I had a contract with the Forest Service to refurbish the lines on the entire Chickisawhay Ranger District, which is about 135,000 acres. Way down one line my helper & I ran into 3/4 mile of nothing but submerged thickets that were the result of one beaver dam after another, which we attempted to use to cross and find some resemblance of red paint. The water was mostly frozen, but I was able to find shallow places to walk in for the most part. Unlike me, my partner was not wearing waterproof boots. I found the corner in deep water, at about 3:30 pm. The way we had come was so bad to us that we decided to attempt to walk 4 miles around through the woods to avoid crossing it again, knowing we might get caught in the dark. Like you Don, it's one of those places I don't want to go back to on purpose, lol
