After you guys quit laughing and snickering, may I be the latest in a long line of people to request the possibility of harvesting a specimen the way they do it with most wild animals destined for zoos and animal parks. I'm really trying to be serious and probably don't fully understand the logistics and ramifications of this option. I put forth this idea again only as an impetus for discussion. Since the deadly harvest of these creatures could cause potential harm to the ladies living on the property,and since so many individuals are in this small geographical area, the possible harvesting and "relocation" of these animals away from the property could be a possible answer. Please think about the possible solutions for being able to get a specimen for research without killing something that is as close to human as anything I've read about. I say that only due to the reports of thought and reasoning attributed to this creature that doesn't manifest itself even in the great apes or advanced marine mammals. Obviously, capture, containment, and transport of the creatures to a facility will all need to be considered. The health and welfare of a live specimen is far different than dealing with a carcass and that alone could be a determining factor in whether this is viable. Regardless, I would like to put those noodles to work throwing out ideas on how this could be accomplished.
