To Those Who Support Jessia Hsuan

First of all, before anyone comes pounding on me and doubt my qualifications, I am a Chinese from Hong Kong, and is pursuing an English Literature degree in Canada. I therefore speak, read, and write fluent Chinese and English.

After reading the original Chinese text and the first English translation quoted here, I would have to say that the English translation is a little ambivalent. In case it's still unclear for certain individuals, Jessia Hsuan simply stated that in all of TVB's drama series, the only ones which are widely popular and are led by a female role are those that feature Esther Kwan. Readers of the Chinese text would understand that Jessica Hsuan only meant to praise Esther Kwan.

However, I believe that we must also understand that there ARE people out there who truely love Chinese actors and actresses but are not fluent in Chinese. I think that it is absolutely wrong to visciously attack someone who has already repeatedly offered her apology. Besides, I don't believe that it is Nikki's fault that she doesn't read Chinese, and has to rely on inaccurate English translations.

I am disappointed to know that Jessica Hsuan fans do not welcome non-fans in their forum. We Esther fans, on the other hand, have open minds and big hearts, and welcome all polite voices in our forum.
