Yep, that was a rerun but I watched it again anyway and...

by

the gal that was knowledgeable about orangutans was shown speaking about the Myakka Skunkape picture that everyone wants to say is faked...and she thought it was faked too but the way I see it is that the picture looks like a real flesh and blood animal. She on the other hand is used to dealing with orangutans that are the real deal...the creature in the picture looks similar to one but one that grew a bit differently...so the creature is out of her standards for a normal orangutan and she can only say it's not real because it's out of the normal for her therefore it's not real. Just my thoughts on the matter if you know what I'm trying to say.
I have seen many reports dealing with sightings of a tall orangutan-looking creature with reddish hair in several of our southern states so who's to say that we don't have one too?
They had Dan Jackson skunkape account in the show too...I still think he could have hid somewhere else while waiting for old Stinky to show at the dumpster to drink his spiked juice that he left him. And it showed him firing at him with a handgun...he had already seen one of the critters when he was younger so he should have known if he had to use the gun on him in case of self defense it wouldn't take him down but just make him very angry instead. It's too bad he didn't do his stake-out from a safe distance and let Mr. Stinky drink the spiked juice...he may have made history by bringing in a live specimen. LOL.happy.gif
But I couldn't help noticing that when it comes to the southern Bigfoot... old Dr.Meldrum wasn't in this show.

Good video

by deer slayer

I really don't know what to think of this. It looks really real. But in Russia, they call them Amasti. It's a good video though in my own opinion. But then again, it would be very easy to fake this , too. I read a few days ago that the Russians did create an institute to study these sightings.
It's a shame that we can not get better pictures. But then again, I've been trying to get good pictures of deer, whith a camera and not with a game cam. And I can tell you all first hand that's it's much easier to kill a deer than get a good shot with a camera. I am one that does not kill ANYTHING that does not pose a threat or I dont eat, but I do realize that we may need to get a body.

.02 cents

by MikeInNC

Pluses:

-shape of body
-color
-gait
-length of arms
-definition/curvature at calves (not boxy suit)
"the peek" from behind trees.

Minuses:

-Quality of video (the closer the BF encounters, the fuzzier/more pixilated the subject becomes - go figure!).

-why hide from humans, peeking around trees and seeing the humans, and then make a mad dash in the clear sight of humans? Why not just wait humans out, or retreat (180) from humans and then go where you want to go? Seems like an obvious ploy to get something on a (conveniently) low-res camera.

-big arm swing (sorry, when I see that all I can think of is all the hoaxers - or parody/humor vids - imitating Patty)

-sudden cutoff of video which seems to happen in most vids which show promise (as if someone is posting the best parts before the vid began to look fake).

I agree. If it's a hoax, it's the best I've seen (see pluses list).

I won't lean towards real, however, because some of the minuses make it seem less than 100% plausible.

Side note: As more and more people learn about BF history/anatomy/behavior/etc., it's easier for dedicated "artists" to fake a filmed encounter. It's a downside of modern technology and info-sharing.

Short of a body, any video is going to HAVE to be up-close and clear (though not necessarily very long), with LOTS of detail which can clearly debunk any charge of a hoax.

But you already know that happy.gif

Okay

by Grumpy

Over the years I've just learned to trust my first impressions and instincts and this video didn't spark either, kinda like when you interview someone or they show you something "Guaranteed" monster made and your experience says Man Made........ and especially today with digital video and photographs.... I've taken photographs from monster central that I know are clear and free of critters and if enlarged enough you can make out monster faces and bodies everywhere so now I just trust my gut feeling, unless it's from someone I know and trust. I've tried and can't duplicate these completely out of focus and blurry videos which IMO indicates suspicion, I'm not saying all of these fall under this category but without other documented evidence; tracks, continued presence within area, more than one isolated sighting, or when presented by someone we/I know and trust I'd rather spend my time viewing/discussing more likely possibilities.

Some things I do while looking at photos...

by Monster Hunter

I spend my time looking for figures and not pieces of an object...as Grumpy mentioned...you can take a picture, magnify and find all sorts of anomalies...if I can see it without magnification then when magnified it will usually tell you what you are seeing...it does help to know an area but comparison pictures are valuable when attempting to verify an object...

To be honest I think most are picture blind...everyone can see the elephant but many over look significant details in pictures...after taking pictures or game cam photos I go back and look at each one several times looking for items over looked previously..if I do find something I go back to the area and take pictures for comparison...debris, trees and stumps do not move so they're there when you go back...

As far as the video...if you are not interested in this Monster and are surprised with a sighting I doubt seriously that person(s) would go look for tracks...if you have one on video the track line is unimportant at that moment...may go back the next day and look but the average joe is thinking getting the hexx out of the area...

We more then likely will never know if the video is a hoax or the real deal...to many hoaxes have made most of us skeptical of any videos and pictures not taken by someone you know and trust...

Do you get a bad feeling?

by Deerslayer

Do do get a bad feeling? Like you aren't supposed to be where you are? I've had that before. It's a feeling of dread that I can't explain. I had that in Big South Fork many years back before I even thought of bigfoot. It was overwhelming then. I've had it to a lesser extent since. But since, I'm usually armed, I simply do my business and exit the area when I feel that way.

"He always follows the creeks" Ok,,,why?

by SAsquatcher

The above is a quote from "The legend of Boggy Creek" and it brings out a good point.
Most of the sightings occur near either large bodies of water or running estuaries and or tributaries such as creeks, rivers, streams, etc.
Lets take a look at this and try and understand what these places offer.
1, water,,,obviously,,LOL.
2, food, Possible food sources might include such things as fresh water clams, crayfish, fish, various insects, and we have recently discussed the possibility that they may even eat some snakes.
Of course during the warmer months when the vegetation takes off there is fruit such as blackberries, blueberries and numerous other fruit bearing trees and plants.
3, Cover, a lot of these areas grow thick with brier thickets and dense brush where an animal who can go either bipedal or quadrupedal can watch and have several avenues to use as escape routes.

Also included under food is a hunting range, they can hunt various animals that come to these water sources and use the thicker foliage to their advantage as these animals love using the stealth approach.

These are all just my theories of course and open to rebuttal or to be added to, I am no expert and do not wish to sound like I think that I am one, however, this is just common sense stuff that fits what these creatures have been seen doing.

A few more points Rick,

by Lone Wolf

walking IN the creek, leaves no tracks, the sound of running water masks noise, and large undercuts would provide an impromptu place to duck into in an emergency, and there have been reports around islands in Canada and Alaska that they are excellent swimmers.

Some Thoughts, Rick, you know I don't get many.

by Dewey the Boggy Creek expert

1. Could be cooler in the Summer. (Temperatures)
2. Sometimes easier, if not, quieter traveling.
3. Water & Food sources, like you said. (Groceries)
4. Able to travel between food sources unseen. yeah, like there easy to see now. LOL
5. Like you said Rick, good place to just lay up and watch the crazy people. Like when I get too close and they disappear over the Hill or thru a bottom, before I even know there any where around me. LOL

Probably not any "ONE" Reason they use the Creeks and other bodies of water, But these ought to be good for a discussion anyway.
Ya'll already know, I know all the reasons they use water, Because I'm so knowkedgeable about these critters, But, I want to give the folks that don't know everything a chance to share their thoughts.

