You are either an evil man(lol) or a hell of a good poker player, either way you really shouldn't rely on someone who you don't trust to tell you the truth. Most police and District Attorneys don't rely on the suspect to make their case, and yes it does take time and resources, but in order to make your case, all those efforts you mentioned may need to be done.
Since it is very unlikely that he or anyone else will spend one day in court over this matter, Your only hope is to do exactly what?(other than know the truth)It's just very expensive in time and resources to possibly make these men folk heros. 20 years from now, if you succeed, the history books will read that JG, RP, BG and RD discovered an unknown bipedal humanoid and little will be said of the tragedy that took place. 50 years ago Mao slaughtered tens of millions of Chinese, now our modern day politicians are quoting him as a great political philosopher. To me and probably you he is just a murderer, but not to history.
Why is one of these men's 40 year old account of a day in their life any more reliable than any other. I really have reservations about a man who can remember his son hugging a dog in the seat of his car 40 years ago and say for an absolute certain that it was so and so's dog and make a testimony that is held in such high regard. Is this man not part of this "conspiracy"?
The value of what they possibly have discovered is still a sticking point with me, why not take some bones and say they were discovered hundreds of miles away. The discovery of bones that could verify their discovery would be worth millions, possibly.
Any thoughts on why JG or a dying Patterson or Gimlin wouldn't have gone back on this promise to keep a secret and made their lives so much more than internet fodder.
These are just a few questions I have and I don't really expect you to answer them, since any answers from you would only be conjecture.(that is unless you do know the answer and then I would be thrilled to hear it.)
