The trail coming from the pine thicket...

by Monster Hunter

You can see her back porch where she sits watching for the Monster...she has claimed to have seen the Monster close to her propane tank a few times...the trail is visible in the picture with one of the game cameras hidden, the best I could, in a a few pines and brush to the left hand side...

The building on the right hand side is where she claims this Monster pulled deer antlers off of the wall, several plastic gasoline cans, a water hose and other items...I mounted a camera on a post of this building...

walking looking for tracks and anything unusual...she does a good job IMO to not have any experience...still has a problem with track impressions but she has some dirt she raked out around the building where I have the camera up where she has gotten prints of the toes and ball of the foot...after talking to her she may have gotten a knuckle/hand print...

But...I need more information....

by Monster Hunter

I want to know if there's one or a group...as of now I'm thinking several since she thought she saw two once and from tracks/impressions left at her neighbors a couple of months back...this larger one, possibly a male, has been seen by several different people throughout the area...could be an older one rambling from place to place in search of food...I need to spend more time in the area which I plan on doing this next week...

Speaking of "just one"...several years back there was a BF reported being seen in different areas...day time sightings...the color of hair reported struck me as being the same creature...three parish workers saw this critter cross a gravel road, about fifty feet from them, they were working on...a man that I know saw something similar cross his driveway, a dirt road about 1/4 mile long, as he was leaving headed to town...said it scared him so bad he went back home and got his shot gun...described as having quite a bit of streaks of grey throughout the body with a grey beard...

Budget Night Vision.

by SAsquatcher

Here is some NV that should get you through if you don't have thousands of $$$ at your disposal.
I still believe that the monsters can see the IR LED's but it's worth a shot and better than nothing because if you think Gen III is expensive, wait till you try pricing thermal!

Here is their demo video

I didn't see the NM of the LEDs Rick...

by Monster Hunter

At a certain level the LEDs would be invisible to our eyes...if not then we could clearly see the LEDs something similar to an IR game camera being activated...if these are military grade then they should be invisible to human eyesight...worth the money...if not military grade...put a red lens on a flash light...everything in the outdoors would see you coming anyway...

I think,,

by SAsquatcher

That the only reason that the LED's showed up in
the video is that all of them show up on video.
Even the ones on a remote control.

For those who don't know,,,

by SAsquatcher

Here is what we are talking about.

Most NV units use IR Emitters like those in the front of your remote control.
These are invisible to the naked human eye but digital cameras and camcorders and some animals can see in this wavelength.

Example
Here is a standard remote for a dish receiver / TV.
[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

Now here is how a digital camera sees it and the sensor on the TV unit with a button depressed.
[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

Notice the blue white lights, those are the LED's, these are invisible to your naked eye but the monsters can see them.
Now imagine having an array of about 20 of these LED's in pitch dark.

We believe based on research that these animals can see into this spectrum a little bit and so anybody walking through an area at night with this sort of set up might as well have a flashlight.

Sure with the night vision they help you see better, BUT, before you see the monsters they will see you.

Excellent example Rick...

by Monster Hunter

Something that needs mentioning about LEDs and our camera set up...the IR was invisible to our eyes but easily seen with NV III...something I noticed was the unit was either over or under powered emitting a slight burn smell which I could smell when I adjusted after a few weeks...I do know the batteries were at peak performance and the power supply was rated to operate the IR and camera without any surge when activated...the old saying comes into play...shxx happens...

I do think every item needed for video should be directly hooked up to 115 AC power to eliminate problems of converting DC to AC...testing in the field is expensive...

But there is a possibility these Monsters can see in the IR spectrum we were using...

One thing I did notice.

by SAsquatcher

On the LED emitter, you can turn it off.
This means that on a full moon lit night with the emitter off, this may be all the light that you need.

It sticks out like a sore thumb doesn't it ?
I want to try and find some tree bark camo netting and wrap around mine and just staple it to the tree and cut a hole where the lens and sensors and IR flash won't be hindered.
Make it look like a knot on the tree.

Visited the lady who claimed she had pictures of a BF...

by Monster Hunter

She definitely has three pictures of something standing, dark in color that I have in my hands right now...I'm sending them to MK to see if he can do some work on them...here's the deal...a walmart throw away camera...the distance is about 100 yards but it is remarkable she has what she has using that piece of crap for a camera...

I took a picture of an impression yesterday, picked up half a large jar of crap I know didn't come from any common critter...not as big around as a person would think but 6 to 8 inches in length...large piles that had already been destroyed by rain...there were six different places I found large piles around her 3/4 to 1 acre unfenced yard...

This lady gave me several wads of hair she found on a trail where she has been seeing this Monster...yes I'll have it analyzed...

One of the wads of hair...

[linked image]

Yes I did use a rubber glove to pick up this crap...

I put up a couple of game cameras yesterday...

by Monster Hunter

One on the trail coming from a pine thicket and another on her shed where she claims something has been taking items from...as many trees she has there were not any good hides for the cameras...the trails were leading east to west...game cameras don't do good facing into the sun either coming up or going down so I did the best I could...

I didn't have the lock safety boxes for my cameras but I did take my drill and some two inch screws...LOL...screwed the straps close to the camera and all around the tree and post...if someone steals or opens them they'll have to have some tools...

I'm ordering two more cameras ASAP...her neighbor has what they think is the same Monster coming to their home...chickens are missing with one found on this ladies property in some kind of metal looking flange about four feet deep...these people walked outside for a smoke with this Monster stepping over the fence a few feet from them headed towards the pine thicket...

The dead chicken was found inside the below...

The ladies son-in-law...

by Monster Hunter

The lady, day time hours, sees this critter around her pecan tree telling her son-in-law who didn't come out of the house...she sees this critter again standing beside what she calls a log house...this time she makes her son-in-law come out who in turn walked to the house about 80 yards away...I'm sure he did this to prove to the lady she was seeing things...the man walked around the corner of this house coming face to face with this Monster...within feet...

The man was gone for the day with me waiting quite some time for him to come home which he didn't...I spoke with his wife who told me...he wouldn't say anything other then it was the biggest thing he had ever seen and he was as white as a sheet when he came back to the house...I'll catch him next time I go down sometime next week and get him to describe what he witnessed...

How about collecting bunch of human urine and then spray it all the way around the old shed as in marking it as territory. If they destroy the shed then they haven't lost much and they should leave more sign around and have cameras on all four sides of the shed.

"We spend millions of dollars every year on federal grants to send biologists to the Amazon, to Southeast Asia -- all over the world looking for and studying the biodiversity of those regions," Schuster said. "But the irony is that there's very little money that is actually spent in our own country to do the same thing. And there are still lots of areas right here in the U.S. that need to be explored."

Crawdads

by Squatchman

I have caught a lot of crawdads in my youth, some of them as big as 10 inches.
I kept one and named him Santos Claus. Kept him in an aquarium till he got about 12 inches and changed colors, bright red and orange and turquoise.
The filtered water changed his colors and we fed him all the time, couldn't keep other crawdads in there with him, he would eat them too.
So, let's keep a few in an aquarium for a while then ask for federal funds, whatdaya think?

Big Crawdads

by Chuck L

Like Squatchman I caught some HUGE crawdads growing up. My childhood home was snuggled up next to what is now the Ruffner Mt. Reserve located to the Northeast of Birmingham.

I remember a medium size stream which ran straight off Ruffner Mt. and meandered alongside our property. I remember it was extremely cold year round since it was spring fed. It was also filled with big boulders.

I remember spending hours rooting around in it. I explored every inch of it from where it came out of the ground to where it emptied into the Cahaba River.

It wasn't anything unusual to catch a 5" crawdad. I caught many 6-8" specimens as well. I don't recall any much bigger than that. I also don't recall any markings. They were all red after I boiled them to eat.

Motel Hell Story Continued

by Lone Wolf

Things began to get more frequent and strange in the house.
I continue to hear nightly voices, and now I am awakened regularly by moaning and groaning that I can only describe as a human getting butchered, just horrible!

So one day I am in the shower, and I have my towel draped over the top of the shower door.
All of a sudden, the towel gets ripped off the door and thrown into the middle of my bedroom.
Obviously this scared me as you tend to feel a little vulnerable naked in the shower.
So I finish the shower rather quickly, I turn off the water and I am hearing a noise that sounds like running water.
I get out of the shower soaking wet, and both sinks on the vanity have the hot water turned on full blast!
I shut the water off, and retrieved my towel and dried off.

Later I went downstairs and on the lower level I had a half bathroom.(Sink, toilet)
In the sink of the half bath, I found a razor that I had never seen before!
It is the kind my father used to use, all metal with the little knob on the bottom that opened flaps to access and change the blade.
I was living alone at the time, there is no way this could have been put there by a human.

Next Installment: What to do when your walls are oozing ectoplasm........

Did you ever research the history of the property to determine why this was happening to you?

Ectoplasm! Totally UNREAL! Oh, good grief! That reminds me of the movie Ghostbusters...the scene in the library.

Alabama

A group of Alabama friends went deer hunting and paired off in twos for the day. That night, one of the hunters returned alone, staggering under the weight of an eight-point buck.

"Where's Henry?" the others asked.

"Henry had a stroke of some kind. He's a couple of miles back up the trail," the successful hunter replied.

"You left Henry laying out there and carried the deer back?" they inquired.

"A tough call," nodded the hunter. "But I figured no one is going to steal Henry!"