Ya'll don't be hating, I'm just havin' some fun.
Remember, I love ya'

I know that Jim's monsters are stubborn as he** because we have thrown everything at them INCLUDING the kitchen sink and they are still in there!

by DonDon

I've always been of that train of thought myself and have taken maps and plotted reports turned in as well as ones that are word of mouth to see how they fit into that theory. Turns out you'll have certain streams and small rivers that really have alot of activity on them. There's a set in Southeast central Mississippi thats just flat loaded. Not only the main River but moreso 3 smaller tributarys that are just flat out ate up with reports over the years

Up here...

by Terry

I can't think of any animal that sticks to water systems all year round except for marine animals like beaver, otter and muskrats, etc. It's a seasonal thing with the rest. Even moose move out of aquatic areas in the fall when the aquatic plants begin to die and they move into the forested areas to browse. We hunt moose in the bush where I go, not in the marshes. Your bf would have to drink of course but I wouldn't think one could say they hang around water courses throughout the entire year. That's only my opinion though and I don't know how your seasons affect wildlife in the South?

In regards to fishing, and I had this discussion with Timberghost years ago, I still maintain fish would be too difficult for a bf animal to catch by hand. Yeah I know you folks can grab catfish under banks but not every water system has catfish. Try catching fish without a net or rod...pretty tough. Bears usually only catch fish during spawning runs, at least up here. To make it worth the energy and time required, imho, fishing would only be worthwhile for bf if fish were spawning. Then again, maybe that's why there aren't any bf in Ontario. Too tough to make a living.

Funny you mention catching fish T...

by Monster Hunter

Saturday a week ago in an area of activity Jake found a small pile of fish scales along with chicken feathers behind a pond in a pine thicket...hard to scale fish and pluck a chicken without fingers...I also found where a guinea was plucked...not skinned or feathers yanked out by teeth...plucked...

Jake didn't mention finding any fishing gear and we do suspect the Monsters are using the area to sometimes bed up in...BTW...the folks that live in this area reported not seeing any snakes the last few years telling me moccasins and copper heads were always something they had to be careful of when outside...

Something else I find kind of interesting...several weeks to a month back I was walking around this pond searching for sign...not one track of any animal but I did find a small craw-fish about 40 yards from the pond...no big deal but Saturday Jake and I are several hundred yards from this same pond looking for sign when we did see a couple of Monster looking impressions...beside one of these impressions was a small craw-fish...not really unusual to find a craw-fish anywhere down here but it is unusual to find Monster tracks/impressions and a craw-fish...

BTW...We think this could be the same track/impression we have seen and photographed a number of times...

Since you mentioned snakes again.......

by MikeInNC

Have you ever smelled a dead snake? When I was just a kid, a neighbor killed a huge rattlesnake and brought it home to show off. The thing stank to high-heaven!

Now, is it possible that - following the "you are what you eat" theory, that stinky snakes = stinky monsters?

Ever eat spicy food or food with too much garlic and spend a day or two sweatin' garlic out your pores (or ummmm......getting out of your system via #1

I wonder if there's any cause-and-effect? Maybe a stressed monster is breakin' a sweat/causing itself to sweat/do a #1..... and stink-bombing an area with unwanted humans?

Just a random musing.....

BLOODY SKIN

by TINA STONE

To Monster Hunter
You are absolutely right. They have been covering this up for decades but
you cannot dispute what is on the film you can clearing see the facial skin of one of these creatures very clearly everything shows up like I said the eyes ears nose it's like a mask. But we know that it is one of the creatures.
Why go to all the trouble to find them if you were not going to make it public and let the world know what you found. The big tree companies are in on it too. I have wondered on the show The Axemen if they have ever had any thing strange happen out there I believe they have they are in the middle of no where but I think that they cant talk about it. There is alot we dont know
but I have believed in bf since I was a little girl and my mom told me a story that when she was little living in Chatham County NC that this huge hairy man came to there door this was back in the early 40's she said she was scared to death had never seen anyone covered in hair all over their body
her mom scared him away so I truly in my heart know they are here.

I think we'll never know the truth Tina...

by Monster Hunter

As long as there are folks who hold Green and Gimlin as some types of heros...why?...no idea because neither have done anything significant other then Bluff Creek...Green was a recorder of sightings...Gimlin, in his own words, furnished transportation for the horses and Patterson...Gimlin also said he didn't touch the camera...where did the pictures of Patterson come from?...

Gimlin has changed his story more times then a babies shxxx diaper but yet people still believe him...and I find that unbelievable...I have come to realize this Bluff Creek mess is unsolvable due to lack of truthfulness from the participants regardless of film evidence...

I've moved on and have other projects I'd rather spend my time on...

Tina,

I spent some time working in Washington State and asked one of the stars from the Axemen show about BF.
He stated that every crew has stories of sightings, but if you talk about BF in the timber industry, you will NEVER work again. PERIOD

It'd be nice......

by MikeInNC

......if some retired timber people (with sightings) got together to hold a press conference and flatly state that they've seen BF and that some areas should be protected.

If they were to decline any money for interviews that would help.

Of course, they would be doing this because they would want to protect something they saw with their own eyes.

It'd be nice if current industry guys could take pics - if they're seeing BFs often enough.

Suddenly I wonder how often BF comes up in meetings with LEOs, local elected officials, D.C. officials, etc. in order to hide/eliminate the species in exchange for political $$$$$$.

Am still wondering about that thread here at GCBRO a year or three ago where a "deer" was body-bagged and removed from near a bridge. How many people know but are sworn to secrecy (or just frightened too much by their own govt) and won't say anything.

Timber Industry

by Tina

I know there are people that have worked in timber that have had some kind of sighting or something happen while they were there. I dont believe for a minute that you can work in the woods for decades there and not have some kind of experience. I do think the big companies do have some kind of policy that if you talk about what you see you are gone. There are too many people all over the country who have had an encounter they all cant be crazy.I work in the auto industry and was talking to a sheriff yesterday he doesnt believe that they exist the people I work with think I am crazy because I am always searching for more info on them, they are out there-they are just too smart to be caught.I think they are way smarter than us humans but one day it will be proven that they and other things besides us are here.

To start a collection, I know from the photos that you happen upon tracks and impressions pretty regularly (That is because unlike some folks you actually get out and hit the woods regularly), so maybe you can get a little collection going.

I would personally love to see more 3 toed tracks cast just to shut up the nay sayers regarding the 3 toed animals.
In fact I hope the first animal shot is a 4 toed one, that would just upset everybodies apple cart,,LOL.

Meldrum needs to take into consideration,,,

by SAsquatcher

Inbreeding within a pocket group of these animals can cause a multitude of anomilies.
1, Mongoloidism
2, Hemophelia
3, missing or extra or deformed digits
Just to name a few.
You make the science fit the facts and not the other way around.
Fact 1, there is as long of a history of 3 toed animals as 5 toed, in fact there have been quite a few 4 and 6 toed reports too!
Fact 2, many people have reported animals that had a mongoloid appearance as well.

He needs to set out to either debunk or substantiate these claims and not put out his "Opinion" as gospel!

Youtube video of the bloody skin by MK Davis

by TINA STONE

I hve been going back thru message board and came across the link that MK put
up you can see that it was skinned from head to toe and I can make out a face eyes, nose, ears. Those SOBS need to be skinned alive and let them see how they like it. There is no doubt what they did and it will come to light one day. It makes me sick to my stomach to know that Patty and her kin suffered the way they did and for no good reason. There is no way they did not do anything but come upon these creatures they had it all planned and we will find this out I would like to have a few hours alone with the ones who are left. What they did was wrong and they have been covering it up for decades.MK keep up the good work and expose them for what they are.

