Coon on point...by Monster Hunter
Apparently this coon hears or sees something coming...cute looking little rascal that can literally eat you up...
I wonder if he sees what the camera don't.
Like most wild life...by Monster Hunter
They stay alert...if not they won't last long in the wild...I at one time had video of a deer with her two off spring visit one of the feeders...she looked nervous the entire time she was at this feeder...take a bite and go back to being alert...anyone who has watched deer feed can tell when they are relaxed eating or being on watch for predators...
"My Name as it's Called"...by MK Davis...by Monster Hunter
Just gets weirder and weirder...by Monster Hunter
I know I suffer from CRS and I also know Jake is kind of scattered brain at times when it comes to details but we checked our cameras yesterday....quite a few pictures of coon and a few deer...we had this area set up more or less in a triangle formation with the cameras...
Jake gets the SD cards from the cameras...brings them to the jeep and loads them on his lap top...I told him we were moving the cameras to an area we found a broken bush and a huge trail so he walks back to get the cameras...the SD cards were on my jeep when I told him to get the cameras...he walked back to gather the cameras and he and I left the area...I know for fact I would have picked up the SD cards when I put the computer up...apparently they were not there...
We go to the above mentioned area and decide we would scout around a bit...walked a couple of hours up the now dry creek bed and didn't find any heavy used trails and not any creek crossings so we decide we'll hang the cameras down a lane where we along with others have had sightings...took us an hour to cut and remove the brush to get into the area...yes, I believe in driving if at all possible...we finally get to this spot, get a camera out and no SD card...we searched the jeep, all the cameras and of course every pocket we had on us but still nothing...
We drive back to where the cameras were and the last spot we knew the SD cards were...walked the lane, searched all around the cameras without finding one darn card...quite a bit of ground clutter, limbs and leaves, and after about a thirty minute search we gave up in the darkness...driving out, about a three hundred yard drive, and nearing the road there's cut brush, the brush we cut, laying across the lane...
Jake and I have no idea what happened to the cards and when driving out we saw the cut brush in the lane we knew was clean of brush when we drove back in...he and I had no idea just WTH was going on...we drive to the south end to listen a bit and hear the bionic bird back west of us in the area where we just left from searching for the cards...we go back, stay a few minutes with Jake hearing this whistle again which I couldn't hear with him telling me it was north of us...a lesson to be learned...always wear ear protection when firing a weapon...we stayed there about 15 to 20 minutes...quiet...so we decide to drive out...
Now to make heads or tails of this...possibly left the cards on the jeep with them falling off on the lane...though we couldn't find them there was so many leaves and pine straw they could have fallen underneath some of this ground clutter...we'll go back and look again today weather permitting...the cut brush in the lane...it is possible brush was hung under the jeep when we cleared the other lane and came out when we crossed the road headed into the lane...it's either this or we have a darn haint fooling around with us...we do have a couple of weird pictures I'll post later...
Don't feel bad, in a house I used to live in (think Amittyville horror house, seriously), I once searched for my TV remote for days.
I set it down, walked 10 feet to a bathroom, came back one minute later and it was gone.
I found the remote in the freezer!
You also may have water faucets mysteriously turn on, and unexplained electrical malfunctions.
Weird picture...any ideas?...by Monster Hunter
Notice what appears to be a light running up the trunk of the large pine...this was the first picture taken in a series of three...the second doesn't have this light nor do the other random consecutive pictures...may be nothing but flash but it seemed weird since it's only in one picture...BTW...we have no idea what triggered the camera...we do have pictures of coon so it could have been coon walking in and out...I just don't know...