Georgia

The owner of a golf course in Georgia was confused about paying an invoice, so he decided to ask his secretary for some mathematical help.

He called her into his office and said, "You graduated from the University of Georgia and I need some help. If I were to give you $20,000, minus 14%, how much would you take off?"

The secretary thought a moment, and then replied, "Everything but my earrings."

Louisiana

A senior citizen in Louisiana was overheard saying ... "When the end of the world comes, I hope to be in Louisiana ."

When asked why, he replied, "I'd rather be in Louisiana because everything happens in Louisiana 20 years later than in the rest of the civilized world."

Mississippi

The young man from Mississippi came running into the store and said to his buddy, "Bubba, somebody just stole your pickup truck from the parking lot!"

Bubba replied, "Did you see who it was?"

The young man answered, "I couldn't tell, but I got the license number."

North Carolina

A man in North Carolina had a flat tire, pulled off on the side of the road, and proceeded to put a bouquet of flowers in front of the car and one behind it. Then he got back in the car to wait.

A passerby studied the scene as he drove by and was so curious he turned around and went back. He asked the fellow what the problem was.

The man replied, "I have a flat tire."

The passerby asked, "But what's with the flowers?"

The man responded, "When you break down they tell you to put flares in the front and flares in the back. I never did understand it neither."

Tennessee

A Tennessee State trooper pulled over a pickup on I-65. The trooper asked, "Got any ID?"

The driver replied, "Bout whut?"

Texas

The Sheriff pulled up next to the guy unloading garbage out of his pick-up into the ditch.

The Sheriff asked, "Why are you dumping garbage in the ditch? Don't you see that sign right over your head."

"Yep", he replied. "That's why I'm dumpin' it here, cause it says:

'Fine For Dumping Garbage'."

PET FISH

A redneck was stopped by a game warden in Central Mississippi recently with two ice chests full of fish. He was leaving a cove well-known for its fishing.

The game warden asked the man, ' Do you have a license to catch those fish? '

' Naw, sir ' , replied the redneck. ' I ain't got none of them there licenses. You must understand, these here are my pet fish. '

' Pet fish? '

' Yeah. Every night, I take these here fish down to the lake and let ' em swim ' round for awhile. Then, when I whistle, they jump right back into these here ice chests and I take ' em home. '

' That's a bunch of hooey! Fish can't do that. '

The redneck looked at the warden for a moment and then said, ' It's the truth Mr. Government Man. I'll show ya. It really works. '

' O. K.. ' , said the warden. ' I've got to see this! '

The redneck poured the fish into the lake and stood and waited.

After several minutes, the warden says, ' Well? '

' Well, what? ' , says the redneck.

The warden says, ' When are you going to call them back? '

' Call who back? '

' The FISH ' , replied the warden!

' What fish? ' , replied the redneck.

Moral of the story: We may not be as smart as some city slickers, but we ain't as dumb as some government employees!

You can say what you want about the South, but you never hear of anyone retiring and moving north?

Motel Hell Story 1 Continued

by Lone Wolf

I moved this post up to begin a new thread...

Sorry for the long delay, I'm taking care of my ill father roughly 12 hrs. a day.

Night Two in Motel Hell:

At the time I was taking martial arts and working out with weights so one bedroom was a gym.
In this room I had a weight bench a few dozen plates and a 70 pound heavy punching bag suspended from the high beamed ceiling.
So on the second night I first heard murmured voices kind of like a radio station that is just too low to make out what is being said. Then I heard the heavy footsteps on the second floor where I was trying to sleep.
I saw a blue flash of light on the wall. About two minutes later, I could hear my weight plates clinking together, like someone was working out! I got up, went to that room and the 70lb. weight bag was swinging back and forth at least three feet side to side! The room was as cold as a freezer, I could actually see my breath.
I stopped the bag from swinging, and I noticed my weights were scattered around. I also smelled sulphur which I have since learned was a sign that this was a powerful demonic entity.
I now became literally afraid to sleep at night. The entity would not do things daily but would be quiet sometimes for as long as a couple of weeks, but just as I became comfortable, it would start up again and again.
I don't know how I was able to keep a job. I was showing up to work exhausted and edgy.
Things then started disappearing in the house. You already heard about the remote, car keys, shoes, even glassware would disappear never to be found. Even though I had many years of previous experience with ghosts this was no ordinary ghost.
Next installment:
Sometimes there is no safe haven, even in the shower !
Things begin to get far worse...............

Blonde Jokes

by SAsquatcher

I had a friend that has a wife named Carol, now Carol was not slow by any means,so Carol and my friend and I were invited to an outdoor 4th of July party where we strung up a volleyball net across the Loosihatchie river.
Needless to say we were all having a real good time but there was this one joker that started spewing blond jokes one after one and he had been hitting on this friend of Carols who happened also to be blonde.
Well as time went on he got drunker and drunker and was hammering everybody with blond jokes and I could tell that Carol had about had enough so Carol whispered to her friend and then her friend started laughing uncontrollably and told Carol "Yeah go ahead", so Carol got the guy in front of everybody and said "Hey I've got one", well at this point the guy looked perplexed but said "OK go ahead".
So Carol stepped up and asked the guy in a joking manner "do you know when a blond has reached total and complete sexual fulfillment?
The guy said "No how"?
Carol just said "That's what I thought" and turned and walked off.

Information

by M.K.Davis

I know there are a lot of us that go way back in our pursuits of the Sasquatch/Bigfoot adventure. To the newer folks, there was a time when there was only the skantiest information to go by. The Patterson film was pretty much the crux of the matter for most folks, and then they only had the very bad copies to ever look at. Even in its bad forms, the film was intriguing and started many a Bigfooter down the road to frustration. Then came along some iconic docu-drama's such as "The Legend of Boggy Creek". Yes, information was very hard to come by, but equally as easy to control.
This, however is no longer the case. As time goes by, and many of the people involved, pass off the scene, information begins to leak. At first, just a trickle, and then a stream, and now... floodgates are open. This did not happen without a price being paid. These people did not let this information go willingly. Thousands of miles travelled, and thousands of hours of effort have opened these "floodgates". Desperate measures were undertaken to regain control, with threats, intimidations, smear campaigns and the like.
Now...when there are 51.1 meg files of frame 352 available from the internet, some might have become inured to the sacrifices of some to make these available. If you see enough good stuff, then, even the good stuff begins to bore. For whatever a person thinks, or believes, regarding the Patterson film, they now can make an educated choice. This should never be taken for granted. A definite attempt was made to rewrite history regarding this film. One definition of "history" is " What everyone can agree that happened." With a tight control of information, this "agreement" can be slanted and spun into nearly anything. It is likely that at least 30 seconds of this film is authentic, with, perhaps as much as 53 seconds. The rest of the film is an attachment. The "string" that spins the top so to speak. There is nothing in the film, in that authentic 30-53 seconds, that tells us ANYTHING about the film-maker. The scenes with Roger and Bob riding the bed of Bluff Creek, cannot be determined with accuracy, the source nor the date, except through oral testimony, which you know...is simply just another story. So...who took the 30-53 seconds film of a Sasquatch? I would look in the direction of those who have so diligently controlled what, of the film, may be seen by us over the years. If you are an old timer, then...think back to the old days when it was much harder to get any information. If you are a newbee, then I submit this in your behalf. If John Green had had his way, the photo on the left is the best that you would ever had seen from the film. The photo on the right is the result of the "sweat of the brow". Thousands of miles travelled, thousands of hours of effort, thousands of dollars spent to get at the facts. Now noone has to spend anything...just simply take a look, if it's not too boring. I'm one of the "Old Timers"...

by Monster Hunter

that remembers what we were first shown of the Patty film...a fuzzy dark bipedal creature strolling across a sand bar claimed to have been filmed in October by Roger Patterson...from the film I first saw I considered it to be a hoax...you couldn't see any details of the creature nor could you pay any attention to the surroundings because your eyes were glued on this dark thing casually taking a stroll away from supposedly two men...

A few scientists and interested parties thought the leg wound was a hernia...with MK stabilizing these frames you can clearly see a wound that opens, closes with a concentric hole in the thigh...would a hernia have a concentric hole?...why does this creature appear to have a concentric hole in her lower right side of her back?...why do we see a muzzle flash and two creatures?...why does one of these creatures stumble nearly going down catching itself with its right arm/hand?...why, at the beginning of the film, do we see a dug hole that appears to be red in color with the still coming from a transparency MK got from Ms. Patterson?...why is there a bloody dog track in the film when these two men didn't have a dog?...what happened to these six creatures Green wrote about?...why did Gimlin get awarded 51% of the rights to the film when he said he was along because of transportation for the horses and Roger?...he said he didn't use the camera at all...

For the sake of our forum I'll stop now but when you have some idle time think about the animation below and the questions above...

Big Bear shot Saddle Hills Alberta , Sept 20, 2010

These two gents were calling elk in the Saddle Hills south of Woking , Alberta when this big guy slipped in on the caller. The shooter spotted the bear about 8 yards from the caller and dropped him with 5 shots out of his 338 Rem Mag. Farmers in the area knew about the bear but werent able to track after it had killed 3 horses, 5 cows, 13 sheep and a pen full of chickens on several different homesteads in the area. Fish and Wildlife had bear traps set up in the area but noticed on surveillance video that whenever he would enter, his hump would hit the top of the culvert trap slowing him enough that the trap door would wack him on the head before he was all the way in the reap (check the scar tissue on his face). The bear weighed in just under 1,300 pounds and would have stood 11 feet tall on its hind legs.