People would rather believe individuals over film evidence...Green has Munns in his back pocket...Munns hasn't mentioned once about the red hole nor the bloody dog track....he claims one of the two creatures in the film is a shadow...he claims he has gone through the entire "original" film he borrowed from Ms. Patterson...the original film has been missing for years...that should tell you something about Munns...

I do think Munns is attempting to get on and be accepted by the BF conference circle that for some reason think these folks are Icons within this community...someone please explain what Green or Gimlin have done that has provided any type of unquestionable evidence?...simple answer...not any...

Both Green and Gimlin refuse any serious questions regarding the evidence and if and when they do their excuse is lack of memory...

Just heard the witness on local talk radio - details

by MikeInNC

The guy taking the video was on 1110WBT talking to the a.m. talk radio host.

The individual stated:

-He and his lady friend were videotaping a local brush/wildfire as well as wildlife which was flushed by the fire.

-They saw this thing approach so he videotaped it.

-He could tell it was male from it's "appendage".

-He could see the crack of BF's butt.

-It had a terrible odor.

-It emmitted a "snarl" as if to say, "back off" and he noted the arm wave.

-He tried to follow it for more video, but it was too dark in the woods as it was near dark.

-He said it tore up the hill, through the woods, "like a deer".

It was discussed that the video was posted on the site-which-shall-not-be-named, and those people say it was fake.

The talkshow guy (as I type this) is calling it a total fake - likening it to a goof on Hee-Haw.

I'd like to know how he made out the sex of the creature in such low light, with the creature being so furry.

I'd like to know how a creature that takes about 15 steps to cross an open road could then run "like a deer" through the woods.

The lower leg is so boxy it's obviously a suit.

Fake, fake, fake.

Absolutely. Bigfoot aren't shaped or proportioned like that. I agree that its a poor representation. The tracks are most likely from the cameraman's own feet. Dang! and I thought this would be good.wink.gif

Property taxes.......

by MikeInNC

Property taxes are just proof that, even as an "owner", you're just a "renter" after all.

Don't pay your property taxes (rent), and the government (landlord) gives you the boot (and/or moves you into their "rent controlled" facility complete with 3 hots and a cot).

How ironic is THAT???

I wish our Founding Fathers could have foreseen this and banned property taxes (Fed and State).

A story about (possibly) some of my kinfolks

by Dewey the Deer Draggin' expert

Two hunters were dragging their dead deer back to their car. Another hunter approached pulling his along too.

"Hey, I don't want to tell you how to do something ... but I can tell you that it's much easier if you drag the deer in the other direction. Then the antlers won't dig into the ground."

After the third hunter left, the two decided to try it.

A little while later one hunter said to the other, "You know, that guy was right. This is a lot easier!"

"Yeah, but we're getting farther away from the truck," the other added.

Thanks to everyone

by Deerslayer

MH,

I kinda thought these prints were fake as well from what I got to see. And it sure fooled the guy who sent them to me as well.To be fair to him. None of us had the opportunity to actually see them with our own eyes. This was sandy soil, like most of the Cumberland Plateau. It takes a lot of weight to go that deep, especially on a ridge. And the ground was first disturbed by a dozer (most likely a D6). And to my recollection, this past June was a bit dry. Which could account for the shallow indentations. On the other hand, the toes in the "perfect" prints just looked wrong to me as well. But then again some one like him, or me for that matter, will only take pictures of the good stuff.
AS for me, I do tend to agree that these prints are indeed most likely a fake by some very imaginative kids that I was once was. But, I still have an ounce of doubt too as I didnt actually see them myself. My doubt is probably 80% fake, 20% maybe. The 20% owing to what happened to a subcontractor, who had a similar experience that I had in the 1980's , but neither of us saw anything.
Thanks to all who commented. I really appreciate your input. And if I gather anything at all worth posting, this will be where it goes. I have the highest regards for everyone who shares my interest here, especially MH, Lone Wolf , and Ruby.

Thank You Deerslayer,

by Lone Wolf

much respect for your comments and thank you for posting the pics.
I admittedly have little "field experience" due to my location in Southern California.
I have researched a few areas in Kern County that has a long history of sightings.
Sometimes things you see in the outdoors can really fool you. I once sat for 20 minutes in my truck looking at what I thought was a BF down on one knee. I took a photo of it with a zoom lens and it looked so real to me I almost took a shot at it to see if it would move with a .44 revolver.... The result, a shadow that fooled me completely.
I also once stared at a print going uphill in soft dirt for 15 minutes till I figured out it was a bear print within another bear print.
My point is, I love to look at all evidence here, and there are many here more qualified than me to evaluate.
I hope that anyone with alleged evidence continue to post here for honest evaluation.
You have a great attitude Deerslayer and I'm happy to contribute!

And personally, they should leave all of the live events to "Ghost Hunters" They are much better at it because they select areas to research that would take 4-7 hours to do thoroughly. Sorry, but how many times does one need to investigate a garden? I was bored within the first hour. IF they had shortened it to 2 hours and gotten rid of the girl who served as their "hostess" it might have been better. I DVRed it for later (where I could speed through the ads) but erased it before I finished looking through it.

NOT IMPRESSED...Although my friend Barry had a birthday on air!

Time to look at some pictures of suspected tracks...

by Monster Hunter

Deerslayer wrote:

I post under the name "Deerslayer", and last time I posted here a week or two ago I promised some pictures. So, here they are. I don't know what to think of them. So I'm offering them up to this board for opinion.
They were taken in the 80,000 acre Catoosa Wildlife Management Area, in Cumberland County, Tennessee by a job foreman with a road construction company. The prints were found in an area that was being seeded last summer. He told me that he had no idea who or what made these prints and he could even see where it had come through the woods before entering the clearing. He also informed me that a person he knew had left the area one afternoon after hearing "strange noises" like limbs breaking and such.
I am eager to hear what you all have to say about this.

Look the below over and give us an honest opinion...

Not fair for me to respond, but.......

by MikeInNC

It's not fair for me respond because I'm "arm chair" and haven't seen enough prints up-close-and-personal to make an educated opinion.......

BUT, it's the internet, so here goes happy.gif

It'd be helpful to know what the distance between tracks is to see if it would match a human stride (meaning: are the close enough for a human to fake, or too far apart for someone to successfully pull it off?).

The "good print" looks kind of "perfect" and uniformly straight along the edges. The toes seems itty-bitty to me.....and too perfectly straight across.

Then, the last pic shoes a more V-shaped print. More than one creature? Angle of camera? Is the left foot different from the right foot for some reason?

The best print is shown 3 times. The rest are ignored except for the V-shape print. It'd be good to see pics of other prints for comparison.....

They look "fakey" to me. But again, that's just an arm chair perspective.

According to the man who sent them to me, the spacing was around 6 feet apart. and there was only one individual.

6 feet apart........etc.

by MikeInNC

That WOULD be tough to fake.

Of course, one could just walk along and press a mould into the ground as they move along a surface (saying later that they walked along the tracks before coming back with a camera).

I don't know the person who took the pics. Does he have a warped sense of humor? Do his friends/co-workers enjoy a good prank? Not knowing anyone involved, I can only look at the pics again.......

The "good print" is deep - as if something heavy made the print, which is a promising sign.......but the "V-shaped print" seems shallow. The ground seems tilled and there could be changes in the earth's consistency here and there from moisture, or large, hard masses of earth - which could account for variations in depth.

So, some prints could be deep and others shallow.

