The feeders being cut down has been going on for years...I'd put a game camera over one and they would cut the others down...move the camera and they would cut that one down...the cut on the rope is a straight neat cut as done with a sharp instrument...size of rope didn't matter but I guess at times they would forget their cutting tool and just break the limb the feeder was hung on and carry or drag the feeder into the thickets...I have had them cut down and leaned against other trees...many times I've seen what appeared to be large dirty finger prints on the feeders...
A few times the feeder was cut down with a game camera pointed at the feeder...when Josh and I saw this we just knew we had the culprit on film...the next to last picture was a squirrel...the last picture was Josh walking up to get the camera...another time, this past winter, this has happened twice...first time we had a shabby game cam but the next time I hung a good one...by photos we can see the feeder moving...this was at night...the next frames later that night...the feeder was cut down leaning against a tree...
Several oddities concerning precision cutting...a man took me to an area where there were two deer...the top of the skulls were removed to get to the brains...not antlers since both were doe...the cut looked like a laser cut...nice neat straight cut without tearing any hair from the removed skull cap...
On occasion I would find a possum on the trail...head up, eyes open and appeared to be an alive possum...I would turn the possum over and he would have the neatest cut from his head down to his rectum with all the meat removed...I've skinned many coon, deer, rabbits etc and my knife and my hand work is not as neat as the cuts I mention above...