You're not going to believe this...

by Monster Hunter

Jake and I went back to hang our cameras...on the way down I get a call from a lady I've mentioned before and turned a report in we received from her on the web site...her neighbor told me over the phone she had pictures about a month back, 35 mm, from a distance but could tell it was a BF...now she says she has three balls of hair she picked up by her pecan tree which is where she has been seeing this thing the past few months...not everyday as she mentioned before but at least two to three times per week...

I'm headed that way Wednesday or Thursday and believe it or not this is not what I said you're not going to believe...we hung one camera with me thinking I'll hang the others at this ladies home when I go down...

We hung the camera where we've been getting a few weird pictures and we scoured the area without finding any of the three cards...My wife just handed me a SD Card she found on the floor in the hallway...she had no idea we lost or misplaced any of the cameras cards...she's not interested so Jake and I never mention anything we do in the woods...

The same hallway Petey the pup barks at times when I can't see anything down there...

Petey would go absolutely nuts in this house, or would have. Haven't seen my "visitors" for a few weeks now. If the pattern holds the opaque lady and her opaque little dog will be back in a few weeks.

Unwelcome Guests

by Florida Redneck

I was on the computer late one night when I caught movement out of the corner of my eye to my left. I turned to look and saw the image of a young woman in a long dress or night gown with a pekinese type dog with her cross the living room and go through the door into the hall. I called it opaque before, but it was more translucent. I thought I must be losing it seeing things. I saw the same whatever several more times before I finally told my wife about it after my "guest" passed through this room and went through the wall not more than four feet from me. A couple of months later my oldest stepson came up from his hole in the basement and we were all sitting around talking and something caused my wife to tell both of us that she hadn't said anything to either of us before, but we had both told her about seeing the same thing and described it exactly the same, including the dog. This was the third or fourth different "guest" we have had. The lady and her dog don't come around quite as frequently anymore and she is quiet and hasn't caused any trouble that I am aware of, unlike the first shortly after we moved in here years ago. A friend who claims to be able to rid a place of spirits said she got them to leave. Apparently she did so because there hasn't been any more of the problems they caused since she supposedly cleared the place.

Motel Hell Story 1

by Lone Wolf

At the request of a few interested people her in the GCBRO family, here is my first installment.
First a little background for those of you I am not yet acquainted with, I have lived a very paranormal life.
I have been seeing spirits, both good and bad since I was about 5 yrs. old. (I am now 49)
I had what I believe to be a miracle from God that saved my life at age 18, and I continue to help in any way I can, people who are plagued by the negative side of the paranormal.

I am also somewhat psychic and have in fact helped law enforcement in Boise Idaho (which I have never been to) catch a man who was trying to murder a seven year old girl. I even included a description for the police that proved to be 100% accurate. (This story I will save for another time)

Anyway back to the house, the original house on the property was old and beat up so I bulldozed it and built two, two story houses on one large lot. I rented the front house, and lived in the back house. The house was a 2500 sq. ft two story house that I personally designed.
The area that my house was on used to be the backyard of the old house.

The first night.....
The very first night I slept there, I heard walking throughout the halls, however I just thought I was nervous this being my first night away from my family home in a big strange house on my own.
My only companion was my 70 lb. Golden Retriever, "Rusty".
The noises continued, but I soon fell asleep. About 1 a.m. I awoke to Rusty showing his teeth, hair standing up on end, and barking! He was fighting something I could sense but not see. Rusty was lunging, snapping, and biting what appeared to be thin air.
I actually thought Rusty had gone crazy until............Rusty got kicked! He yelped and flew back at least 6 feet on his butt, and flipped over! He recovered and got back in the fight for another 30 seconds or so, then everything went quiet and Rusty came to my bedside as if on guard.
I was now officially TERRIFIED!

(More to follow pending board interest)

Motel Hell Story 1 Continued

by Lone Wolf

Thank You Nellie

by Lone Wolf

All of this took place in my previous house at a time that I was not equipped to banish it.
My father is protected by me in that respect.

Yes I have considered writing a book.
The only joy that comes from this gift/curse is that I have been able to help others who are like I used to be, unable to rid themselves of spirits.
A book could reach many people that are desperate for help.

Unfortunately, churches are either ill-equipped or unwilling to help in many cases.
The prayers that protect and banish demons are in the Bible for anyone to learn and use.
Thank you for your concern Nellie.

We owned a brave little Shi Tzu like Rusty

by RubyRed

At times he'd fight something only he could see and would guard me, growling and snapping at thin air. At other times, he sit up on his hind legs, pawing the air as if asking an invisible person to play with him or at least, scratch his ears. When I'd see him doing the latter, I always felt rather comfortable and at peace but when he was "fighting" what only he saw, the feeling was sinister and depressing. That poor dog died before his time about two years after we moved out of our "haunted" house in Alief, Texas.

I remember when one of those televangelists named Gene Scott did this sort of thing back in the 80's, I hope they are right because it would be embarrassing not to be.
Also as a side note they used to stone false prophets in the old testament, just sayin'.

1 side note

by SAsquatcher

If in their interpretation there is a 5 month countdown then Jan 21 should be the day from which the countdown starts.
3 more days.
That must mean that there will be some event to kick it off (according to them).
It'll probably be something like Dick Chaney dropping another F bomb or the pope stubbing his toe or something.
Don't get me wrong, I do believe that the clock is ticking but I think only the Father can read the clock and tell when it's gonna chime midnight, and he ain't tellin.

has said that the Mayans may have been onto something afterall. But the magic date is Dec. 21, 2012 NOT 2011. We are still enduring the time period that the Lord called the "birth pangs." But be of good cheer; the story ends with a great finish.

And a great many of them have been fulfilled and are currently being fulfilled. One World Government is one of the signs and then you add in all the dead animals and birds world-wide, then you begin to wonder IF something truly ain't happening world-wide. We shall wait and see who is correct!

People wonder how a little old wolf can kill a big bull elk. Well wonder no more...

by Monster Hunter

Received this in email...

This wolf was shot in the Salmon area of Idaho .
This is one BIG Wolf....

This is what we are up against in Idaho , Montana , Wyoming and Oregon , These big wolves are eating everything in their wake and expanding their territory faster than we can keep track of them.
Who is afraid of the "Big Bad Wolf?"
Those wolves don't bother anything or anybody??? Guess again. Wendy who sent me this one lives near Challis.

Heidi Leavitt shot this wolf just outside their home down river at Spring Creek. Heidi was in the store and said that they have had a pack running around their place and decided when they heard about them coming their way again, they would try and shoot one (she did have a tag). So the next time came quickly and while waiting for the pack to get closer, they looked in the woods below them and there was this wolf.
He weighed 127 lbs and was a collared wolf and by the time they got it to Fish & Game (which is probably an 1.5 hr drive, Fish & Game already knew about the wolf and said they had been looking for him. He is now skinned and hanging at their place.

The wolf pack had been terrorizing campers lately. Had a couple of guys treed in the cab of their pickup all night at Colson Creek campground. Not afraid of human campsites at all.

Taking down and killing the average person...I've seen Saeda take down a wounded large doe no problem and she weighed about 95 pounds...I hate to see these animals killed but if it comes around your home, family and pets you really have no choice...shooing it away is not a deterrent...they'll come back if they sense food is available...damn that's a beautiful animal...what a waste...

Had the same thing happen to me....

by Timberghost

I wasn't using the automatic feeder at the time in my Beagle pen and was feeding out of a couple heavy metal pans (I think Aluminum)....I went out to feed one day and one of my pans was gone. I turned everything upside down looking for that thing and even had Kathy looking too. I was just NOT in the pen. A few weeks passed and one day we were over at my Dad's sitting on his porch and out of the blue he says "for the last two weeks one of them boogers has been beating on metal like it's beating a drum in that timber behind your house"... He said he answers the beating by pecking on his metal porch brace and it was a big game he had been playing with the Monsters... He said "sometimes we'll do it for a hour and when he get's tired of it he just quits"... I looked at Kathy then asked my Dad if it sounded like a Aluminum dog pan. He say's "Yes, it sure does"... I told him I had a feed pan come up missing and we started getting a little suspicious at that point. A few weeks after that I went out to feed and there was my feed pan sitting right in the middle of the pen. LOL, it looked cleaner than it did when it disappeared too!

Just gets weirder and weirder...

by Monster Hunter

I know I suffer from CRS and I also know Jake is kind of scattered brain at times when it comes to details but we checked our cameras yesterday....quite a few pictures of coon and a few deer...we had this area set up more or less in a triangle formation with the cameras...

Jake gets the SD cards from the cameras...brings them to the jeep and loads them on his lap top...I told him we were moving the cameras to an area we found a broken bush and a huge trail so he walks back to get the cameras...the SD cards were on my jeep when I told him to get the cameras...he walked back to gather the cameras and he and I left the area...I know for fact I would have picked up the SD cards when I put the computer up...apparently they were not there...

We go to the above mentioned area and decide we would scout around a bit...walked a couple of hours up the now dry creek bed and didn't find any heavy used trails and not any creek crossings so we decide we'll hang the cameras down a lane where we along with others have had sightings...took us an hour to cut and remove the brush to get into the area...yes, I believe in driving if at all possible...we finally get to this spot, get a camera out and no SD card...we searched the jeep, all the cameras and of course every pocket we had on us but still nothing...