I'd really need to a few more pictures (presumably there were more prints as something/someone walked across that field). I'm really interested in the "V" print and would want to see more of those.

At face value, 6 foot distance between prints makes the story seem plausible..... but I'm still conflicted seeing a "perfect" print" and the "V" print.

The "V" is either a deformed foot......or a bad fake.

I'm still leaning "fakey" - without judging anyone involved with the photos.

Due to other reasons mentioned.....The circumstances surrounding the tracks are interesting.......Why fake the tracks out in the middle of nowhere........ Unless you are aware that somebody will find them..... Which is the bigger question to me..... The ground was freshly tilled for seed planting..... Unless the monster was drunk and blind why walk across a muddy freshly plowed piece of earth when you could walk around it...... We suspect they have enough intelligence to "try" to stay undetected...... ? You got what you paid for my opinion........ happy.gif Thanks for sharing........

Looks like the print had some weight behind it

by

did the human footprint sink as deep as the bigfoot print? The print looks to me like it has a very slight rise in the foot(the fifth picture). The print seems to have a sunken area up front in the middle of the foot that gives a "V" or a "Y" look. The last picture shows what looks like the mucky dirt could have possibly stuck to the bottom of it's foot or the foot is raised in that area and doesn't leave a smooth print there but a roughed-up area like the surrounding ground on the outside of the print...if you get what I'm trying to say. Just my armchair opinion.happy.gif
Those are some WIDE feet too.

All the way from my recliner...

by Geronimo

It looks like a wooden foot was used to make impressions in the mud. You can see in one of the pictures that the edges of the footprint are deeper than the middle of the footprint. The middle of the footprint is flat and it looks like the "foot" was rolled from side to side to make it deeper. I really don't see a metatarsal break in any of the "footprints" specially since they are in the mud. There are no signs of forward locomotion in the mud. It doesn't look like the heel was planted and pushed off with the toes. The toes are not proportional the the size of foot. The depth of the impressions are not proportional to the possible weight of the critter. But then again, it's hard to tell from all the way over here.

Is it April 1st already?

by Lone Wolf

FAKE

Print is way too flat, not enough mud squish between the toes for a heavy animal, toes are way too small in proportion to a BF track. Also the toes are too straight across the foot.
Outside radius of track is exactly the same, which is what I would expect from a mold or wood "foot".

Track depth is not consistent seeing as it looks to be a muddy loose area. (This could be explained by a pronounced limp though)

With the surrounding brush why would a creature expose itself in the middle of a field?

Biscardi may want to do a press conference on this one.........

the prints

by Deerslayer

Let me first start off by saying that these prints we sent to me. I did not personally see them. I DO know that they were sent to me in good faith by the job foreman. He even distanced himself by stating that he did not "know who or what made them", but he's really puzzled by them. I also question them, as the toes look "funny" to me. Since I've never seen a bigfoot tract, I honestly don't know. That's why I sent them here.
These prints were taken in a wildlife management area that is 80,000 acres. They were deep in the area and the roads were closed. That doesn't mean that some employee or local decided to make the tracks. But keep in mind, the stride was SIX feet across. I can't do that. The area in question was a site where a bridge was built on one of the access roads and the roads were blocked 3 miles out. The area that they were seeding was relatively small as it was in a heavily forested region.
BTW, I talked to the guy again yeatsrday, and he said something scared the hell out of one of their subcontractors last summer.
Anyway, I myself am not conviced either way. That's why I sent the pics to you guys. As for myself, I think I'll go with whatever Monster Hunter has to say. I respect you guys alot, especially MH.

Flat Feet?

by chattahoocheebigfoot

The print depictions could very well be geniune. From experience, not all bigfoot have and "arch" as we do. Especially when the creature is "very" heavy. The photos could very well indicate that the poor soul is severely flat-footed. As for the toes being almost perfectly aligned, this is not uncommon.

With the spacing being 6'-o", this homin would have to be in excess of eight foot or greater. It is very difficult for a perpetrator to leap this distance-man or woman much less a child.

I am curious; did at some point in the field the tracks simply stop?

simple test take your shoe off and walk in the mud will not look anything like this. Also when you are on vacation at the beach check out your prints they do not and will not look like a complete foot unless you stand there press your foot straight down and pull straight back up only way to do in unless..... you have a nice plywood cutout of a foot.

Not all surfaces

by Crispy

Leave the same type of impressions. That last photo the toes aren't so perfect. There is also another track (boot print?) off to the side that looks mighty perfect.

Being muddy when the tracks were made is an assumption. Lots of soft dirt and clay in TN. I have seen strides like that before, and it would be incredibly difficult to fake. Not impossible, but damn hard.

I know the general area Deerslayer says these are from. Pretty out of the way place if you want to create a BF stir.

Not saying they are real - just saying one pristine looking track does not a fake make.....

Fake or the real deal...MO...

by Monster Hunter

Out the way place but men working in the area...this would be an ideal place to fake or hoax tracks...why would a Monster take this path instead of walking the tree line?...your guess would be as good as mine but in all my years I haven't ever found tracks in a disked or raked area...not one and I've looked many days and have disked and raked many areas where I knew there were Monsters...

6 ft stride...the Monster would have to be a minimum of 12 ft tall by my simple calulations...the foot would be in excess of 24 inches...by pictures the track appears to be 16 to 18 inches...simple math but hardly accurate...if the track is 16 inches the normal gait would be around 3 ft... + or -...the Monster would be around 8 ft tall...+ or -... the plus and minus would be inches not feet...

If the Monster, by taking long strides, was running, trotting or in a quick walk we would see the strike of the heel and toe push...what we see are flat tracks...Monsters don't walk around stomping their feet...they walk heel to toe when bipedal...

What is interesting...how did a hoaxer make six ft strides?...could the average person jump six feet with a piece of plywood on their feet?...maybe with some help...Wallace mastered this by being pulled by a pickup...here...maybe a four wheeler and a long rope...

The tracks are to symmetrical...the toes are small and unique in appearance...track impressions are completely flat...there is not any soil disturbance of heel or toe strikes...if I'm seeing the right left foot walk in the below photo there is a telling sign it's not Monster...Monsters step directly in front of their last step...the below impressions look offset...

IMO and without being able to look the tracks over closely...3/4 inch plywood...I do think the man was hoaxed...But I have been wrong on many occasions concerning Monsters...believe me when I say they are weird creatures...

Pictures show...

by Monster Hunter

That their legs appear to be normal compared to approximate height and for the body they support...for an eight foot tall Monster to leave over a five ft track IMO means he was getting out of dodge...but by tracks and this is also MO...the track line has one step in front of another which indicates these Monsters take a longer stride then humans...but it would also mean by taking this longer stride there would be soil disturbance and not a pristine track...

The track line is interesting and I do appreciate Deerslayer sharing but they definitely look hoaxed...IMO...

I'll say this again...something I have personally learned by being in the field...these are some strange weird Monsters...I'm hardly surprised anymore...unless of course I saw one driving a flying saucer...

Six foot stride - Simple explanation

With all of the evidence of plows and machinery, my guess is a hoaxer walking along with a wooden foot on a stick!
One for left one for right.
Lay down the phony track line, then go back with a hoe or a simple scraper to remove the parallel human prints.

Very easy to do...........

