apparently they have some sort of baseline determined by a multitude of samples, thats the only way I could figure? I mean people have been pulling up "unknown" and "primate" dna for a while here in N America..its possible they've collected so much that they've been able to determine what isnt a bear or elk and human DNA is certainly easy enough to ID w/ the right equipment..I dont know..we'll see...