Looks self illuminating to me.........
Maybe MK can tell.
Does to me as well...by Monster Hunter
We have taken thousands of pictures here without any obscure looking light like this caused by IR flash or any flash...
the second picture has what looks like a light colored tree trunk leaning toward the tree on the far right side of the picture. It wasn't in the first picture. Both pictures were taken during the same minute. Go figure.
Did you check the inside of the jeep to see if possibly the cards could have slid down into the seat and onto the floor under the seat? I lose pocket change alot that way. Cards have a small bit of metal on them...I wonder if a metal detector could detect them if they're laying on the ground?
Good eye Nellie...by Monster Hunter
I see what you are talking about...I have no idea what it is but I do see it...
Yes...we looked the jeep over pretty good but couldn't find the cards...it rained all day yesterday so we didn't go down but maybe today we can go down and look around some more...I have no idea what water can do to the SC Cards but I would think they are ruined...I have a few more here somewhere if I can find them...if not...walmart...
Give you a better Idea.
Good job Rick...by Monster Hunter
Now tell me what you see...looks like a flash anomaly IMO but then again we just set the cameras up and by no means know anything about the causes or effects of flash....
Lone Wolf may be able...by Monster Hunter
to tell us what we are looking at...
I scrolled down and looked at Ricks most recent animations over two days.
I do not believe the two linear flashes are camera anomalies.
I cannot definitively say what these are, however I have seen spirit energy do this exact same thing both indoors and outdoors.
Most of the time these flashes occur in the blue spectrum of light, which is why they appear different in flash photos.
In the game cam photos at least to my eye they seem self illuminating which rules out dust, water or bugs.
People send me hundreds of "orb" photos, however very few pass my test for paranormal energy.
Other than fireflies self illumination does not commonly occur in nature on dry land.
I believe the MC area was probably Native American land.
Native American spirits are common and very powerful.
Once while fossil hunting in the mountainous desert area near the CA. AZ. border, I saw a full apparition of an Indian man. The funny thing was when I turned to look at him he seemed very surprised that I could see him!
He vanished by disappearing into the earth when I approached him.
Also a few of my colleagues have been haunted by spirits following the digging up and collection of artifacts such as pottery, jewelry etc.
With all things considered, the missing SD cards, Jim seeing a few things that were not BF and the picture anomalies, this very well could be spirit activity.
Oh Crap!!!by Monster Hunter
Monsters and haints...LOL...bring em on...I ain't scart...well, maybe a little...LOL...
I have no idea if this area was used by NAI but it would make sense since its up on more or less a high spot with the creek within one hundred yards...I have found small pieces of pottery on the lane headed down to the iron bridge after dragging the road with a tractor and blade after a rain...also found a small arrow head the size I've seen used for fishing...
On the north side next to the highway there were some huge mounds claimed to be Indian mounds that were leveled out with a natural gas well and pump station sitting where they were...I enter the property from the east side not knowing anything about this until after the fact...
You can't put a bullet in a ghost!
Better watch it Jim, I know the monsters respect you but,,,,,,,Spooky may not.
Another little oddity in the pictures...by Monster Hunter
There are shadows in a couple of pictures on the right side that shouldn't be there...as a matter of fact it would be impossible for there to be shadows IMO...I'll put them up later...we're headed down to put the game cameras back up and search around for the SD cards...
BTW...I couldn't find the cards I "thought" I had at home so I drove to walmart, bought 3 new cards and 3 new dog food pans...may have to put a game camera up in my dog pen...
Did a fly by.
LOL...Now that would be weird...by Monster Hunter
Has to be something in the flash Rick even though I've never seen anything like this in any other pictures...maybe this thing stole my darn SD Cards...
BTW...the place we had the cameras set up is a spooky place during day light hours...night time...not for people who have the least bit of fear of the dark...less then a quarter of mile of this spot is where I found what I thought was a Monster bedding area...I do firmly believe three younger but nearly grown Monsters bedded up in this area...
I guess Jake and I'll have to tough it out and fight our way back into this place...damn...I hate knowing we have to fight the brush and briar's...maybe next weekend...then again...maybe not...LOL
Over the course of 2 nights.
It looks like a stick being thrown.
The stick is transparent .
I don't know if anyone commented on this in the following posts as I read them quickly, but.......
Pic 1 has the strong light streak at the far left.
Pic 2 has a weak light streak at the far right.
It's easily noted in the 2-frame animation posted further below.
The angle of the 2nd light streak seems to be a mirror image of the first bright light streak.
I can't guess at what the light streaks are, but the faint mirror image is an additional head-scratcher.
-Mike in NC
Something passed through left to right.
sort of in this fashion.
\ ________ /
How quickly does the camera take pictures? 1 per second, 2 per second........1 every 3 seconds? Etc.
Assuming the light in pic 1 is the same light source as in pic 2 (regardless of what is causing the light: natural or unnatural phenomena) - that'd give an idea of the speed of the object/subject.
Also - assuming that the subject is a light streak of some kind, how would a light streak activate a motion sensor?
Is this simply a reflection on the lens caused by a light source passing on the other side of the camera? But.....then.......what triggered the camera to take the pictures?
Too many questions!
-Mike in NC
Camera speed...by Monster Hunter
It's set to take three consecutive pictures and does so within a few seconds...without knowing exactly I would think about three seconds...it could be faster...
I have no idea what caused the camera to activate...we get blanks quite frequently with me thinking wind, sun shining through the trees causing shadows...I do know out of thousands of pictures we've taken over the years I haven't seen light like this in any of them...but then again...anything is possible causing a malfunction in the camera...
Within a 1/4 of a mile Nellie...by Monster Hunter
I saw this fog/mist some years back...Tim saw something similar a few years later...both about the same distance from where the cameras were...we put one camera up yesterday in the same area on the same tree...
This is also the same spot we had a couple of pictures of something we can't recognize...different tree but pointed down the trail where this thing came out...we think...the light in the above appears to come from the south to north which would be down the fire lane headed into the woods and thickets...
BTW...Jake and I stopped and visited with my mother-in-law last night...she was always told those were Indian mounds on the north side close to the highway...
.....oh, wait. BAD idea! We all saw what happened in "Poltergeist"! :-O
-Mike in NC
the trash piles of the Indians. If you investigate them you might find just some old bones, shells, broken pottery, and arrowheads. Some middens are quite large.
After reading your post Lone Wolf...by Monster Hunter
I checked my freezer and the SD cards were not there...LOL
So far and as far as I know there are not any electrical malfunctions nor water faucets turning on but I do misplace items on a daily basis...I contribute the misplacing of items to CRS and not Poltergeist activity...I hope...
in my first post the remote was missing for weeks!
Remote missing...by Monster Hunter
That's just plum weird Lone Wolf...have you had electrical malfunctions or faucets randomly turn on?...
My first house made Amittyville look tame.............
I don't like the things I can't see Lone Wolf...by Monster Hunter
That's a scary thought...if you like share a few experiences with us...
About three weeks ago I "lost" a Leatherman Juice S2 small multi-tool.
I searched high and low, so of course I went out and got another one.
This particular tool is bright orange in color.
My brother came over this morning and we were having coffee early in my family room.
He and I then went to our parents house.
While there my wife called me and asked if the thing I have been looking for is bright orange.
I said yes why, and she said I found it!
When I asked where she found it,she said she found it on the floor in the middle of the family room where just minutes before I was having coffee with my brother!
This happens regularly.
If anyone is interested, I will post some of my experiences from my fist house, which I affectionately refer to as "Motel Hell".
Yes...I'm sure most if not all who visit our forum...by Monster Hunter
would appreciate reading about some of your bizarre experiences Lone Wolf...I know I would...
I would very much like to hear about some of your 'Motel Hell' experiences! Please!
Maybe we can set up some of Monster Hunters orb catching ghost cams.
...it be the "sneakiness" of one of the bigfoot.? Perhaps they fell off during travel and a bigfoot came and snatched them up? Possibly to check them out a bit They are "cleptos" you know
OR, you may have a forest spirit.
I doubt a BF snatched them unless...by Monster Hunter
he or it was invisible...
I put the lap top backdoor on the passenger side and took the few steps back to the hood where we loaded the pictures...Jake walked in and got the cameras with me standing/leaning on the jeep in the exact spot we had the lap top...we are pretty good at finding stuff since I've had a ton of practice looking for items I misplace routinely but couldn't find the cards...
We stayed around the house yesterday doing odd jobs and it looks like we may be rained out today so maybe tomorrow weather permitting...then again we may ride down and take a look later...I have more SD cards so if we go we will hang the cameras...
This makes the third weird thing that's happened in the past month...first while Jake walked in to get the cameras I was standing in front of the jeep...heard a loud pop, sounded like a green limb broke, looked up and thought I saw Jake coming...it wasn't Jake...
Same area a week later...the Camera box was open...SD Card was still in the camera with the camera turned off...
Last was the misplacing of the cards and the brush in the lane...Maybe we need to pay closer attention to what we are doing...
I hot feed my dogs daily...by Monster Hunter
which means I use hot water, dry dog food and a few cans of dog food to feed them every morning...In my bigger pen I have four labs that I feed in separate food pans...a few days back while feeding in this pen I could only find two pans...looked everywhere...this pen is about a thirty by one hundred ft., I keep the grass mowed so the pen other then a couple of saw horses and 4X4's is completely clean and visible...Yesterday when feeding I was determined to find the pans...I checked in and under the dog boxes and even looked under the self feeders and still no pans...walked the perimeter and back and forth across the pen...fed this morning and looked again...the pans have disappeared...
I'm hard headed and don't give in easily but for the life of me I can't find two of the food pans...that ain't CRS either...maybe blind but not CRS...
First SD cards now dog pans, anybody who has been to your house knows you live a few miles from MC and out in an open area so I know the monsters didn't take your pans, otherwise it would have taken the dogs too!
The Items are getting bigger Jim, next you are gonna lose your truck and then forget where you live,,LOL.
You are gonna have to keep Jake or Josh with you just so you can find your way home!
Just raggin on ya, I know you would do the same for me,,LOL!
My mind is going bad Rick...by Monster Hunter
That's why Jake and I go together so he can keep me from getting lost...and when it quits raining I'm going to try and find those darn dog food pans again...if they're not there then something got them or the dogs ate them...I can't blame anyone in the house since I'm the only one who feeds...
After reading your post Rick I might better stay indoors...LOL...I ain't that damn old though...I'd come closer to getting lost in a walmart parking lot then I would in these woods...
You'd better send Jake to walmart for em,,LOL.
I have the SD Cards here Rick...by Monster Hunter
Somewhere...I just looked through one of my cabinets...no SD Cards but I ain't giving up that easy...they're here I know for fact...
Dogs have a way of getting things stuck in odd places - then get distracted and forget about them. Kind of like me......
The 4x4's are...by Monster Hunter
on top of the saw horses...the saw horses are about three feet tall...maybe they were playing Frisbee with the pans and sailed them over the other fence...I have other pans but liked these pans since they were not easy to turn over and would hold the right amount of food...
I know that may sound a little dumb but while feeding sometimes, not paying attention, I over or under feed...when the pan is full I know I did a good job of feeding...LOL...BTW...I have 7 labs in my pens and 7 beagles so It's not like feeding a house dog...they need proper protein and fat to stay in good hunting shape and be able to withstand the cold damp weather...at one time I fed the Monsters good to...LOL...they have to hustle for something to eat since I quit...I might have to start feeding again...