Either this is another reckless comment by another government official (and there have been plenty the last few years) - or they know something.

seem to be working the doors on the low end. I would think a dog would push through the screen rather then to deconstruct the frame work. When I was a young lad I believe a bf came into our house twice. One time in the basement, entry was through the basement storm/screen door and they used the handle. Now I cant say it was 100 percent but with all that was going on back then it's good odds, the second time they stole my 17 inch rainbow trout right off broiler pan on the kitchen counter with me 12 feet away in the living room. The pan wasn't moved an inch, no noise and not even a three minute widow of opportunity. I will post these and other things that brought me into the realm of belief very soon. I am going to talk to my family and have them post their stories also. Sorry for rambling.

Thinking it had to be his mother or mine calling out for me we ran back to his house. His mother was inside and didn't call for me. lots of srage things of this sort as well as the, lets visit Kendal at his tent and the old, peek a boo at the window next to my head. You know back then it was ever what I first thought it was. BF wasn't in our heads back then, so you always thought bear at worst. Man I tell you, when I was a kid I would have much rather it been a bear, wraping your mind around a larg hairy biped taking intrest in you was horrifying enough, let alone at night.

Like Super Grover

by Geronimo

I used my "Powers of Observation". Sorry, I watch Sesame Street with my daughter. Something else I can tell you from investigating burglaries is that you won't be able to lift any fingerprints from that door. As you can see from the second picture the door has a rough surface which is very difficult to leave prints on. Usually when tools are used to pry these doors open you can see a crease mark on the laminate material of the door or the hinge.

So, in conclusion it is my professional opinion (from several hundred miles away and without having seen the actual door in person) that either the door was closed with an object caught in between the door and the frame causing the inside corner to be pushed out OR it was pried out from the outside. But then again I may have to watch more episodes of Super Grover....

Off Topic......End Times?

by Lone Wolf

Not BF related but interesting food for thought nonetheless.....

Christian Bible, Koran, Hopi Indians, Ancient Chinese, Mayans, Nostradamus.

What do they ALL have in common? Their predictions for the end of the world are eerily similar.

Earthquakes: Chile, New Zealand, Japan.

Floods, Tsunamis: Indonesia, Japan, West Coast of U.S.

Wars and rumors of wars: Unrest all through the Middle East

Rising waters, Sea Levels.

Animal Fish Die offs: Bird deaths, Fish deaths. Near my hometown Redondo Beach's King Harbor was inundated with TONS of dead sardines, the water was two feet thick with them. Clean up is still going on with no definitive explanation as to why they died.

So what say you paranormal enthusiasts? Are these world events significant as to the short time civilization as we know it will remain? Or do you think this is all coincidental?

I'm looking forward to your comments and opinions.

Doomsdayers...

While reading I saw this...I'm not making lite of anything that can cause a possible catastrophic event(s) but it does relate to some...remember Haley's comet and the folks who thought???...

"A lot of people just like to have the doomsday idea, 'I'm not going to pay my credit card bill, who cares, the world's going to end,'" La Conte said. "I can pretty much assure you that your January 2013 credit card bill is going to be coming, even after the winter solstice of 2012."

This is exactly how I feel...if it happens it happens there is nothing I can do to prevent any cataclysmic disaster so I'm going to carry on doing exactly like I always have...BTW...how would you be able to prepare yourself if this did happen?...don't worry...be happy...

Yes, that's true, Rick!

by Rubyred

Only God knows the hour but this is also true--the world will NOT be destroyed. It may not be a very comfortable place to live for awhile but it will continue rotating. Finish reading the Book of Revelation and you will discover it clearly states that Jesus is coming to Earth to gather his people in something called the rapture or the snatching-up. We disappear for 7 years, then Jesus returns to Earth where He will rule for a 1000 years. Following the Millennium Kingdom, Jesus will fight and win the battle of Armegeddon and then rule Earth from Jerusalem forever.

However, Jesus said that WE WOULD KNOW THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES. Everything listed by Lone Wolf, is in my opinion, escalating at an alarming rate--the signs of the times are visible and for the first time ever, ALL of them are occuring. Besides earthquakes, volcanoes erupting, tsnamis, wars and national unrest, birds dying, fish dying, signs in the heavens and the increase in paranormal activity you should also add Israel becoming a nation (1948), Israel gaining control of Jerusalem (1967)and the push toward a one world government & religion (globalism).

In my opinion, Jesus has his hand on the door...he's waiting for a signal from His Father that he should open that door and gather up believers. THIS does NOT mean that we don't get up every day, go to work, pay our bills and live our lives to the fullest. IT does SAY, believers should be prepared--"look up for your salvation drawth nigh" as the Bible promises. I can only say what I feel in my human spirit--the time for His first appearing, which will be like a thief in the night, is drawing nigh. I am very encouraged by events because the God I worship keeps his promises!!!

Hear ends the Sunday School lesson!

Jetstream

Goes East from Asia straight into the western US. There seems to be a lot of conflicting news about the meltdowns, but it doesn't look very promising.

The pointy heads say this quake moved the country of Japan 8 feet, and changed the Earth's axis by 10 inches. Very impressive!

There is also a volcano erupting there, just to make things a little worse.

While they say there is no danger from leaking radiation, they have evacuated a 50 mile radius around them nuke plants. I believe a 5th reactor is now in partial melt down. News sources say they are pouring sea water into them to try to cool the cores. Our scientists say that is a last ditch effort of desperation. That does not sound very encouraging.

They also released a statement that what radiation that has leaked (though they stated none has...) will not effect the western US. However, they will not address a full out multiple reactor meltdown. But you have to know they have thought about it.

Since the government likes to plan on everything. I can only assume that they have considered what a huge nuke cloud over the west coast would do. And have assessed whatever damage and death to be a manageable number. Evacuation would be a Cluster F......and it would be worse than the actual damage I am sure. There are only a couple of highways heading east - and they get backed up daily during rush hour.

I hope we don't find out....but it doesn't hurt to look at the real possibility of an even greater looming disaster.

Jet Stream...

Yes I know but...lets not forget the complete meltdown of Chernobyl...a flawed system that had little to no effect world wide other then in and around Chernobyl...will the Japanese suffer?...sure they will but not to the point of complete devastation...the destruction was caused by an earthquake and not from damaged nuclear reactors...could they become a major factor?...read the below...

By WILLIAM TUCKER
Even while thousands of people are reported dead or missing, whole neighborhoods lie in ruins, and gas and oil fires rage out of control, press coverage of the Japanese earthquake has quickly settled on the troubles at two nuclear reactors as the center of the catastrophe.

Rep. Ed Markey (D., Mass.), a longtime opponent of nuclear power, has warned of "another Chernobyl" and predicted "the same thing could happen here." In response, he has called for an immediate suspension of licensing procedures for the Westinghouse AP1000, a "Generation III" reactor that has been laboring through design review at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for seven years.

Before we respond with such panic, though, it would be useful to review exactly what is happening in Japan and what we have to fear from it.

The core of a nuclear reactor operates at about 550 degrees Fahrenheit, well below the temperature of a coal furnace and only slightly hotter than a kitchen oven. If anything unusual occurs, the control rods immediately drop, shutting off the nuclear reaction. You can't have a "runaway reactor," nor can a reactor explode like a nuclear bomb. A commercial reactor is to a bomb what Vaseline is to napalm. Although both are made from petroleum jelly, only one of them has potentially explosive material.

Once the reactor has shut down, there remains "decay heat" from traces of other radioactive isotopes. This can take more than a week to cool down, and the rods must be continually bathed in cooling waters to keep them from overheating.

