buildin a hardtail for this xs650.........gonna need some solid slugs for it.
What ya usually charge for a couple of slugs........ballpark?
Sizes/dims i'll hafta get for ya yet (still have to cut the tubing) but it's getting close to needing them.
Right now, only going to need 2 for the hardtail, but will be needing 4 more when i go to stretch the downtubes, and maybe 2 real big ones if i decide to stretch the backbone..........
How's the BSA comin along??

Going to take more than a couple weeks of overtime to get back what I lost, and $25 Errr $30 a week that I'm able to pull out of my check to work on my bike isn't cutting it anymore.
I'm buying a cheap mini lathe/mill setup with what I made this weekend and will be able to at least make up some frame slugs and little shit I need to cut down the Kaw I got from Mark and maybe sell it for a profit ??
Lots of luck on the BSA dude ..............

is it? I wanted that. . . you can put threads in anything and it's a milling machine and lathe in one. I want that thing so bad. . . If you get it. . . can I play with it, too?

I want it so bad. The shit I could get myself into with that. . . damn!
However, you have the opportunity to make some $$$ with that. I'll order stuff from ya, I'm sure. I will need some of those slugs you mentioned and I was going to use that machine to make my axle brackets... Hope you can find the time in your increasingly busy schedule to make some stuff for me down the road. Would be more cost effective for me to just order them from you and also, that money would be going into your pocket instead of Harbor Freight's. Only downside is, I don't get to make them myself.

Ya gotta take a break every now and then. You guys are gonna have to come down here and get some downtime. I know of a beach where nobody goes and it's just you, a case of Bud, and the sound of the ocean. . . and the occasional thong bikini on a young, rich, tan chick. Very theraputic.

Saturday and Sunday both were the two most beautiful days I've seen since I've been down here. From 7:30am til 10pm on Saturday, I hit that paint project about every two hours (paint dry time) and made some real progress. However, I got a call late Saturday evening that my cousins from the Caymen Islands were in town on Sunday along with the rest of my dad's side of the family (which I haven't seen most of 'em since I was about 8), so I headed down to St. Pete yesterday. I was hoping to have that practice piece completely done yesterday, but again I was delayed. I have the flames painted and cleared. . . just have to paint the background. Hopefully by Wednesday, I'll have some pics for ya. I have definately learned a few things...one very important less. . . sand between each clearcoat. I think I may have screwed up the clearcoat on the practice piece. . . but that's why I did it first.

this morning and she's stuck in Atlanta until at least tomorrow, maybe Sunday. It all depends on when the power comes back because the airport is obviously shut down. Bad thing is, the only reason she was going was to do her Guard weekend. By the time she gets up there, she'll probably have to rush to catch her flight out of there to go to her civilian job in whatever damn state she's in next week.

....blew the condensers out the other day in the Royal Star. Figuring its was a combo of age and heat. Waiting for shop to get a pair in, they were outta stock.
Didn't get those bars on yet, have to run new hydraulic lines for front brake and clutch.

I'll be laying the striping for the flames tonight on my practice piece of steel. Early next week I should have some pics for you to pick the color and type of flame you guys want. I'm hoping to get 3 or 4 different versions (two with a light pinstrip, one with some shading, one with some tinting, but all ghost... if I can get it right) I'm gonna bust some ass this weekend to get it done (pray for sunshine!) and after you decide which one looks the best, I'll start on your tank (next week!).

They've had all kinds of stuff on the news down here about it. Now there's a tropical depression off the Miami coast heading towards the Gulf. If that sucker heads North once it gets there. . . we'll be in a world of shit again. . . LOL.
PS: my house is on a hill. . . if you can call it that. . . LOL. . . more like an ant hill, but elevated none-the-less. Just needs to stop friggin' rainin'!

This weekend, Got the oil lines in the tank but didn't want to run the lines till I made the exhaust so I didn't warm them up too much
So I made my exhaust from a bunch of old pipes I had laying around and finished them except for cutting the ends of the exhaust off (Cause I'm not quite sure how short to make them, Maybe just enough to clear the frame and not blow exhaust on it ??) and make some mounts for them.
What do ya think ???

are ya thinking on chrome or power coat or bar-b-q grill black? also, are you using a digital camera or a scaner? pics are crystal clear. i take my pics to cvs and have a CD made (regular 35mm camera), but the pics are to big to load on the board. i had a friend down size them, but she made them almost to small.LOL

I'm thinking of that wrap stuff at least till it gets to the big pipe, trouble is that's about $80/90 and could take a while to save my allowance fer that
I use a digital camera (Cheap-O)and resize and compress them with photo shop

seems to be coming along all too easy. You sure you shouldn't be doing that fer a livin?
The pipes look killer. Would look real mean in some of that heat wrap stuff. . . but chrome would look good, too. Impossible to go wrong with that setup any way ya look at it.
Now I know who to call when it comes time for my pipes.
Bitch at ya later,

I guess not to bad but sure taking a Long Time to finish, But I think I can almost see a little glimmer at the end of this tunnel .....
I think that wrap too, But $$$$$, of course cheaper than chrome I would think although I'm thinking it will be flat black till I can get the wrap ??
Bitch at me anytime, and save up all the old pipes you can find and clear a spot on the couch when your ready to make some pipes

one in Hamilton, anyway. They're huge! And they usually have everything. That's just up the road a ways from Ratpan.
Do you know where that is, Jim? It's down that little side street behind the U-Haul dealership on Rt. 4 by High Street (or main street, or whatever the hell they call it these days).