I was happily a Gemini, now it turns out I'm a Taurus, my wife always told me I was a little bull headed.
13 symbols seems like bad luck to me anyways.
Me either Rick but...by Monster Hunter
I went from Pisces to Aquarius...ain't that a heck of a note...
You stayed in the water,,,LOL.
I landed in the BULL.

I think astrology is fine for entertainment - like when (10% of the time or so) it matches what's happening in my life.
Like a sports team, though, I don't want anyone making radical changes to the uniform........ I've always been an Aries and I ain't switchin' just because some new-age druids conjure up a new system!

That's right Mike...hold your ground...by Monster Hunter
Personally I haven't paid any attention to astrology...maybe I should?...
This new tragic state of astrological events only effects folks born after 2009 - or so that is what I have heard. So I think everyone can breath easy and move on to something that might actually have an impact on your life...LOL
As my Grandfather always said, that's a bunch of "Who Shot John".
THEY can change things but I ain't. I'll stick with my Scorpio.
That puts me as a Capricorn. I don't wanna be a capricorn. I liked being an Aquarius thank you very much!!! I'm not changing. I never was one to follow the rules. To me they are more like guidelines. LOL
Signing off.... Aquarius in Oklahoma
Just wondering who "THEY" are and do I even agree with them.
I'll stick with the old system, worked fine for me.
I always will be a Scorpio.
I don't know who they are but I couldn't find them in the phone book!
The Huffington post.
One source of many.
Just Google it.
and happy to remain one. Why are they doing this? Is it a conspiracy against Astrology. Oh well, since I DON'T believe in that astrology nonsense, life gones on!
I was not consulted on this decision. Who and/or what is an Ophiuchus? What is the symbol?
Who exactly is Ophiuchus?
what kind of creature is Ophiuchus? The illustrations that have emerged portray some sort of heavily muscled person holding on with difficulty to a veritable anaconda in the sky, so I have heard.