On all Generation II reactorsthe ones currently in operationthe cooling water is circulated by electric pumps. The new Generation III reactors such as the AP1000 have a simplified "passive" cooling system where the water circulates by natural convection with no pumping required.

If the pumps are knocked out in a Generation II reactoras they were at Fukushima Daiichi by the tsunamithe water in the cooling system can overheat and evaporate. The resulting steam increases internal pressure that must be vented. There was a small release of radioactive steam at Three Mile Island in 1979, and there have also been a few releases at Fukushima Daiichi. These produce radiation at about the level of one dental X-ray in the immediate vicinity and quickly dissipate.

View Full Image

Getty Images
.If the coolant continues to evaporate, the water level can fall below the level of the fuel rods, exposing them. This will cause a meltdown, meaning the fuel rods melt to the bottom of the steel pressure vessel.

Early speculation was that in a case like this the fuel might continue melting right through the steel and perhaps even through the concrete containment structurethe so-called China syndrome, where the fuel would melt all the way to China. But Three Mile Island proved this doesn't happen. The melted fuel rods simply aren't hot enough to melt steel or concrete.

The decay heat must still be absorbed, however, and as a last-ditch effort the emergency core cooling system can be activated to flood the entire containment structure with water. This will do considerable damage to the reactor but will prevent any further steam releases. The Japanese have now reportedly done this using seawater in at least two of the troubled reactors. These reactors will never be restarted.

None of this amounts to "another Chernobyl." The Chernobyl reactor had two crucial design flaws. First, it used graphite (carbon) instead of water to "moderate" the neutrons, which makes possible the nuclear reaction. The graphite caught fire in April 1986 and burned for four days. Water does not catch fire.

Second, Chernobyl had no containment structure. When the graphite caught fire, it spouted a plume of radioactive smoke that spread across the globe. A containment structure would have both smothered the fire and contained the radioactivity.

If a meltdown does occur in Japan, it will be a disaster for the Tokyo Electric Power Company but not for the general public. Whatever steam releases occur will have a negligible impact. Researchers have spent 30 years trying to find health effects from the steam releases at Three Mile Island and have come up with nothing. With all the death, devastation and disease now threatening tens of thousands in Japan, it is trivializing and almost obscene to spend so much time worrying about damage to a nuclear reactor.

What the Japanese earthquake has proved is that even the oldest containment structures can withstand the impact of one of the largest earthquakes in recorded history. The problem has been with the electrical pumps required to operate the cooling system. It would be tragic if the result of the Japanese accident were to prevent development of Generation III reactors, which eliminate this design flaw.

Mr. Tucker is author of "Terrestrial Energy: How Nuclear Power Will Lead the Green Revolution and End America's Energy Odyssey" (Bartleby Press, 2010).

However

by Crispy

They now say there is a good possibility that another explosion would melt the containment shield. And we now seem to have 6 reactors in trouble, 2 apparently in full melt down. Chernobyl was 1 reactor.

They have evacuated a 50 mile radius, and told the people not to go outside and breath the "radiation in the air". I guess the inside air comes from somewhere else?...

There was another explosion reported about 15 min's ago.

I think it is worse than they admit. Will it effect here? Hard to say. Guess it depends on if the loose all 6 reactors, and if the containment shields melt. They are also expecting a major aftershock - around a 6 or higher, and possibly another tsunami. Which will just confound the problems they have.

"The nearby city of Pripyat was not immediately evacuated after the incident, but after radiation levels set off alarms at the Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant in Sweden, over one thousand kilometers from the Chernobyl Plant, did the Soviet Union admit that an accident had occurred. Nevertheless, authorities attempted to conceal the scale of the disaster."

1,000 kilometers is about 620 miles. Long way to set of a radiation detector....LOL

Mighty big restricted zone....

Military Crew Said to Be Exposed to Radiation, but Officials Call Risk in U.S. Slight
By WILLIAM J. BROAD
Published: March 13, 2011

The Pentagon was expected to announce that the aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan, which is sailing in the Pacific, passed through a radioactive cloud from stricken nuclear reactors in Japan, causing crew members on deck to receive a months worth of radiation in about an hour, government officials said Sunday.

The officials added that American helicopters flying missions about 60 miles north of the damaged reactors became coated with particulate radiation that had to be washed off.

There was no indication that any of the military personnel had experienced ill effects from the exposure. (Everyone is exposed to a small amount of natural background radiation.)

Cresent City (up by the Oregon border) had it's harbor destroyed by the (politically incorrect and not reported) Tsunami waves that hit the west coast yesterday. I was listening to an official on the radio say "the second round of Tsunami waves didn't do any damage, because the first round completely destroyed the entire harbor"....Oddly on the news I find very little.

My Progressive Democratic friends are already working on making this disaster a political event. Because everything is a political opportunity for them. It makes me both sad and sick. But it does bring out the true colors of folks.

I hope they keep them reactors from melting down.

My sighting was in Rapides parish Louisiana. What makes them so arogant to think they have all the squatches, many a database has sightinings thorughout the US and Canada. Sorry for ranting just annoyed by his "we can't have squatches in the south" attitude. Any thoughts?

Way back in 1983

by MissippiMike

I was between semesters while attending USM in Hattiesburg. I decided I wanted to be a "Doodlebugger" for a summer job. To make a long story short the entire summer experience made me come back to school and work on getting my degree with a VENGEANCE! I did not want to have to work like that any longer than was absolutely necessary, MAn it was hard work. Anyway, those areas between New Orleans, Houma, Cutoff, Raceland-a different PLANET! I had NEVER been exposed to so much wilderness. Wasp nests the size of basketballs! Every bug out there either bit or stung. Beyond hot and humid. And everywhere Cotton-mouth Moccasins. Gators galore. Co-workers with names like"Sunset". So I know personally that La has mucho wilderness areas. VAST expanses. A body could disappear in those places and NEVER be found if it didn't want to. Never felt as much solitude in my life as I did that summer. ANYTHING could exist out there.

Large Critters

by Geronimo

Apparently they have not seen the "Swamp Men" and "Gator Hunter" shows on cable! If the did they would have seen all of the large critters and vast marshes that have existed despite their ignorance.

When I first met MH I was a skeptic but I at least made the effort to get out and find out for my self. But when I saw how much undeveloped land there was in Louisiana alone, that sustained a large population of wildlife, I could not think of a reason why a large critter could not survive in the same habitat. So then it became a matter of time before all doubt was removed.

BTW, I currently live in the area between Houma and Raceland. We still have large bugs that you have to defend yourself from.

We have lots of bears and moose here and lots of white and red pine forests so there are lots of tracks in that kind of ground condition. Don't get me wrong though, I'm just saying what it looks like to me. When you guys find this sort of thing are there other prints on the track line or do you usually find just one like this? and I was thinking after that it would depend on the depth of the needles and decaying needles underneath. Here, that duff layer is very deep over loam and in some areas sand so a moving animal's foot/hoof wouldn't necesarily expose the soil.

On Adrian Erickson...

by chattahoocheebigfoot

I'd like to believe that this individual has viable "without a shadow of a doubt" proof of bigfoot. I do know first-hand that he and his entourage have collected video from N. Carolina, Kentucky(that's a given); Paris, Texas and from Tennessee. However, it must be noted that this man's profession is in real estate. By no means is he a field researcher - not by a long shot. In fact, in footage that this man has obtained has been paid for handsomely. He's a millionaire several times over.