We drive back to where the cameras were and the last spot we knew the SD cards were...walked the lane, searched all around the cameras without finding one darn card...quite a bit of ground clutter, limbs and leaves, and after about a thirty minute search we gave up in the darkness...driving out, about a three hundred yard drive, and nearing the road there's cut brush, the brush we cut, laying across the lane...

Jake and I have no idea what happened to the cards and when driving out we saw the cut brush in the lane we knew was clean of brush when we drove back in...he and I had no idea just WTH was going on...we drive to the south end to listen a bit and hear the bionic bird back west of us in the area where we just left from searching for the cards...we go back, stay a few minutes with Jake hearing this whistle again which I couldn't hear with him telling me it was north of us...a lesson to be learned...always wear ear protection when firing a weapon...we stayed there about 15 to 20 minutes...quiet...so we decide to drive out...

Now to make heads or tails of this...possibly left the cards on the jeep with them falling off on the lane...though we couldn't find them there was so many leaves and pine straw they could have fallen underneath some of this ground clutter...we'll go back and look again today weather permitting...the cut brush in the lane...it is possible brush was hung under the jeep when we cleared the other lane and came out when we crossed the road headed into the lane...it's either this or we have a darn haint fooling around with us...we do have a couple of weird pictures I'll post later...

Poltergeist

by Lone Wolf

Don't feel bad, in a house I used to live in (think Amittyville horror house, seriously), I once searched for my TV remote for days.
I set it down, walked 10 feet to a bathroom, came back one minute later and it was gone.
I found the remote in the freezer!

You also may have water faucets mysteriously turn on, and unexplained electrical malfunctions.

Weird picture...any ideas?...

by Monster Hunter

Notice what appears to be a light running up the trunk of the large pine...this was the first picture taken in a series of three...the second doesn't have this light nor do the other random consecutive pictures...may be nothing but flash but it seemed weird since it's only in one picture...BTW...we have no idea what triggered the camera...we do have pictures of coon so it could have been coon walking in and out...I just don't know...

MH, on the four pictures you posted

by

the second picture has what looks like a light colored tree trunk leaning toward the tree on the far right side of the picture. It wasn't in the first picture. Both pictures were taken during the same minute. Go figure.

Did you check the inside of the jeep to see if possibly the cards could have slid down into the seat and onto the floor under the seat? I lose pocket change alot that way. Cards have a small bit of metal on them...I wonder if a metal detector could detect them if they're laying on the ground?

Yes...we looked the jeep over pretty good but couldn't find the cards...it rained all day yesterday so we didn't go down but maybe today we can go down and look around some more...I have no idea what water can do to the SC Cards but I would think they are ruined...I have a few more here somewhere if I can find them...if not...walmart...

Several observations:

by Lone Wolf

I scrolled down and looked at Ricks most recent animations over two days.
I do not believe the two linear flashes are camera anomalies.
I cannot definitively say what these are, however I have seen spirit energy do this exact same thing both indoors and outdoors.
Most of the time these flashes occur in the blue spectrum of light, which is why they appear different in flash photos.

In the game cam photos at least to my eye they seem self illuminating which rules out dust, water or bugs.
People send me hundreds of "orb" photos, however very few pass my test for paranormal energy.
Other than fireflies self illumination does not commonly occur in nature on dry land.

I believe the MC area was probably Native American land.
Native American spirits are common and very powerful.
Once while fossil hunting in the mountainous desert area near the CA. AZ. border, I saw a full apparition of an Indian man. The funny thing was when I turned to look at him he seemed very surprised that I could see him!
He vanished by disappearing into the earth when I approached him.
Also a few of my colleagues have been haunted by spirits following the digging up and collection of artifacts such as pottery, jewelry etc.

With all things considered, the missing SD cards, Jim seeing a few things that were not BF and the picture anomalies, this very well could be spirit activity.

Monsters and haints...LOL...bring em on...I ain't scart...well, maybe a little...LOL...

I have no idea if this area was used by NAI but it would make sense since its up on more or less a high spot with the creek within one hundred yards...I have found small pieces of pottery on the lane headed down to the iron bridge after dragging the road with a tractor and blade after a rain...also found a small arrow head the size I've seen used for fishing...

On the north side next to the highway there were some huge mounds claimed to be Indian mounds that were leveled out with a natural gas well and pump station sitting where they were...I enter the property from the east side not knowing anything about this until after the fact...

Another little oddity in the pictures...

by Monster Hunter

There are shadows in a couple of pictures on the right side that shouldn't be there...as a matter of fact it would be impossible for there to be shadows IMO...I'll put them up later...we're headed down to put the game cameras back up and search around for the SD cards...

BTW...I couldn't find the cards I "thought" I had at home so I drove to walmart, bought 3 new cards and 3 new dog food pans...may have to put a game camera up in my dog pen...

Has to be something in the flash Rick even though I've never seen anything like this in any other pictures...maybe this thing stole my darn SD Cards...

BTW...the place we had the cameras set up is a spooky place during day light hours...night time...not for people who have the least bit of fear of the dark...less then a quarter of mile of this spot is where I found what I thought was a Monster bedding area...I do firmly believe three younger but nearly grown Monsters bedded up in this area...

I guess Jake and I'll have to tough it out and fight our way back into this place...damn...I hate knowing we have to fight the brush and briar's...maybe next weekend...then again...maybe not...LOL

Another observation - 2nd light in pic #2

by Mike in NC

I don't know if anyone commented on this in the following posts as I read them quickly, but.......

Pic 1 has the strong light streak at the far left.
Pic 2 has a weak light streak at the far right.

It's easily noted in the 2-frame animation posted further below.

The angle of the 2nd light streak seems to be a mirror image of the first bright light streak.

I can't guess at what the light streaks are, but the faint mirror image is an additional head-scratcher.

Speed of subject? How was the camera activated?

by Mike in NC

How quickly does the camera take pictures? 1 per second, 2 per second........1 every 3 seconds? Etc.

Assuming the light in pic 1 is the same light source as in pic 2 (regardless of what is causing the light: natural or unnatural phenomena) - that'd give an idea of the speed of the object/subject.

Also - assuming that the subject is a light streak of some kind, how would a light streak activate a motion sensor?

Is this simply a reflection on the lens caused by a light source passing on the other side of the camera? But.....then.......what triggered the camera to take the pictures?

Too many questions!

Camera speed...

by Monster Hunter

It's set to take three consecutive pictures and does so within a few seconds...without knowing exactly I would think about three seconds...it could be faster...

I have no idea what caused the camera to activate...we get blanks quite frequently with me thinking wind, sun shining through the trees causing shadows...I do know out of thousands of pictures we've taken over the years I haven't seen light like this in any of them...but then again...anything is possible causing a malfunction in the camera...

Within a 1/4 of a mile Nellie...

by Monster Hunter

I saw this fog/mist some years back...Tim saw something similar a few years later...both about the same distance from where the cameras were...we put one camera up yesterday in the same area on the same tree...

This is also the same spot we had a couple of pictures of something we can't recognize...different tree but pointed down the trail where this thing came out...we think...the light in the above appears to come from the south to north which would be down the fire lane headed into the woods and thickets...

BTW...Jake and I stopped and visited with my mother-in-law last night...she was always told those were Indian mounds on the north side close to the highway...

the trash piles of the Indians. If you investigate them you might find just some old bones, shells, broken pottery, and arrowheads. Some middens are quite large.

While we are on the subject of missing items.......

by Lone Wolf

About three weeks ago I "lost" a Leatherman Juice S2 small multi-tool.
I searched high and low, so of course I went out and got another one.
This particular tool is bright orange in color.
My brother came over this morning and we were having coffee early in my family room.
He and I then went to our parents house.
While there my wife called me and asked if the thing I have been looking for is bright orange.
I said yes why, and she said I found it!
When I asked where she found it,she said she found it on the floor in the middle of the family room where just minutes before I was having coffee with my brother!

This happens regularly.
If anyone is interested, I will post some of my experiences from my fist house, which I affectionately refer to as "Motel Hell".

I doubt a BF snatched them unless...

by Monster Hunter

he or it was invisible...

I put the lap top backdoor on the passenger side and took the few steps back to the hood where we loaded the pictures...Jake walked in and got the cameras with me standing/leaning on the jeep in the exact spot we had the lap top...we are pretty good at finding stuff since I've had a ton of practice looking for items I misplace routinely but couldn't find the cards...

We stayed around the house yesterday doing odd jobs and it looks like we may be rained out today so maybe tomorrow weather permitting...then again we may ride down and take a look later...I have more SD cards so if we go we will hang the cameras...

This makes the third weird thing that's happened in the past month...first while Jake walked in to get the cameras I was standing in front of the jeep...heard a loud pop, sounded like a green limb broke, looked up and thought I saw Jake coming...it wasn't Jake...

Same area a week later...the Camera box was open...SD Card was still in the camera with the camera turned off...

Last was the misplacing of the cards and the brush in the lane...Maybe we need to pay closer attention to what we are doing...

I'm not into astrology BUT,,

by SAsquatcher

They are putting a 13th symbol in effective this year, Ophiuchus.
Here is the way it will read.

