Tosks in Albania, and Arvanites in Greece ARE related, BUT they are a distinct group, decended from ancient EPIRUS which was an ancient nation not part of the Greek ethnic group, or Albanian, (though they may have had SOME things in common with them). Flimsy excuses from both sides are used to legitimize their claim of them, and erase them as a dinstinctive people, and insist they are part of the Greek ethnic group or Albanian. GO DO research of different accounts (some are deceptive inaccurate, biased propaganda interpretations), and compare and contrast them side by side and you'll see that this is a viable interpretation. Ghegs are the REAL Albanians, and are more racially pure. Though there may be Albanian and or Greek blood in the Tosks and Arvanites, that does not make them of original Albanian or Greek ORIGIN. After the Turkish Ottoman Empire lost most of the Balkans, scattered Gerrymandered ethnic groups scrambled to achieve nationhood. And those that failed were conquered or divided by more that one country that had nationhood. Tosks-Arvanites didn't regain a new independent country, and their land was taken by modern Greece and Albania. Some of their culture is being adopted into modern Greek culture, and some may be being eliminated. I'm not as familiar with what Albanian policy toward the Tosks is. Tosks and Arvanites are finding similarity with each other, NOT BECAUSE THEY'RE BOTH GREEK,OR ALBaniaBUTbecaseTHEY ARE COMMON DECENDANTS OF A FORMER INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ENTITY, that did not have EVERYTHING in common with Greeks and Albanians, as is claimed
