Oroville California is not that far from Bluff Creek when traveled cross country. But IMO this is not the same creature we have in the South. The area surrounding Bluff Creek has a rich history of sightings and from the sightings/encounters related to me when I lived in the area these creature are much larger and stronger than those within the South, I've never either heard of or been told of encounters where they walked or ran other than bi-pedal.