The New Dates:

Capricorn: Jan. 20 - Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16 - March 11
Pisces: March 11- April 18
Aries: April 18 - May 13
Taurus: May 13 - June 21
Gemini: June 21 - July 20
Cancer: July 20 - Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10 - Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16 - Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30 - Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23 - Nov. 29
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29 - Dec. 17
Sagittarius: Dec. 17 - Jan. 20

I was happily a Gemini, now it turns out I'm a Taurus, my wife always told me I was a little bull headed.
13 symbols seems like bad luck to me anyways.

BOGUS!

by Mike in NC

I think astrology is fine for entertainment - like when (10% of the time or so) it matches what's happening in my life.

Like a sports team, though, I don't want anyone making radical changes to the uniform........ I've always been an Aries and I ain't switchin' just because some new-age druids conjure up a new system!

what kind of creature is Ophiuchus? The illustrations that have emerged portray some sort of heavily muscled person holding on with difficulty to a veritable anaconda in the sky, so I have heard.

4 things I get from THIS segment.(Off the bat).

by SAsquatcher

1, It is Titmus in the beginning!
2, That dog is really set off by what he is seeing (and or smelling)
3, Those tracks Titmus is looking at are fake fake fake!
They show small strides and not the signature "Tight rope walker" type of pattern and they are too blocky and flat.
4,There was a good road in and out of the area, so much for the lie that they had to be airlifted in and out.

Also check out this section of film for the details I am referring to(Also posted up by MK)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIpZ4r4LxP4&feature=related
This is just to name a few, I'm sure the more I look at it the more stuff will jump out at me.

Simple math about the clunker trade in...

by Monster Hunter

Sent to me by a friend...

Clunker Math:

The person who calculated this bit of information is now & has been a professor at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, for the last forty some years. I never looked at the clunker program in this way.

Think of it this way: A clunker that travels 12,000 miles a year at 15 mpg uses 800 gallons of gas a year. A vehicle that travels 12,000 miles a year at 25 mpg uses 480 gallons a year. So, the average Cash for Clunkers transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year. They claim 700,000 vehicles were taken off the road so that's 224 million gallons saved per year. That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil. 5 million barrels is about 5 hours worth of US consumption. More importantly, 5 million barrels of oil at $70 per barrel costs about $350 million dollars So, the government paid $3 billion of our tax dollars to save $350 million.

Bottom line, we spent $8.57 for every dollar we saved.

I'm pretty sure they'll do a great job with our health care, though.

New Fish recipe for you guys

by DonDon

We have ALOT of Crappie in the freezer and always try and find some new way to cook it. We did this last night and OMG it was fine

Tortilla Crusted Crappie with Mexican tomato sauce

6 large Crappie filets
2 cups Crushed Tortilla chips
1 cup Flour
2 eggs (beaten)
1, 16 oz can crushed Tomatoes
3 cloves of Garlic Minced
1 medium Onion, fine dice
Splash white Taquilla
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Chili powder
1 teaspoon Cumin
1 teaspoon Paprika
salt to taste
Pepper to taste
2 Tablespoons Butter
1 heaping Tablespoon Sour Cream
handful of Cilantro chopped
juice and grated peal of 1/2 lemon
2 tablespoons Olive Oil

For the fish
Season fish with Garlic, salt, pepper, Cumin, paprika and chili powder, then Dredge fish in Flour, then in egg wash and then in crushed tortilla chips. Make sure to add Salt, Pepper and abit of the other spices before you dredge fish in them. Preheat Oven to 400 degrees. Put on Cookie sheet that has been sprayed with non stick cooking spray. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until brown.

For Sauce
In a medium skillet, add 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil on medium high heat and saute Onion for 2 minutes, then add Minced Garlic and saute for 2 more minutes. Add Crushed Tomatoes, Taquilla, lemon juice, water, Chili powder, Cumin, Paprika and Cilantro. Cook on stove top for about 10 minutes and set aside until just before the fish is done. Once the fish is a couple minutes out from being done, heat the Sauce back up til it's bubbling.Turn the heat off and add the butter and sour cream, stir til encorporated.

We served it over white rice with Black beans. YUMMMM

The front foot looks similar to a hand without a thumb IMO...the only other animal I can think of that uses its first joint up from the foot for walking and balance is a kangaroo...so we have a striped animal that has something similar to hands as its front feet and uses its back legs something like a kangaroo...

There could possibly be Thylacines living in Australia today in some of their vast wilderness areas...the film itself looks like one...

They should be protected!

by SAsquatcher

If the Wolf is a helpful part of our ecosystem then the Thylacine is certainly a helpful part of Tasmania's in the same way, they keep the smaller rodents and varmints in a controlled state.
If they are proven to exist then they should be bred and released into the wild to their former niche in the ecosystem.

When my sister was in Tasmania, the locals there

by Cindy

all said that there were thylacines in the bush. It was pretty well known. She was there visiting a wildlife rehab place.

Thylacine hole has the carcass of a relatively recent thylacine and at some point in the last century a group of thylacines were released in south Australia, before they were declared "extinct" in Tasmania.

Supposedly the timber industry in Taz is very interested in the thylacine remaining extinct.

Allergies

by M.K.Davis

Animals that develop skin allergies usually die with them, without treatment. The body's own immune system attacks itself. That is the reason the head is tucked beneath the body. It's trying to relieve the itching by rubbing. The emaciation from the affliction can change the looks quite a bit. The long snout should be enough to eliminate primate on this one. That's what I see here. Strange but not unheard of. M.K.

Mangey bear

by Mike in NC

Pics have been posted of juvenile(ish) bears with mange and they look a LOT like what's in the pic you posted.

I don't know enough about bears (or mangey bears) to say it is or isn't a bear (and, therefore, is or is not a monster)..... so I must defer to the bear/monster experts on this one.

Search for mangey bear pics on the web - The legs on those bears look freakishly long when they're not wearing their fur coats.

3 game cameras...34 pictures...

by Monster Hunter

with nothing in them but something unidentifiable...one camera had 25...we broadcast corn in front of two of these cameras...ground clutter torn all to hexx, we couldn't find one grain of corn but not any pictures of what appeared to be coon...one camera was placed on what we thought could have been a make shift bedding area but not any pictures...

The two pictures below were taken in succession...something on the lower left, I have no idea what, with what appears to be bare ground behind like tire tracks or shadows...the second doesn't have anything but the ground is back to normal..apparently the camera was sleeping causing these abnormalities in the first picture...

By the time stamp on the pictures we know they were taken before the bad weather came in and there were not any pictures after the cold front moved in...

We walked quite a bit of the northwest side...

by Monster Hunter

about 4 hours worth finding a trail with a few large impressions but we didn't go into the old bedding area...Jake thought we could after walking in there some time back but he wasn't in the right area...when he saw the briar's he and I decided today wasn't a good day to fight our way through...

Yes I do know it's hard to see but we saw several of these impressions that looked better there then on camera...

[linked image]

Jake found a deer skull so for all those who claim "you" never find bones of wild animals are wrong...as a matter of fact we find bones frequently but not on the side of a road or a walking lane...we find them in the woods...one day we might wander up on some Monster bones...

[linked image]

Something else I find weird were smaller hard wood trees broken at different heights...quite a few in this one area...

[linked image]

Last but not least the game cameras...we mounted three over looking this one area...there is a trail just to the left of where Jake is hanging the camera and the picture gives you some idea how high the cameras are hung...BTW...Jake is still trying to get pictures of deer...after deer season we'll hang them high looking down...

pig and I'm leaning pig...LOL...I really don't know but I can't understand why the cameras didn't work...could be a dreaded haint from hexx causing the cameras to go dead...

BTW Scott...I see what you are talking about but believe it's brush and a tree in the back ground...but bear would certainly explain some of the large impressions we saw on the trail...

The lane we have the cameras set up on is the same area I use to track three Monsters coming from the north side to a feeder we had at the shot gun stand...there has been a few sightings with folks seeing a large dark bipedal Monster(s) cross the then dim road going into and coming from this area...darn spooky place when it's dark...

As a matter of fact one hunter had a stick thrown at him hitting his foot while walking past...others heard what they thought were two hunters walking and talking coming back to camp...Tim while bush hogging the shot gun stand had some bushes violently shaken as he made a pass...when Jake was young something growled at him more then several times...the list goes on and on of strange things occurring around this area over the years...off the top of my head I can think of more then several other hair raising experiences I along with others have had...

Have you thought about,,,

by SAsquatcher

Hanging some cameras up in a similar pattern to this?
The red lines are the line of view and the crimson X is the only blind spot which really might be the best spot to put some kind of bait being that an animal would have to cross the field of view of at least one of the cameras to get to it.
Might be a good spot to put some Chicken livers?

MK did a little work on both of these pictures...the first looks kind of like a leg while the second looks like something hairy...the game cam was hung about three feet high...if we would have had pictures of coon then maybe I would think a coon attacked the camera which I do have pictures of coon on my camera...the picture with the coon...I think the coon climbed the tree as a safety measure other then trying to get its picture taken...

When we had our video system in the bottoms I've seen coons skin up a tree when they would hear or see something coming to the food plot...

The hair on the second picture...I haven't seen a coon this shaggy looking...

Hi MH,

Looks like the legs up to the bittocks. Great pic. More than I got on my new gamecam. I left it out for almost two months, got 33 pictures of some great wildlife but no bigfoot ;(
I had it mounted in a feux rock and something took the front cover of it or maybe it simply dislocated from the prop and blew away.

