The byproduct of burning hydrogen is water vapor! It's clean burning and the most abundant fuel in the universe, the sun has been burning it for billions of years and showing no signs of slowing down. I think what would be ideal is either hydrogen burning vehicles or electric ones that have a hydrogen burning generator (Kind of like a "Hybrid" but a whole lot greener).