2, That dog is really set off by what he is seeing (and or smelling)
3, Those tracks Titmus is looking at are fake fake fake!
They show small strides and not the signature "Tight rope walker" type of pattern and they are too blocky and flat.
4,There was a good road in and out of the area, so much for the lie that they had to be airlifted in and out.
Also check out this section of film for the details I am referring to(Also posted up by MK)

Simple math about the clunker trade in...by Monster Hunter
Sent to me by a friend...
The person who calculated this bit of information is now & has been a professor at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, for the last forty some years. I never looked at the clunker program in this way.
Think of it this way: A clunker that travels 12,000 miles a year at 15 mpg uses 800 gallons of gas a year. A vehicle that travels 12,000 miles a year at 25 mpg uses 480 gallons a year. So, the average Cash for Clunkers transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year. They claim 700,000 vehicles were taken off the road so that's 224 million gallons saved per year. That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil. 5 million barrels is about 5 hours worth of US consumption. More importantly, 5 million barrels of oil at $70 per barrel costs about $350 million dollars So, the government paid $3 billion of our tax dollars to save $350 million.
Bottom line, we spent $8.57 for every dollar we saved.
I'm pretty sure they'll do a great job with our health care, though.
...the government new of these calculations? Sounds like a ruse to boost the car industry. Afterall, they have their stinky little claws in GM and other automobile manufacturers. Sometimes it seems like they have an agenda.
Yes...I believe they knew...by Monster Hunter
but I also think they didn't care...just another knucklehead move by morons that can't themselves get a credit card...as a matter of fact I was shocked to see how many elected officials have crappy credit and owe the IRS with some owing huge sums...yeah that's exactly what we need...people who cannot handle their own financial affairs making financial decisions that has an effect on us all...
didn't care about it. The plan is in operation and some people have refused to open their eyes to what's happening but fortunately most on this board can not be counted in the "ignoramus" group!
The government IS all-wise and all-knowing. They know what's best for Americans and they intend to give it to us while stripping us of every right and every bit of money they can. We now live, and it PAINS to say this, in an eliteist state where the many produce for the few! GOD HELP AMERICA! If this gets my name added to an enemies list, SO BE IT! I am no longer able to stand silently by and watch what's going down the tubes because what's disappearing is everything I cared about!
We have ALOT of Crappie in the freezer and always try and find some new way to cook it. We did this last night and OMG it was fine
Tortilla Crusted Crappie with Mexican tomato sauce
6 large Crappie filets
2 cups Crushed Tortilla chips
1 cup Flour
2 eggs (beaten)
1, 16 oz can crushed Tomatoes
3 cloves of Garlic Minced
1 medium Onion, fine dice
Splash white Taquilla
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Chili powder
1 teaspoon Cumin
1 teaspoon Paprika
salt to taste
Pepper to taste
2 Tablespoons Butter
1 heaping Tablespoon Sour Cream
handful of Cilantro chopped
juice and grated peal of 1/2 lemon
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
For the fish
Season fish with Garlic, salt, pepper, Cumin, paprika and chili powder, then Dredge fish in Flour, then in egg wash and then in crushed tortilla chips. Make sure to add Salt, Pepper and abit of the other spices before you dredge fish in them. Preheat Oven to 400 degrees. Put on Cookie sheet that has been sprayed with non stick cooking spray. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until brown.
In a medium skillet, add 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil on medium high heat and saute Onion for 2 minutes, then add Minced Garlic and saute for 2 more minutes. Add Crushed Tomatoes, Taquilla, lemon juice, water, Chili powder, Cumin, Paprika and Cilantro. Cook on stove top for about 10 minutes and set aside until just before the fish is done. Once the fish is a couple minutes out from being done, heat the Sauce back up til it's bubbling.Turn the heat off and add the butter and sour cream, stir til encorporated.
We served it over white rice with Black beans. YUMMMM