I think you need 3 or 4 of them

by SAsquatcher

At different levels and possibly aimed either at each other or outwards to cover a 360 degree field of view.
You will either do 1 or 2 things.
1, you'll eventually get a pic.
2, you'll create a dead spot.
I think that the trick is to move them at least a little maybe once a month or so and try to make them as invisible and scent free and sound free as you can.

The more you have in the woods where there is a history of activity, the better your chances are.
Another thing I would do, invest in rechargeable batteries, they may be a bit more expensive at first but in the long run they will save you a bundle on batteries and downtime on the units.

Re: I think you need 3 or 4 of them

by Monster Hunter

As of now we do have three pointed in the direction of each other...set up in a triangle formation about forty feet to the furthest point which is within distance of the cameras capabilities...

We move the cameras weekly most times to different areas...next spot will be a right of way cut north of the pond...we think Monsters hold up in the brush on this north east side...cross this lane headed south...

The batteries on these newer cameras hold up well...we've changed batteries in one in the last three months...hard for me to keep up with all the junk, chargers, I have now...I can't use solar panels for chargers since it's something else hanging that is visible...

All the cameras are painted a flat black...we don't use a scent killer knowing what little scent we leave on the cameras would be minimal compared to scent left from walking the areas...the scent dissipates fairly quickly from the plastic camera enclosures anyway... BTW...two other cameras we have are junk with us not using them at all so I'll either use what I have or may buy another one or two...Stealth has an IR camera on sale now for about 80 bucks which would be okay for food plots and straight trails but I've had some bad dealings with Stealth so I think I'll pass...

Old Bones

Dang it, I had to leave early from an outing sponsored by the TBG due to the changing weather conditions. My bones were a hurtin' bad. We were up in the Kiamichi's for a few days and doing a pretty good job of toughin' it out but I could feel the weather changing in my bones and had to leave a little early.
I don't need a weatherman to tell me which way the wind blows,I can feel it in ma bones. We were hoping a few of the invites would show up but the weather conditions probably had a lot to do with that.

Sighhhhhhhhhh............

by Chuck L

It's supposed to get down in the 40's later this week. I'm supposed to take some Boy Scouts camping the last two weekends this month. I want it to be cold. I sleep better and the bugs leave me alone.

I've threatened to get my as* up to MC. I've been told to come on up by M.H. himself. My wife actually supports me 100% on this. She just wants me out of the house for a week =).

Once the V.A. gives me a clean bill of health I may just try to get out there before it gets too hot. By the grace of God the wife and I landed a great jobs after me being laid off for almost two years. As a bonus my Internet business has taken off as well so finances won't be an issue.

On a totally unrelated topic -- if any of the members have existing websites and want to learn what I did to generate some steady income ask M.H. to forward you my email. I'll give any member here the PDF free of charge. I used the information and turned over $900 in extra income the past two months. It may not be much to some but boy it made a HUGE difference in my home.

I want to pay it forward. There is no follow up "offer". It's one 30-something page report.

Personalities

by SAsquatcher

I have the tendency to think that these animals vary from individual in what they do.
In other words you have some monsters that would almost come up to you and shake your hand, or you have others that would like to rip your arm off and beat you with it!
I think that it all depends on the experiences that these animals have had with humans and rather it is a male or female and if it has been either shot or shot at.
For the most part I think they are more scared of you than you are of them, however, every now and then you will get one who loves to bluff charge or scream or shake trees etc.
My point being that you really cannot base what ALL of these animals do on what has happened in a few areas.
There may be one monster that is rather docile and one that has blood on his or her mind, not trying to scare anybody but it pays to hit the woods with protection handy.
You may not need it but it is better to have it and not need it than the other way around!

That seems to be a common trait,,,

in most animals.
An innate fear of man.
It seems that is hardwired into most animals except for the ones that we have domesticated or the ones that want to eat us and even some of them are kind of wary before moving in for the kill.

I do not think they are scared of humans per say, in the same way a dear is.Of course there are exceptions, say when a hunter has a gun or a researcher is carrying a gun.I think they are taught to stay away from humans, again not the same as a dear or coon.Think about how many reports are out there of hunters seeing them from there stands, or how many times you here of a monster watching a hunter from afar. You are right they have different personalities.I have never been threatened unless you call my March 14 encounter from Clayton co. iowa a threat.(you can read it under clayton co. iowa march 14)What I have found over the last year in my main research area is they love to a)harass me follow me up high when im in the creek bed or down low when i am up high. They knock on trees and I can smell them but they never let me get to close or see them.b)Or they simply go the other way because they are not in the mood for me, even when I bring them treats. The monsters up here are funny. One time 4 years ago I walked up from the river into a tree stand and I got buzzed, i actually got so nervous that I threw up 2 times. My heart started racing and I literaly could not stop shaking.I finaly opened my coat and screamed I mean you no harm and I am not going anywhere. I sat down and ate a granola bar.As I was sitting there about 50 yards to my left they began ripping branches out of a tree 3 times you could hear this big rip and then hear the branches get thrown to the ground. I did not go any closer and they didnt bother me,in other words they went about there business, and I went about mine.I swear to God as my witness this is a true story.I think they are taught to stay away from humans because they do not want to be found out or discovered. If you earn there trust, they will not threaten you, at least up here in my area.

Everyone is in the woods...good for all of you...post what you find or nearly found when you return...Jake and I are hooked up on the shed trying to beat the bad weather coming into our area late afternoon and tomorrow so doubt seriously we'll have time to go...it is satisfying knowing everyone else is out snooping around though and not laying around the house watching TV...

It is funny and sad at the same time

by Doc

...that so many people do not realize what we have here.

As our policy is to not foul our local nest, I have not posted several good reports from non-affliated people but you guys know the truth already. They are HERE. I am convinced we are one of the top ten places (The Big Woods, ie mid southeast OK thru Fouke, Caddo, MC, Sabine to Big thicket)in the country.

Everytime I think about going to Pac MW I ask myself WHY ??? At least I know something about where to look here.

I am going to do a second recon of 12 mile bayou, maybe today. You can go from caddo lake to town in the woods. the guy with the big momma and young last spring is about as credible a report as I have heard.

BTW I recently heard a story of summer family reunion near Mira and a family member was pulled on the ankle by a big dark hand thru open window on porch while sleeping. Family didn't consider it family pranking but Sasquatch. Of course, how far is Fouke from Mira , not far happy.gif

QUESTION: How do these critters cross I-20 (and don't say carefully either wink.gif. This is a huge barrier to their movement. I am looking for a BIG culvert between here and Waskom. There are a few for I49 before Stonewall that I have walked thru. I find little sign at Wallace Lake but more at Bisteneau.

Ideas appreciated

Let me share one last thought and I will cease and desist for a while (and check my Lithium level;-) A lady who was a relative of a reporter said "where do they go in the daytime". I said I DK but shared the standard type answers but it got me to thinking more. Here is a theory. A triangle is the simplest closed geometric figure. With 3 daywatchers in a triangle the rest can sleep practically anywhere and get signalled if humans encroach and they simply re-group and go back to bedding down. This method would allow adaptive sleeping anywhere with impenetrable perimeter.

Yeah Doc...I agree...

by Monster Hunter

Monsters are everywhere down here more so then thought...I use to talk to hunters making it a point to ask if they had seen or heard anything unfamiliar in the woods...most would tell me they hadn't seen anything but have heard unusual whistles and calls...a few hunters who have had sightings will not hunt anymore period or certainly not back in that area...

Something about the Monsters folks need to be aware of...here the reason you couldn't slip up on them...they have hides near all the entries into the property...I would think they would in other areas of activity as well...I have my doubts if anyone could slip up on bedding Monsters...I know I can't...I believe I've jumped them from bedding areas but didn't see them...heard something run off and a few minutes later have something scream at me...

FYI...and a piece of information you may not be aware of...while out and about poking around during the day if you hear something that sounds like a bird stress call and an answer it ain't a bird...

Break is over...back to work...

Since I cant hoof it anymore I've had to come up with a few short cuts. Just bought a canoe and 2.5 hp motor, put er in the river or creek or lake drive to where I want to snoop around. So I've been outfitting to get back in the hunt.

People dont realize the importance of air until you cant enough, I know I didnt.

Think about it..

by D. Fisher

Dave and I can get to places using the small waterways that most cant get to and camp in some of the wildest areas that may have not seen a human in years. We find sign, we make camp for the night simple as that.

Since we do most of our research in Oklahoma we went as far as buying lifetime fishing license for that state. Might as well catch a few along the way.

Our new motto "Make it Happen" and we will.

Even worse than that.,

by SAsquatcher

Are the so called "Experts".
They fuel the skeptics because they don't go into the woods or when they do go in they have these preconceived notions that land them flat on their face and empty handed.

The only way you are going to get any real monster action is if you go looking for it on the monsters terms!
Jim I agree with something you said in an interview a couple of years back "These animals don't have any HBO or Cinemax, we are their HBO", very true.
I think when these "Experts" enter the woods, the monsters look at it more like the comedy channel,,LOL!
We have some folks in our group that I consider to be pretty dang close to REAL experts because they spend time in the woods and find out what these animals do rather than reading a book about them, don't get me wrong, books are good but nothing is better than experience!
What I consider to be a real expert is somebody who gets into the woods and learns what these animals really do first hand rather than relying on what some book says because I can tell you that what these critters do varies from area to area and you can't always use the same tactics and come up with the same results in every area, you have to get the "lay of the land" so to speak.
It's all patience and experience and remaining open and teachable!