Sadly, I know that he funded Jan Carter extensively to produce results-AND she and her "man-friend of that particular period" failed to produce results. Ten's of thousands of dollars changed hands and went down the drain - BUT nothing! Basically the man "got taken for a ride".

This is what troubles me about his release of the documentary. Knowing that Janice Carter had a foothold in this entire event somewhat taints things for me. I personally knew her more than I wanted to at the time and believe you me - "she's a space cadet".

She'll be playing an important part in the documentary with whimsicle allusions to psychic things and interpretations of "what the bigfoot are saying" in his video release. I find this less than credible as this person suffers from mental illness and severe depression.

With her being directly involved in this documentary (even from it's conception), I am going to take everything said in it with a grain of salt.

My initial opinion on this yet to be released DVD will cause me to immediately question it due to her "lies" told to Mary Green while writing the 50 Years: Tennessee Chronicles of Co-Existence book. I used to view this book as somewhat a "the bigfoot bible" but after knowing her personally and intimately; I have changed my views on what she told Mary to publish. Her entire book is riddled with holes. So naturally, what she told Adrian and others must be similar if not a reproduction.

I must also note that Mary Green is entirely innocent with matters on the book. Mary merely published what Carter described to her as being truth. Which later I found was not the case at all.

I guess in a nutshell - I am skeptical about the DVD due to her involvement with it. Once a liar always a liar in my book. I find it amazing what people will do for a "little bag of silver". If the money is present, she'll jump on the wagon if you know what I mean.

Just my two-cents.

Just a trailer/teaser

by MikeInNC

If the claims at the end of the video are true, the amount of visible detail should force the scientific community to take a serious look into BF.

My question/concern is, have the owners of the super BF flick been working on the documentary/docu-drama for five whole years?

My personal thought is that if someone wants to prove BFs existence, they release info as soon as practical. If they're trying too hard (years?!??) to make a buck off it (with some glossy docu-flick), my Spidey-senses start to tingle......

-Mike in NC

On a side note:

Here's a Russkie flick - looks interesting (another one of those, "I was minding my own business and happened to catch something on tape" videos.

I'm just still stumped to believe that the scientific community and the national public as a whole has not began to realize what's out there and for me it seems it's because the ones who have real evidence keep it close by(with good reason) and the ones with fake **** keep getting airtime. You two have worked hard on this mystery and should be lauded, in fact, Timberghost I need to thank you more than anyone because you sited a location that actually came close to getting me a one-on-one encounter! I recognize the last two shots, Mike. As soon as you posted them, they struck a cord with me. I knew I'd seen them before, and not recently either. So I checked my external hard drive where I store stuff for safekeeping. And I found them. I think all five are from the same guy, Saycheez, who used to post stuff over at the old BFF.

Saycheez was well known for taking shots and later finding or creating "sasquatches" in them. He would take a nonedescript shadow and enhance the lighting to make it appear that there was a sasquatch face, or the whole body, or several of them in the photo. He would also post close-up pics that he said had a sasquatch in it, but then some of his past field partners would pipe up and post the original, and it would end up to be a magnified area too small for a creature of that size to be in.

The last two shots I happen to have in my hard drive ... [Mike, I can't resize them to post here. Can I send them to you so you can post them for me?] ...

#4 & #5 from your post - I have the full frame shot these two came from. It was taken on Nov. 17, 2007 at 2:11 pm. He had a long winded story about it being from his field site area, but he had some difficulty getting into the site or somesuch. (there was always an excuse) He took the shot then later when he got home discovered these creatures in the pic. That happened a lot with him. He'd never see anything when he was taking pictures, but later would always happen to find sasquatches in them. LOL He got raked over the coals pretty good at the old BFF for his shenanigans. On this particular story, it got bad. He spent quite a bit of time defending his scam and standing by it, even though it was blatantly obvious what he was doing. He made it a hobby, I think. laugh.gif

The second one I have was taken a year later, on Dec. 10, 2008 at 3:35 pm. He was asked to post it to show a comparison shot between his supposed sasquatch pic and the same area on another date .. to see if there were still sasquatches in the picture. If I remember correctly, he was roundly criticized for producing a comparison shot at a different time of year, when the leaves were off the trees. (A different time of year would change the shadow areas, making the comparison shot useless.) Again he made some excuse or other why he couldn't get access at the right time of year. And also, if I remember right, he could never get access to the property again.

Funny how that happens ...

Anyway, he had a lot of photos of this type, and every single one was doctored or enhanced so that bf's seemed to be in the shadows. All were taken without seeing anything in the flesh, but later when he got home, he would miraculously "find" creatures in his shots.

if even ONE of you guys here would ever actually POST even one these pictures you have of Bigfoot... They are apparently so good as to prove the real McCoy's look different than these fakes. close up face shots? heck at this point i would even take a blob squatch from any of you.

yet, im sure nothing will get posted. story after story, claim after claim. most have never seen even one. you guys have seen what hundreds? whole little cities of them living behind your houses and in your back yards etc...

ok.. so POST THE FREAKING PICTURES!!

seriously, i have been reading this site for close to 10 years now and not once in all these years have any of you guys ever posted one single shot of all these pictures you claim to have. there is no excuse and no legit reason to not put up what you have. the only reason is if you are flat out making up all your supposed evidence.

think about how absurd it is that you guys will put up 20 pictures of sticks in the woods but not one single image of an actual bigfoot that you all claim to have..

its a joke.. otherwise prove me and everyone else who reads this site and is thinking the same thing but to chicken to call you guys out.

Hundreds?! What?

by Geronimo

At what point did you come to the conclusion that MH must have seen "hundreds" of monsters? I also have been reading this Forum for a number of years. Maybe eight years, I don't remember. But by my tally MH has talked about six to eight specific monsters over the years and other assorted monsters from other areas of interest. Or maybe all of the reports you have read from other BF forums are starting to become one big blur. (Pun intended).

It is my understanding that this Forum is a meeting place for people to talk about similar interests. That's why you will see a wide variety of topics being discussed. Some BF related others not so much. At no point have I seen this forum as a platform for MH to brag about all the sasquatching he does.

If the anticipation is too much for you to bare, I suggest you get out in the field and begin to participate. Start creating your own experinces so that you will be able to decide if you believe or not. That's exactly what I did when I first heard of the GCBRO.

Unless, that was an attempt to employ reverse psychology. In wich case, I retract my last comment and hope that MH doesn't fall for your clever trap.

Hellbinder,

by Lone Wolf

First off go back and re-read your post. You have made it clear that you are uneducated, and know nothing regarding Bigfoot research, human nature, or common decency.
It is people like you, non researching, keyboard warriors, that whine and cry when people who belong to the GCBRO won't go out and spoon feed you information, and research results.

Who are you to regulate the distribution of evidence?
YOU try spending your time and money.
YOU try humping miles through the bush dodging ticks and snakes.
YOU try putting up with whiny dip$hits such as yourself..........
I would bet you haven't spent much time in the woods have you.

I have seen the photos and they are amazing. Don't you wish you had one shred of respect or credibility?
Then you could be studying the pictures as I have been.

In closing, I have wasted enough of my valuable time trying to educate you.
I suggest you bug off and try your adolescent antics elsewhere.........