Interesting MK...by Monster Hunter
The front foot looks similar to a hand without a thumb IMO...the only other animal I can think of that uses its first joint up from the foot for walking and balance is a kangaroo...so we have a striped animal that has something similar to hands as its front feet and uses its back legs something like a kangaroo...
There could possibly be Thylacines living in Australia today in some of their vast wilderness areas...the film itself looks like one...
If the Wolf is a helpful part of our ecosystem then the Thylacine is certainly a helpful part of Tasmania's in the same way, they keep the smaller rodents and varmints in a controlled state.
If they are proven to exist then they should be bred and released into the wild to their former niche in the ecosystem.
How cool would that be...by Monster Hunter
Drive the out back and see a Thylacine...
all said that there were thylacines in the bush. It was pretty well known. She was there visiting a wildlife rehab place.
Thylacine hole has the carcass of a relatively recent thylacine and at some point in the last century a group of thylacines were released in south Australia, before they were declared "extinct" in Tasmania.
Supposedly the timber industry in Taz is very interested in the thylacine remaining extinct.
A lot of folks say Bear but that just doesn't jive with the anatomy of the subject in question.
According to MK...by Monster Hunter
and from the work he has done it looks like a couple of bears...
Is in anyway built like this,,,,.
Animals that develop skin allergies usually die with them, without treatment. The body's own immune system attacks itself. That is the reason the head is tucked beneath the body. It's trying to relieve the itching by rubbing. The emaciation from the affliction can change the looks quite a bit. The long snout should be enough to eliminate primate on this one. That's what I see here. Strange but not unheard of. M.K.
It was just being playful.
Sorry bro but I'm still unconvinced.
IYO Rick...what do you see?...by Monster Hunter
MO is just that...MO...
Very primate like but that's all it is just MO.
Not trying to argue with anybody but just honestly telling what I see, as you guys are telling what you guys see.
I've never seen a Bear built that way but if others on this board have then I'll settle for that.
I do agree it's weird looking creatures Rick...by Monster Hunter
I kind of accepted what has been said without really knowing...
Poor thing should be put out of it's misery.

So we can cuss and discuss...well, not cuss...
That was NOT meant as sarcasm, you have well proven yourself in my book and I do hold your opinion in the highest regard.
"You have been and always shall be my friend"!
When you live in bear country you see poor gimly a$$ed animals like that a lot.
The head is tucked beneath the body and is upside down. If you cut it out and flip it around it is easier to see the face. M.K.
It looks to long in the arms and legs for a bear.
I am not trying to make this a monster but at the same time it does not follow the proportions of a bear.
I know what a bear looks like and that ain't it.
I don't know for sure what it is but I have a pretty good idea of what it ain't.
Pics have been posted of juvenile(ish) bears with mange and they look a LOT like what's in the pic you posted.
I don't know enough about bears (or mangey bears) to say it is or isn't a bear (and, therefore, is or is not a monster)..... so I must defer to the bear/monster experts on this one.
Search for mangey bear pics on the web - The legs on those bears look freakishly long when they're not wearing their fur coats.

Here is a more definitive observation:
3 game cameras...34 pictures...by Monster Hunter
with nothing in them but something unidentifiable...one camera had 25...we broadcast corn in front of two of these cameras...ground clutter torn all to hexx, we couldn't find one grain of corn but not any pictures of what appeared to be coon...one camera was placed on what we thought could have been a make shift bedding area but not any pictures...
The two pictures below were taken in succession...something on the lower left, I have no idea what, with what appears to be bare ground behind like tire tracks or shadows...the second doesn't have anything but the ground is back to normal..apparently the camera was sleeping causing these abnormalities in the first picture...
By the time stamp on the pictures we know they were taken before the bad weather came in and there were not any pictures after the cold front moved in...
We walked quite a bit of the northwest side...by Monster Hunter
about 4 hours worth finding a trail with a few large impressions but we didn't go into the old bedding area...Jake thought we could after walking in there some time back but he wasn't in the right area...when he saw the briar's he and I decided today wasn't a good day to fight our way through...
Yes I do know it's hard to see but we saw several of these impressions that looked better there then on camera...
Jake found a deer skull so for all those who claim "you" never find bones of wild animals are wrong...as a matter of fact we find bones frequently but not on the side of a road or a walking lane...we find them in the woods...one day we might wander up on some Monster bones...
Something else I find weird were smaller hard wood trees broken at different heights...quite a few in this one area...
Last but not least the game cameras...we mounted three over looking this one area...there is a trail just to the left of where Jake is hanging the camera and the picture gives you some idea how high the cameras are hung...BTW...Jake is still trying to get pictures of deer...after deer season we'll hang them high looking down...
I think you got yourself a black bear - or something....LOL - dead straight in

pig and I'm leaning pig...LOL...I really don't know but I can't understand why the cameras didn't work...could be a dreaded haint from hexx causing the cameras to go dead...
BTW Scott...I see what you are talking about but believe it's brush and a tree in the back ground...but bear would certainly explain some of the large impressions we saw on the trail...
The lane we have the cameras set up on is the same area I use to track three Monsters coming from the north side to a feeder we had at the shot gun stand...there has been a few sightings with folks seeing a large dark bipedal Monster(s) cross the then dim road going into and coming from this area...darn spooky place when it's dark...
As a matter of fact one hunter had a stick thrown at him hitting his foot while walking past...others heard what they thought were two hunters walking and talking coming back to camp...Tim while bush hogging the shot gun stand had some bushes violently shaken as he made a pass...when Jake was young something growled at him more then several times...the list goes on and on of strange things occurring around this area over the years...off the top of my head I can think of more then several other hair raising experiences I along with others have had...
BTW...a friend emailed me saying he could see an...by Monster Hunter
alien...LOL...of course he was kidding but when looking at dark pictures that are not clear we can "almost" see anything...
Hanging some cameras up in a similar pattern to this?
The red lines are the line of view and the crimson X is the only blind spot which really might be the best spot to put some kind of bait being that an animal would have to cross the field of view of at least one of the cameras to get to it.
Might be a good spot to put some Chicken livers?

they dug up a 9 ft tall skeleton in Maine some years back that still had red hair on it's skull...Someone with no CRS, like CC, do you remember what I'm speaking about. One of the Christian ministers I listen to mentioned it in one of his sermons--he called it a "giant" too.
Any ideas...by Monster Hunter
MK did a little work on both of these pictures...the first looks kind of like a leg while the second looks like something hairy...the game cam was hung about three feet high...if we would have had pictures of coon then maybe I would think a coon attacked the camera which I do have pictures of coon on my camera...the picture with the coon...I think the coon climbed the tree as a safety measure other then trying to get its picture taken...
When we had our video system in the bottoms I've seen coons skin up a tree when they would hear or see something coming to the food plot...
The hair on the second picture...I haven't seen a coon this shaggy looking...
first LL a neck and clavicle
second LL hairy mammal...maybe one of em!!
As of now Doc...I'm stumped...by Monster Hunter
I can't picture in my mind what the above could be and I've even thought Monster...only thing I would bet on as of now would be coon but then again I don't really think it's a coon...