Location variations

by D. Fisher

Your right Rick, we have one area that when the monsters seem to only come around is when David is fishing on the bank alone after dark, and I cooked some sort of sausage for supper, and have drove my pickup. We have taken different vehicles, and other people and nothing happens. I've taken my truck and Rachel and nothing happens. I know as funny as it sounds this has been the pattern for this spot.

In another area 250 miles from the above location the monsters love chicken liver and alfalfa hay. I can set these items out and it sounds like a war going on, but only after we have turned in for the night. If anyone stays out to whatch nothing happens and the bait want have been touched.

These critters are perplexing to say the least.

Alfalfa Hay...

by Monster Hunter

We would put out a few blocks at the feeders...in one particular spot we had a tripod stand a hunter saw Monsters crossing the lane on two different occasions during deer season a few years back on the north side...the alfalfa would be eaten and some what scattered at all locations with us thinking common critters were fooling with it...

Alfalfa is hard to find around here and expensive...

Good to hear you had some luck with the alfalfa Darrell...maybe the Monsters were eating more then I thought...

Though we have some bad weather off and on overall here in the south weather does permit us to be out doors this time of year...google an area...National Park, lake, river or creeks...get out and look around a bit...you might be surprised what you find...if nothing else you'll get some exercise...hexx of a lot more to life then sitting around eating and watching TV so get out there and enjoy the out doors...a couple of hours in the woods is excellent mental and physical therapy...ask anyone who does this on a regular basis...

The most relaxing time for me is when I'm in the woods doing nothing but poking around...

Duck bait

I have a developing site on the lake. Hung a dead mallard up in a tree and something snatched it.
The owner of property had a big trap baited with another mallard dusted off completely as if to say "there it is sonny, don't get in it" duck gone and a second trap sprung and duck gone.

This guy has trapped over 50 to 100 coyotes, bobocats, coons etc for a living for awhile.
He thinks as do I we got something else messing with us

Sasquatch in the Canadian News

by Terry

Winnipeg man claims Sasquatch sighting

By LAURIE MUSTARD, QMI Agency

Bigfoot believer Archie Motkaluk shows the sketch he drew from his own personal encounter in Renwer, Man., in 1960. (Laurie Mustard, QMI Agency)

WINNIPEG - After a half century of nightmares, Winnipegger Archie Motkaluk, 70, has finally revealed the secret behind his decades of sleepless nights.

Christmas Day at home on Lipton Street, with all the family around him, Archie brought out a book containing handwritten notes and a drawing of the Sasquatch he had a very up close and personal encounter with back on December 29, 1960. One by one, the family took Archie's book into a room adjoining their dining room, and read details of the day Archie clearly remembers standing face to face, eight feet away from a female Sasquatch in the bush near Swan River, Manitoba, and wondering what was going to happen next.

Home for Christmas from attending school in Winnipeg, Archie was visiting his parents farm near Renwer, Manitoba (south east of Swan River) and had taken a team of horses and the sleigh to go chop some wood three miles or so into the bush back of the farm.

With the horses tied to some nearby brush, axe in hand, 10:30 a.m., Archie was chopping deadfall when about 400 yards across the clearing he was in, he spotted what he believed to be a man slowly heading his way, stopping every few minutes to examine the bushes. Wasn't quite sure what the guy was up to, but by the time the "man" got within a hundred yards or so, Archie realized his visitor was a Sasquatch, who, shortly after, confronted Archie in a manner that left him literally frozen in place till the fear subsided enough for both him and the Sasquatch to take a few steps back.

So why did he wait 50 years to tell his story? Seems Archie was recently watching a television program in which the guest declared there is no such thing as a Sasquatch, and Archie just couldn't let it go. He decided regardless of the outcome, it was time to share his experience.

His description of the event is fascinating, particularly when he details the physical appearance, and behaviour of his somewhat nerve-wracking forest friend.

Archie tells me the only person he ever told of his encounter was his mother upon arriving home that day, who got him to sit down and draw a picture of it, the same picture he displays at the front of his notebook, now featured beside a Sasquatch pic one of his grandchildren got online.

Following the interview with Archie, I called University of Manitoba Science writer Chris Rutkowski, to ask if he was aware of any other Sasquatch sightings reported from the area. He recalled Sasquatch sightings at Easterville in 1968 and 1970, one of them reported by a school principal.

Googling Manitoba Sasquatch sightings I also found another report, this one on video, from March of 2007 near Peguis.

So now, Archie's tale, as with all other reported sightings of Sasquatch/Loch Ness monster type experiences, is yours to believe, or not; dismiss or discuss; mock, or chock up as yet further proof that Sasquatch lives, and walks the woods of Friendly Manitoba.

Game Cameras...

by Monster Hunter

Jake and I went down yesterday to check the game cameras...two of them had a few pictures of slick heads (doe) along with a few coon and crows...I've told him he can't pile the corn...LOL...one camera down an old fire lane leads to the north side creek where I have found a bedding area but refuse to go into because of the briar's being so darn thick...we had quite a few pictures, about 15 to 20 on this camera of a doe and crows and something that was close to the camera...I mean close as in right next to it...so close we can't make heads nor tails out of what it was...

As we were loading the pictures on the computer we first thought it could have been a coon climbing the tree and I guess it could have been but we didn't have any pictures of coon...then thought maybe a deer but even that close we would be able to tell if it was a deer because of the color...BTW...we hang the cameras about three foot up a tree...the time and dates are stamped on the pictures...

First picture is of a deer used for a comparison or reference picture only...one picture, the last one, you'll notice to the right hand side it appears to be a shadow...what ever this was walked by or jumped up on the camera with the camera taking three pictures in succession...I'll post the pictures in order as taken by the camera...

We also found...

what appeared to be a place where something made an over head cover or canopy by pulling smaller trees and weaving them together...didn't look weather related because of the trees being laid over from east to west in this pine thicket...we get little if any wind here from the east...our wind currents are generally from the south west and north during this time of year...there were not any large limbs or trees falling to make this but I do know from experience that weather could be a factor...

I couldn't find my camera so Jake took these with his phone and didn't do a very good job...first picture it appears there is a trail leading to the area...BTW...we set up three game cameras over looking this area...

Looks like fingers,FWIW.
Now rather they are Human fingers or monster fingers I don't know, but, if the cam is 3 feet up it (Could) be a monster walking by the cam bipedal and the camera catching nothing but hand and shadow.
The shadow looks in the shape of a leg with curled fingers hanging as the creature walks by with the cam to it's right.

Clarification and My word on an issue

by Doc

When a poster mentioned "the other group" it made me think. I'll spare you the ennui of my gear ginding smoke emitting thought process but I concluded that I needed to clarify a major issue for those that know me some and perhaps those that don't.

I have never "belonged" to or affiliated strongly with any "group" but GCBRO. Once, long ago, I read some talk of infiltration of groups here and on some reflection, thought 'maybe they mean me,since I'm a new guy'. I told Jim when I joined that I was not particularly interested in shooting one but I wanted to learn all I could.

I toted a pistol on the hunt and did privately also for a long time. I no longer tote a gun based on the report that Freeman didn't start having great events until he did so.

I have moved PERSONALLY even more into a no kill mindset but I respect those on the kill side 100%.
Audobon was that philosophy. I come from a hard science background where like Krantz, this is just the way science does it. If you want to ask me why I softened I would gladly discuss...BUT...

WHAT I want to say here is that I want all my GCBRO friends to know that you ALL have my word as a scientist and doctor (we supposedly have ethics and confidentiality and such) that I will NEVER:

out any GCBRO information that is confidential (and don't want to know anything TOO sensitive anyway)
stand in the way of a kill or kill opportunity
compromise or sabotage the group in any way(that has been so gracious to me from the start)

that is because I like and respect all you folk and I like to dance (read BarBQ)with who brung me

In case anybody didn't know where I stood. You guys were closer to cracking the case in the big hunt than anybody in the worldat that time. If it hadn't been for haynesville shale it woulda problem gone down already !! IMHO. I just don't want to be THE 'ONE SHOT ONE KILL' dude...(now thas funny I don kere who yua are!)

Hey Doc

by SAsquatcher,,,AKA Rick Tullos

My reference to "That other group" was in regards to the "BFRO".
Which I refer to as the BSRO because they seem more interested in making money than actual research.
Sure they have some "BIG NAMES" with them, but some of them are F,O,S!

There is a difference between "No kill" and "Anti Kill",I have been "No Kill" on a personal level in the past, simply meaning that I did not care if I was the trigger man or not.
"Anti Kill" would be more like the BSRO, who views Bigfoot in a "Harry and the Hendersons" kind of light.
Not saying that they all do but the majority does.
These days I am definitely pro kill, simply meaning that I would take the shot if given the opportunity to in the interest of proving to science that these animals do indeed exist.

No Harry & the Hendersons, them!

by RubyRed

Never have believed this critter we affectionately call Bigfoot is a human-type critter. To me--although I can't prove I've seen more than a large something crossing a road in front of car early one morning or shadows hiding behind trees in the woods--they are animals--very cunning animals. It is my opinion that Bigfoot may possess an innate sense of who humans are in the food chain and who they are in the same chain. One day the issues such as habitation, their genus and DNA will be settled--perhaps by observing and analyzing a live capture BUT more likely from dissection of a Bigfoot corpse. I'm not sure where I stand on the dissection issue but I DO KNOW I want to see the mystery solved and my friends vindicated.

