MPH and not worry about overtaxing the engine. I will miss the acceleration, but I prefer to have a more reliable ride.
Thanks for all the help with the engine stuff. I'm gonna try to figure out how to put it all back together on my own, but don't be surprised if I call ya up again. I'm having a blast learning how to work on this thing, but it's killing me that I don't have a bike to ride. I guess if I did, tho, this one would still be sitting, broke and in the corner. It's motivation, I guess.