Looks like the legs up to the bittocks. Great pic. More than I got on my new gamecam. I left it out for almost two months, got 33 pictures of some great wildlife but no bigfoot ;(
I had it mounted in a feux rock and something took the front cover of it or maybe it simply dislocated from the prop and blew away.
At different levels and possibly aimed either at each other or outwards to cover a 360 degree field of view.
You will either do 1 or 2 things.
1, you'll eventually get a pic.
2, you'll create a dead spot.
I think that the trick is to move them at least a little maybe once a month or so and try to make them as invisible and scent free and sound free as you can.
The more you have in the woods where there is a history of activity, the better your chances are.
Another thing I would do, invest in rechargeable batteries, they may be a bit more expensive at first but in the long run they will save you a bundle on batteries and downtime on the units.
Re: I think you need 3 or 4 of themby Monster Hunter
As of now we do have three pointed in the direction of each other...set up in a triangle formation about forty feet to the furthest point which is within distance of the cameras capabilities...
We move the cameras weekly most times to different areas...next spot will be a right of way cut north of the pond...we think Monsters hold up in the brush on this north east side...cross this lane headed south...
The batteries on these newer cameras hold up well...we've changed batteries in one in the last three months...hard for me to keep up with all the junk, chargers, I have now...I can't use solar panels for chargers since it's something else hanging that is visible...
All the cameras are painted a flat black...we don't use a scent killer knowing what little scent we leave on the cameras would be minimal compared to scent left from walking the areas...the scent dissipates fairly quickly from the plastic camera enclosures anyway... BTW...two other cameras we have are junk with us not using them at all so I'll either use what I have or may buy another one or two...Stealth has an IR camera on sale now for about 80 bucks which would be okay for food plots and straight trails but I've had some bad dealings with Stealth so I think I'll pass...

You have to be prepared for the bad cold weather coming in the next few days...I'm getting some cold rain with the temperature around 34 degrees and dropping with this system headed east/north east...
The weather man, the only person who gets paid for being wrong on a continuous basis, reported ice and snow this afternoon and tonight...it shouldn't stick since the ground is warm with the temperature getting above freezing...but last night on the news it was reported the power company called in more men just in case the ice causes damage to the power lines...

Dang it, I had to leave early from an outing sponsored by the TBG due to the changing weather conditions. My bones were a hurtin' bad. We were up in the Kiamichi's for a few days and doing a pretty good job of toughin' it out but I could feel the weather changing in my bones and had to leave a little early.
I don't need a weatherman to tell me which way the wind blows,I can feel it in ma bones. We were hoping a few of the invites would show up but the weather conditions probably had a lot to do with that.

I've threatened to get my as* up to MC. I've been told to come on up by M.H. himself. My wife actually supports me 100% on this. She just wants me out of the house for a week =).
Once the V.A. gives me a clean bill of health I may just try to get out there before it gets too hot. By the grace of God the wife and I landed a great jobs after me being laid off for almost two years. As a bonus my Internet business has taken off as well so finances won't be an issue.
On a totally unrelated topic -- if any of the members have existing websites and want to learn what I did to generate some steady income ask M.H. to forward you my email. I'll give any member here the PDF free of charge. I used the information and turned over $900 in extra income the past two months. It may not be much to some but boy it made a HUGE difference in my home.
I want to pay it forward. There is no follow up "offer". It's one 30-something page report.

