...also, it seems that accounts in more recent editions of well-known encyclopedias and other sources are BEING REWRITTEN in ways and INTERPRETATIONS that seem to reflect REVISIONIST HISTORY THAT GREECE WANTS NOT ONLY IT'S PEOPLE TO BELIEVE, BUT ALSO OTHER WESTERNERS. If someone openly DISAGREES WITH WHAT A BRAINWASHED AND INFLAMED "GREEK" BELIEVES or wants to believe, THE GREEK MAY EXPLODE - INTIMIDATING THOSE WHO KNOW OR THINK DIFFERENTLY from freely speaking their mind.

How true, alternateView. But it is the same for many peoples of the Balkans, and not just the Greeks.
In a face to face encounter, one can defeat the ignorant that reacts negatively to someone that thinks and expresses a "different" opinion that completely goes againest what they were wrongly taught. All you have to do is to continue with your opinion without falter. Since they have been taught to think the way they do, and your opinion derives from historical facts and common knowledge, you know who is the winner, even if you let the other think they are. You can not fix them so why bother.
To do this on these forums is futile and should not even be attempted. It is just a waste of time. But do express your opinion and let them explode with no comment or reply.

True, Amerinako. Many Greeks on these boards are the worst in conversation I have ever met. In reality, and in Greece, many are sick and tired of the many Greek whiners and bitchers that complain about everything, without offering a solution to the issue. They have become complacent.