Like you, Doc, I'm loyal to my friends on this board and respect their research and their beliefs.

Open to most all

I have relationships with a lot of folks interested in the BF phenomena (groups, groupies, and former groupers...but they are fishy). I understand confidentiality issues and felt the need to address any unspoke questions. On my facebook page a person recently said basically that they didn't exist because some hunter would have shot one by now. I bit my lip and quoted Krantz and thought about what I have learned from my GCBRO friends. I wanted all to know where I stood on things.

In kindergarten we learned 'make new friends and keep the old, one is silver and the other gold'...I liked that one better than "its clean up time" happy.gif

In case anyone ever wondered about my affiliations with anybody else I wanted to be clear about my committment to confidentiality to all BF'ers whatever their philosophy.

Incidently, have had no clear visual yet, althought some fleeting red-brown or dark critter a couple of times at various hot spots. The other night near Mule Haven, i coulda sworn I saw a shadow leaning from behind a tree about 60 yards out. Also definately heard some good wood knocking lately near the lake and heard a double whoop before sundown yesterday. I took a tracking class from Halfpenny's disciple and I am better at it now but I aint plaster casting anything unless it is very clear BEFORE plaster...but I have seen several tracks in leaves and probable trails but with no clear toes it maybe hunters. I will get one to cast soon I'd bet.

Anybody interested in my stuff check out my FB page. Let me know if you can't access the BF stuff. I had it hidden for only BF researchers but somehow I seem to have outed myself. Oh well, maybe friends will call me now if they have an encounter.

I'm curious to know which one of Washington's super dudes was purported to be gay? Greene, Gates, Lee are three of GW's generals that came to mind. Perhaps that's why Washington considered Nathaniel Greene his "right hand man." Ok, I'll shut up now! Blame my badness on being with high school students too much this last week. I have a long-term sub gig I'll be doing until April, 2011.

I think I need a Ghost Hunter...

by Monster Hunter

Petey the poodle looks down the hall barking wildly at times during the day and night when I'm alone sitting at my table pounding on my lap top...at one time I thought the mutt was seeing my shadow down the hall but darkness without any outside light puts a damper on my shadow...I personally haven't noticed anything but my wife woke me up out of a dead sleep telling me she heard dishes rattling in the kitchen...I stumbled into the kitchen thinking it was Jake but no one was there...going back to bed I thanked my wife for waking me up...BTW...I along with my oldest son built our home so it ain't a previous owner ghost...

Yesterday Jake and I are working on the shed...we finish up with him going to his room which is connected to the house but with its own outside entry...my office at one time...darn kids, a man can't have anything...after taking care of some chores I come in and he tells me he could hear Petey the mutt barking and some one calling its name...his room connects to his old bedroom...of course I told him he was nuts but he said he heard what he heard no doubt and it sounded like a woman's voice calling the dog...

Gets worse...my wife's office is an older building we've done quite a bit of work on...my son-in-law and I are enclosing an area for storage/office some time back when we could clearly hear some noise in a corner...he and I look at each other with me walking to this corner which is open from where we are working...nothing but walls with folders/paper/files stacked neatly on a table...none seemed out of place...we went back to work and one of my wife's employees walked into the room which is a large open meeting room that can seat up to 60 folks so it's a big area...I asked her did she drop anything in the connecting room with her telling me no she walked from the front office area to where we were...

Since that time several employees have mentioned hearing something in the large open room and in the executive board room...my wife was in the executive board room doing something yesterday afternoon when she hears a loud sigh right next to her ear...said it scared the day lights out of her...LOL...no she is not or hasn't been interested in ghosts...she tolerates our Monster hunting but enjoys the quiet at home when we are gone to the woods...

Maybe she is taking our ghost here to work or bringing her ghost from work home...LOL...either way makes little difference but my problem is if there is a haint walking my floors at home at night he or she needs to be quiet or it's going to have to get the hexx out...never did like sneaky critters...

I don't think so Rick...

by Monster Hunter

The fog, mist or whatever was huge coming from the ground...that would have been an army of haints...LOL...this at the office happened a year or two after she bought it...the place was nasty with crap piled everywhere...previous owners were a magazine company, eye doctor and an allergy clinic...

Here at home Petey the poodle started randomly barking a couple of months back but I haven't noticed him barking lately...Jake said he was barking when I was still outside yesterday and my wife thought she heard dishes rattling a few nights back...

Jake, Josh and I remodeled the office and we didn't hear or see anything but work...what my son-in-law and I heard was definitely loud enough for us both to stop and look and neither one of us believe in ghosts...other then the Holy Ghost...

I have lived

by Crispy Critter

In some places that had spooky anomalous noises.

Last house - sound like someone was throwing the tv on the floor. Folks would be visiting and their heads would spin....LOL - never find a thing out of place after a crashing sound - but

Books and clothes would just plain vanish for days - doors would lock themselves from the inside - shadows moving around - midnight knocking - rapping on windows - lots of odd stuff. Lots of folks witnessed it too...LOL

House was near an old plantation main house - I just figured I was on some old cemetery. Turned out to also be a civil war battlefield of some note...so who knows.

Good luck getting rid of it!

Things I forgot to mention...

by Monster Hunter

My wife's secretary told me yesterday that Mike, my son-in-law walked into the main office and asked her and my wife, the only two there at the time, if they came up and stood behind him...of course they didn't but Mike claimed he could feel someone looking over his shoulder...

Jake told me yesterday when we were headed to the woods the voice he heard call Petey the poodle sounded like his mothers...

Over the past months, CRS, while watching TV in the bedroom I would swear I heard my mother call my name on several occasions...my mother is still alive at 90...

Okay that brings up another issueq

by RubyRed

IF we are truly living in the last days before the return of Jesus Christ for his believers (and I believe WE ARE) then one of the predictions for this time was that occult/paranormal/supernatural events would be magnified in diverse places. Now, we've got birds falling dead from the sky, fish dying for no apparent reason and a scientist who claims the North Pole has shifted 4 degrees. So, that's why I'm not surprised that something is "messing" with Petey. The ground your house/office stands on is probably haunted ground. AND I also don't believe in human ghosts (dead humans who come back). There is something called demonic impersonation and if you got that you'll need some strong prayers.

Good luck with your spook!

Who ya gonna call...

by

Ghostbusters! Spooky spooky. Well you built the house but the land it sits on may of had a past. Maybe finding out about your property may prove interesting. My property was an army barracks in the 40's. But both my husband and I saw an apparition of a man with short brown hair and wearing an old fashion white shirt with ruffles and he both times was facing north. I saw him during the day outside the house and my husband saw him on the inside at night. He may have been one of those Spanish conquistadors...I live near the beach on the Gulf.
Maybe when Petey gets to barking again grab a camera and start shooting and maybe you might catch a picture. Those ghost hunters use digital tape recorders too for trying to catch an audio response...ask the spook who they are and see if they'll tell you.
I took several pictures of my kitty lying on our couch one night...there were 3 pictures and in the second one was what looked like an orb floating above her...I suppose it could have been a dust particle but it was just in the second picture.
Well if you do have a ghosty it doesn't seem to cause you any harm at least. I wonder if there is a way of using one of your cameras at home to catch the spook.LOL. You never know!

According to an older man his grand parents or their parents...

by Monster Hunter

Owned and had a house somewhere on my place...he asked had I found any jewelry, coins etc the family hid during the Civil War...nope...ain't found a dime but I did cover up a half caved in well because of my children being much younger when we built the home...

I haven't seen or heard anything unusual at all...other then the house creaking from age over the years...the only thing weird is down at my pond...beavers have gnawed down an oak tree twice over the years...I mean down, nothing but a stump but yet the tree has regrown with me trimming limbs last year...I guess if Steve can plant a Christmas tree and get it growing an oak can regrow out of a stump...LOL

To be honest I ain't afraid of a ghost or haint if anything at all is here as long as it leaves me and us alone they're welcome...if it gets a bit hairy then I'll simply burn the house down...that will learn him to not fool with me...LOL

BTW...my wife wants me to set up the digital camera in her office...it doesn't have NV that I can find but my old super 8 does but I'm not staying up at night to change tapes to catch a ghost, a person or a BF...

Have you ever used a metal detector an your property?

by

Sounds like it may be worth a try. I have on mine when I first got my detector...I found some cash that my brother may have lost out of his truck. And there is the old phone lines and the buried coons with arrow tips that I want to avoid uncovering.LOL. There is stuff from the old army barracks that is deep in the ground that my detector can't detect...when my Mom was having the yard cleared of a couple tall pine trees so we could build our home there was a large cable all wrapped around the roots of one pinetree.

That type of spook is called residual energy

by RubyRed

It's the "intelligent" haunt (they call your name, touch you etc) that present the major problems. I firmly believe that our old house in Alief had two kinds of spirits--shadow people who scared the fire out of our dog, me and my son and a guardian (perhaps an angel) they was benign and scared the shadow people out. I was never so glad in my life to move to another home.

you are right to stand your ground because they can't handle it when people do. They hate prayer, loving families, doing right in the eyes of God, speaking about Jesus as Lord of Lords and King of Kings out loud and scripture reading. You are right to stay where you are...they DON'T have any authority over any born-again Christian and the scriptures say they can not harm you.