I have the tendency to think that these animals vary from individual in what they do.
In other words you have some monsters that would almost come up to you and shake your hand, or you have others that would like to rip your arm off and beat you with it!
I think that it all depends on the experiences that these animals have had with humans and rather it is a male or female and if it has been either shot or shot at.
For the most part I think they are more scared of you than you are of them, however, every now and then you will get one who loves to bluff charge or scream or shake trees etc.
My point being that you really cannot base what ALL of these animals do on what has happened in a few areas.
There may be one monster that is rather docile and one that has blood on his or her mind, not trying to scare anybody but it pays to hit the woods with protection handy.
You may not need it but it is better to have it and not need it than the other way around!
One personality trait the Monsters have here...by Monster Hunter
Stay away from humans...don't walk in front of cameras hanging on trees...I believe all of them have these traits in their personalities...
in most animals.
An innate fear of man.
It seems that is hardwired into most animals except for the ones that we have domesticated or the ones that want to eat us and even some of them are kind of wary before moving in for the kill.
I do not think they are scared of humans per say, in the same way a dear is.Of course there are exceptions, say when a hunter has a gun or a researcher is carrying a gun.I think they are taught to stay away from humans, again not the same as a dear or coon.Think about how many reports are out there of hunters seeing them from there stands, or how many times you here of a monster watching a hunter from afar. You are right they have different personalities.I have never been threatened unless you call my March 14 encounter from Clayton co. iowa a threat.(you can read it under clayton co. iowa march 14)What I have found over the last year in my main research area is they love to a)harass me follow me up high when im in the creek bed or down low when i am up high. They knock on trees and I can smell them but they never let me get to close or see them.b)Or they simply go the other way because they are not in the mood for me, even when I bring them treats. The monsters up here are funny. One time 4 years ago I walked up from the river into a tree stand and I got buzzed, i actually got so nervous that I threw up 2 times. My heart started racing and I literaly could not stop shaking.I finaly opened my coat and screamed I mean you no harm and I am not going anywhere. I sat down and ate a granola bar.As I was sitting there about 50 yards to my left they began ripping branches out of a tree 3 times you could hear this big rip and then hear the branches get thrown to the ground. I did not go any closer and they didnt bother me,in other words they went about there business, and I went about mine.I swear to God as my witness this is a true story.I think they are taught to stay away from humans because they do not want to be found out or discovered. If you earn there trust, they will not threaten you, at least up here in my area.
Few posts must mean...by Monster Hunter
Everyone is in the woods...good for all of you...post what you find or nearly found when you return...Jake and I are hooked up on the shed trying to beat the bad weather coming into our area late afternoon and tomorrow so doubt seriously we'll have time to go...it is satisfying knowing everyone else is out snooping around though and not laying around the house watching TV...
...that so many people do not realize what we have here.
As our policy is to not foul our local nest, I have not posted several good reports from non-affliated people but you guys know the truth already. They are HERE. I am convinced we are one of the top ten places (The Big Woods, ie mid southeast OK thru Fouke, Caddo, MC, Sabine to Big thicket)in the country.
Everytime I think about going to Pac MW I ask myself WHY ??? At least I know something about where to look here.
I am going to do a second recon of 12 mile bayou, maybe today. You can go from caddo lake to town in the woods. the guy with the big momma and young last spring is about as credible a report as I have heard.
BTW I recently heard a story of summer family reunion near Mira and a family member was pulled on the ankle by a big dark hand thru open window on porch while sleeping. Family didn't consider it family pranking but Sasquatch. Of course, how far is Fouke from Mira , not far
QUESTION: How do these critters cross I-20 (and don't say carefully either . This is a huge barrier to their movement. I am looking for a BIG culvert between here and Waskom. There are a few for I49 before Stonewall that I have walked thru. I find little sign at Wallace Lake but more at Bisteneau.
Let me share one last thought and I will cease and desist for a while (and check my Lithium level;-) A lady who was a relative of a reporter said "where do they go in the daytime". I said I DK but shared the standard type answers but it got me to thinking more. Here is a theory. A triangle is the simplest closed geometric figure. With 3 daywatchers in a triangle the rest can sleep practically anywhere and get signalled if humans encroach and they simply re-group and go back to bedding down. This method would allow adaptive sleeping anywhere with impenetrable perimeter.
Yeah Doc...I agree...by Monster Hunter
Monsters are everywhere down here more so then thought...I use to talk to hunters making it a point to ask if they had seen or heard anything unfamiliar in the woods...most would tell me they hadn't seen anything but have heard unusual whistles and calls...a few hunters who have had sightings will not hunt anymore period or certainly not back in that area...
Something about the Monsters folks need to be aware of...here the reason you couldn't slip up on them...they have hides near all the entries into the property...I would think they would in other areas of activity as well...I have my doubts if anyone could slip up on bedding Monsters...I know I can't...I believe I've jumped them from bedding areas but didn't see them...heard something run off and a few minutes later have something scream at me...
FYI...and a piece of information you may not be aware of...while out and about poking around during the day if you hear something that sounds like a bird stress call and an answer it ain't a bird...
Break is over...back to work...
Since I cant hoof it anymore I've had to come up with a few short cuts. Just bought a canoe and 2.5 hp motor, put er in the river or creek or lake drive to where I want to snoop around. So I've been outfitting to get back in the hunt.
People dont realize the importance of air until you cant enough, I know I didnt.
Sounds like how we have to scout down here D! Lol
No wind makes it tough on a man Darrell...by Monster Hunter
But you made a way to go...I admire a man who does that...shows me you have that burning curiosity like I and few have...good for you my man...what we need is others out and about looking around...I'd much rather be in the woods then sitting around watching television...
One reason skeptics are skeptical....they sit on that arse, write long winded posts about something they don't know a damn thing about...and I mean nothing...to be honest I think most skeptics are afraid of the dark...LOL...they don't want Monsters to exist...
Dave and I can get to places using the small waterways that most cant get to and camp in some of the wildest areas that may have not seen a human in years. We find sign, we make camp for the night simple as that.
