In person, with voice inflections and facial expressions I think anything you have said would be fine and dandy. Because I have in fact met you, (And while I have not seen you in heels, I have heard about it...LOL) I don't think you mean to come across that way.
However - typing the same thing you would say in person, loses all of that human touch, voice inflection and facial expressions, and might appear or read as you being a smarty pants.
When typing, is is easy for for intent to get lost. And I have done this myself a million times, and wind up apologizing..... What I have typed comes across as snarky when that was the farthest thing from my intent. And when typing I never realize that is how it will be taken.
It is a fine and difficult line that gets crossed easily in the Internet world my friend..I read stuff that I have typed that people have taken wrong...and I can't see what ticked them off. To me it looks fine and reasoned. To them I look like a smarty pants jerk.
So I apologize and try hard not to do it again.
But every now and then I hook up with my old buddy, Jack Daniels. .......and I seem to ooze snarky...LOL
