It would make sense that Monsters get disease and sick...

From my own experiences here with hopefully the last few days of a cold and doctoring my own dogs I could see that all wildlife is susceptible to some types of illness either temporary or permanent such as rabies, parvo, cancer etc...I'm sure wild animals if sick eat certain items that help recover or prevent sickness but everything has an illness at one time or another...on the other hand these same wild animals could eat infected road kill that could possibly transfer a disease to a male or female breast feeding young...
Could these creatures get sick or would their diet prevent sickness?...could they smell sickness on a road kill carcass?...
I do understand any answers are suggestions would be hypothetical so IMO...there are not any wrong answers...
