I'm sorry but I just have to vent this out a little but the big oil companies are KILLING the American economy and here is how.
First it started back in the 70's with the "Energy Crisis", and then it started with the big oil companies jacking up the price of diesel, (Which is supposed to be the by product of making gasoline) in other words, diesel is the junk that's left over!
With all the wells going up I cannot believe that it costs nearly $3.50 a gallon for gasoline too but here is how it breaks down!
EVERYTHING that you buy has to be shipped either by car or truck or railcar or airplane and also services that require transportation of any kind are affected, when the price of petroleum goes up then the shippers have to adjust their prices to compensate and maintain a profit margin!
EVERY TIME the price of gas or diesel goes up the cost of services goes up and the cost of goods shipped to the grocery store goes up the prices of goods of all kinds shipped to walmart or dollar tree or HEB or Kroger or whereever goes up because they have to make a profit.
So as long as we are a country based on petroleum (Which we are) then prepare yourself because it's just gonna get worse and worse unless the government steps in and makes them put a cap on oil prices or we actively pursue other sources of energy (Which the big oil companies will not sit still for because it gets into their profits) like hydrogen or electric vehicles or something.
Having the big oil companies in control of out ecenomy is like having a raving lunatic behind the wheel of your boat, he's headed straight for the reef and you can't do a thing about it!
