They can indeed see thr IR emitters! I arrived at that conclusion on the basis of the fact that when the thing came around, it looked straight at and stayed partially hidden from the camera! I actually already knew this but this vid just set that fact in concrete for me. Just more evidence to me that thermal is the way to go.
