I have a hard time with the tree moving itself since it moved so far (and upslope to boot), although I cannot rule out some weird oddball natural phenomena causing it to do just that. I also do not know why a BF or anything else would want or need to move the downed tree, but I don't know why they apparently make stick structures, shove trees upside down in the ground (though that is highly disputed, I think), etc. If a BF did it, then I could only guess there was something under the log it wanted, like mushrooms (which I found, albeit a different variety that I usually see) or some other edible thing, or that it was a sign of aggression (to another BF or me, lol). I'll look at the limbs that were holding the upper part of the tree up again and see what their placement and lengths were. I wish that I had a pic of it from when I saw it before, but I don't make a habit of randomly snapping pictures in the woods, lol.