You need to show just a bit of respect.

by Deer slayer

Hellbender, I have also read these posts for years. And I have total respect for a great majority of folks on here. IF you truly are serious, you need to remember the filming of cryptids is tricky. It's much easier to shoot a deer than to get a good photo. Anyone who publishes photos that are the least bit fuzzy are opening themselves up to ridicule. And besides, pics like these are personal property. YOU or I DO NOT have the "right" to see them. And once a great shot is put on the internet, it is no longer the property of the photographer.
I trust these people here, and you should learn to do the same if you are serious about this subject. So, either go away or treat good folks with a bit of respect. This is NOT one of those boards where some smart *** can horn in and hide behind a computer to harrass people. If you want to do that, stick to Topix. Mature people don't really have time for such BS.

recent photos of bigfoot family

by travellor

Just curious, but I have to ask the question. If there are individuals with good, decent photos of these creatures, would it be beneficial as a whole to provide that evidence to the scientific community? It seems to me that to it would do some good, perhaps open the eyes fof more people out there that these creatures are real. If enough evidence is previewed by enough people than it could change consenting opinion across the board. While I do not have any photos myself of any creatures, I have had photos of footprints, heard wood knocks, found tree breaks, heard the gibberish in dark of the woods and been approached in the woods at night but no sighting. Yet I am open and free about what I have found, heard and experienced despite the ridicule and contempt. I just believe that the only way to keep this going is to take it all in and persevere so that more and more people will begin to realize it isn't some kind of joke. While I am not stating that everyone must provide what evidence they have, I am just wishing that those who are actively searching for these creatures could help to increase the awareness by providing real evidence as opposed to the multitude to fakeries and hoaxes you see on youtube and other locations. Thanks, Travellor

My guess is...

by Terry

and it's only an uneducated guess, that no one has a CLEAR photo, just shadowy shots of what could be a bf family. Interpretations are always subject to scrutiny with many not seeing what the photographer or his/her friends see. In my opinion a clear shot of a so called family would be difficult to fake (much like a family of chimps going about their business would be difficult to fake) and such a photograph would be valuable to the question, is there such a thing as a bf? Sure would be neat to see one though.

I have one or several pictures and know others that do...

by Monster Hunter

Us old timers do believe in sharing to a point but we're not obligated to show or prove anything to anyone...there is no doubt in my mind these Monsters roam the North American forests...I do have good pictures but I'm not through with the investigation...video cameras are the next step...

I have hair, poop and puke in a lab now patiently awaiting the results...regardless of results I know and can plainly see Monsters in the pictures as others can and have seen...I refuse to turn anything over to Meldrum or any scientists he associates with...all my associates feel the same as I...we owe him nothing and that's exactly what he'll get from me...I don't need him or any scientists tell me what I have in pictures or and film evidence when they haven't had a sighting or sightings of their own for comparison...to prove my point...Meldrum denies that some of these Monsters have only three digits for toes...the below is magnified where you can see the foot and toes of a Monster...

[linked image]

When I feel as if I can't go any further or get any more substantial film evidence I'll turn to harvest...as of now harvest in this particular area is an option but not before I play the hand completely out...I know and am fully aware science really wants a corpse and not film only for discovery...most of us could see clear pictures and or video of a group and know of their existence...science may claim film or video would be sufficient for discovery but I guarantee they would prefer a corpse...not a drugged Monster but one dead in the back of a truck so they can slice and dice...

I'm not convinced

by Geronimo

the the scientific community is ready to accept the sasquatch reality. I was a detective for my local sheriff's office, and I have conducted many interviews and interrogations. Out of about 100 interrogations only two did not result in a confession. That's not a bragging point because my partner and I always did our homework and collected enough evidence to formerly charge our suspects. So the confession became merely a formality.

Although, I have not interviewed anybody related to or involved with the Patterson film I am not convinced that the film was a hoax. I have seen the tv specials, and I have heard the reasoning used to determine that the film was a hoax. In my opinion, all of the information that is available on the patterson film is contorted to fit into the "makings of a hoax". No other point of view or train of thought is really explored. Resulting in the video being dismissed as a hoax with circumstancial evidence.

I believe that the film is very real video evidence of an animal that has not yet been properly identified. Taking a pefectly focused close up picture of a monster will NOT satisfy the scientific community when a video won't do. But see how fast the "experts" will highjack the bandwagon when you drag a body into a lab.

I know that Jim knows this better than most because he is able to invest more time and effort than a lot of us in the group.

Keep this in mind folks, if we were trying to perpetuate a hoax or falsehood, why would we put so much effort into it with so little in return?
There is simply nothing to gain!
All that we are trying to do is report the news of what some of us have eye witnessed pure and simple.
Let me tell you something, the gear that we buy to do this stuff ain't cheap and it ALL comes out of out own pockets.
We don't have any government grants or a "Tom Slick" in our corner backing us!
To tell you the truth,I wouldn't want one, because he (whoever the money man is) might tell me to do things a different way than the one that I know works!
I think that has been the downfall of some "other groups", they have tried to sensationalize and impress the folks with the money or the pull or whatever and got caught in their BS and fell into ruin and as I have seen over the years now, it has happened MANY TIMES.

It's all about hard work and patience and persistence with a dash of perseverance thrown in there, this WILL be proven one day with the right combination of the above ingredients present in the mix, of course there is just good old fashioned LUCK in there too, in the mean time let the scoffers scoff, he who laughs last laughs best anyways!

I see your point Travellor however

by Lone Wolf

unless the photos in question are crystal clear, they would only face negative scrutiny which in my opinion would hurt rather than help.
Even clear photos will be denied by some.
I agree with Jim's method of disclosure in that he is still in the process of investigating.
I also agree with Jim's next step to be video due to video being a much better piece of evidence when gait, movements and sounds would be included.

A place for each,

by Grumpy

I also agree, and with today's newer style digital cameras they allow both within the same camera. You can use still photography to document evidence and then utilize video to document movement of any type of creature plus capture stills while using video all within one camera. The problem will be having the presence of mind to properly use these features and document under stress.

Video will be from stationary cameras...

by Monster Hunter

I plan on setting up a four camera system with audio...I can store video and audio for up to 20 days before retrieving...I'm going to use AC reduced to DC instead of a battery base along with solar panels...bullet cameras with a wide angle but with the distance required for quality video...Tomorrow I'll measure distances needed for the cameras and then I want to get an approximate height of the Monsters caught on the game camera...

I am not using any IRs for night video...I want day time video only...the cameras may have night capabilities but I'll set a timer or timers to activate the cameras for day light hours only...I absolutely do not want any IR...we have done this before thinking the Monsters might be able to see in the IR spectrum...

In the pictures I have it appears the Monsters, three of them, are looking directly at the camera...possibly these three or one of the three activated the camera...

Regarding Paltalk

by

I hate to see such a valuable research asset go by the wayside.
There are a few people who have the admin code to my room (and you know who you are), I would like to see more activity in this regard.
I have landed in a job for now that requires me to be on call 24/7 so there are times that I will not be able to personally host the room BUT that does not mean that some of you can't.
Fridays are pretty much my Mondays for now so it is hard for me to attend most (not all) of the time.

This is such a valuable asset, I wish I could host it personally 2 or 3 nights a week, but I just can't attend to it all by myself, so if some of you want to be moderators, drop me an email at ricktullos@gmail.com .
I know who I would like to have on it and am hoping they will reply.

IMO this is very important and a tremendous research tool, please don't wait on me to personally open up the room before you open it up!
I want to see researchers interact and compare notes and so on, this is how strategies are formulated and workable plans are enacted.

Just say when

by RubyRed

and I'll download PalTalk again. I have a much more powerful computer than I had 10 years ago when I first tuned in and heard MH, Bobby, and several others talk BF. It was a real treat...I miss it.
