Respond to this message Return to Index Original Message Expedition into Bluff Creek M.K.Davis Posted Jun 25, 2012 5:39 PM Myself, Ken Iddings, and Don Monroe recently completed an expediton into the Bluff Creek area, particularly the Patterson film site. Don was not able to make the hike in as he had a recluse spider bite on his ankle that was too bad for him to participate. Ken Iddings from Alaska, and me hiked the entire way in due to locked gates on the road entering the area. On the way in, I was walking and looking down when I heard some breathing ahead of me. It was a bear at very close range. I yelled "bear" and he looked up at me for a second and then leaped off the road and down the hill.
