There are so many site where you can download winrar ... but here is one ...

this page is in German ... but if I don't remember wrong ... you can download the english version

download this one: WinRAR 3.41 Final (Englisch, 1.137 KB, Windows)

When you have downloaded and installed it to your computer ... it will recognize all winrar files (*.rar) ... and when you double click on the winrar file ... it will open the winrar program itself.

Have you ever used winzip before ?? Winrar is just like winzip ... but it is better

If you know what is winzip for (we use winzip to zip (pack) big files into smaller one) ... then the purpose of winrar is just the same. So you have to extract *.rar files before you can use it ...

So, here is how to extract files:

1) Double click on the winrar file (it will open winrar for you)

2) click on the EXTRACT button ... then it will ask you where to extract the file ... you can choose the path wherever you want ...

that's it