Since we do most of our research in Oklahoma we went as far as buying lifetime fishing license for that state. Might as well catch a few along the way.
Our new motto "Make it Happen" and we will.
Are the so called "Experts".
They fuel the skeptics because they don't go into the woods or when they do go in they have these preconceived notions that land them flat on their face and empty handed.
The only way you are going to get any real monster action is if you go looking for it on the monsters terms!
Jim I agree with something you said in an interview a couple of years back "These animals don't have any HBO or Cinemax, we are their HBO", very true.
I think when these "Experts" enter the woods, the monsters look at it more like the comedy channel,,LOL!
We have some folks in our group that I consider to be pretty dang close to REAL experts because they spend time in the woods and find out what these animals do rather than reading a book about them, don't get me wrong, books are good but nothing is better than experience!
What I consider to be a real expert is somebody who gets into the woods and learns what these animals really do first hand rather than relying on what some book says because I can tell you that what these critters do varies from area to area and you can't always use the same tactics and come up with the same results in every area, you have to get the "lay of the land" so to speak.
It's all patience and experience and remaining open and teachable!
Your right Rick, we have one area that when the monsters seem to only come around is when David is fishing on the bank alone after dark, and I cooked some sort of sausage for supper, and have drove my pickup. We have taken different vehicles, and other people and nothing happens. I've taken my truck and Rachel and nothing happens. I know as funny as it sounds this has been the pattern for this spot.
In another area 250 miles from the above location the monsters love chicken liver and alfalfa hay. I can set these items out and it sounds like a war going on, but only after we have turned in for the night. If anyone stays out to whatch nothing happens and the bait want have been touched.
These critters are perplexing to say the least.
Alfalfa Hay...by Monster Hunter
We would put out a few blocks at the feeders...in one particular spot we had a tripod stand a hunter saw Monsters crossing the lane on two different occasions during deer season a few years back on the north side...the alfalfa would be eaten and some what scattered at all locations with us thinking common critters were fooling with it...
Alfalfa is hard to find around here and expensive...
Good to hear you had some luck with the alfalfa Darrell...maybe the Monsters were eating more then I thought...
cattle cubes scattered out.
I've tried the cattle cubes...by Monster Hunter
several times in different locations without any noticeable luck...
I've known for years that chicken liver is like candy to these critters. Can't hardly resist it!
Chicken Livers...by Monster Hunter
I haven't tried chicken livers...beef, deer and hog but not chicken...Use to fry up some fish/sausage years back...I've seen tongue marks across the bottom my pan nearly the width of my hand...If I put the lid on the pan they wouldn't fool with it...
That's why I love this forum, the exchange of notes and info!
Chicken liver was the catch all, if you were not being specific to species.
Even beat out Sardines and Tuna for Bobcats.
They remember you by smell - like a dog, or any other critter for that matter.
David likes to fish, that boy will sit in the hot sun all day roasting.
By night fall he's pretty ripe!! This is why I always cary a spare tent. LOL
we roll right into Duck Hunting after Deer Season. When that is over we will get back into the deep woods.
i'm just now getting some rest after Duck Hunting alot with my boy over the holiday break from school.
We've got some things we are working on as a Monkee Project that might get finished by March if the weather holds.
Deer season in most states...closed...by Monster Hunter
Though we have some bad weather off and on overall here in the south weather does permit us to be out doors this time of year...google an area...National Park, lake, river or creeks...get out and look around a bit...you might be surprised what you find...if nothing else you'll get some exercise...hexx of a lot more to life then sitting around eating and watching TV so get out there and enjoy the out doors...a couple of hours in the woods is excellent mental and physical therapy...ask anyone who does this on a regular basis...
The most relaxing time for me is when I'm in the woods doing nothing but poking around...
you either had a couple of bird dogs or a pack of beagles do hunt with right after deer season.
i still see rabbit chasers now and then, but quail hunters are almost extinct. i personally don't know anyone who even has a bird dog anymore.
Few quail but a bunch of rabbits...by Monster Hunter
The bird hunters I know have money and I mean a lot of it to lease areas in west and south Texas...some lease property in Oklahoma as well...
But I do know quite a few beagle owners...as a matter of fact I let mine out to run the rabbits in my yard...I'd take them to MC and run them if there wasn't so many folks coming and going...
I have a developing site on the lake. Hung a dead mallard up in a tree and something snatched it.
The owner of property had a big trap baited with another mallard dusted off completely as if to say "there it is sonny, don't get in it" duck gone and a second trap sprung and duck gone.
This guy has trapped over 50 to 100 coyotes, bobocats, coons etc for a living for awhile.
He thinks as do I we got something else messing with us
Winnipeg man claims Sasquatch sighting
By LAURIE MUSTARD, QMI Agency
Bigfoot believer Archie Motkaluk shows the sketch he drew from his own personal encounter in Renwer, Man., in 1960. (Laurie Mustard, QMI Agency)
WINNIPEG - After a half century of nightmares, Winnipegger Archie Motkaluk, 70, has finally revealed the secret behind his decades of sleepless nights.
Christmas Day at home on Lipton Street, with all the family around him, Archie brought out a book containing handwritten notes and a drawing of the Sasquatch he had a very up close and personal encounter with back on December 29, 1960. One by one, the family took Archie's book into a room adjoining their dining room, and read details of the day Archie clearly remembers standing face to face, eight feet away from a female Sasquatch in the bush near Swan River, Manitoba, and wondering what was going to happen next.
Home for Christmas from attending school in Winnipeg, Archie was visiting his parents farm near Renwer, Manitoba (south east of Swan River) and had taken a team of horses and the sleigh to go chop some wood three miles or so into the bush back of the farm.
With the horses tied to some nearby brush, axe in hand, 10:30 a.m., Archie was chopping deadfall when about 400 yards across the clearing he was in, he spotted what he believed to be a man slowly heading his way, stopping every few minutes to examine the bushes. Wasn't quite sure what the guy was up to, but by the time the "man" got within a hundred yards or so, Archie realized his visitor was a Sasquatch, who, shortly after, confronted Archie in a manner that left him literally frozen in place till the fear subsided enough for both him and the Sasquatch to take a few steps back.
So why did he wait 50 years to tell his story? Seems Archie was recently watching a television program in which the guest declared there is no such thing as a Sasquatch, and Archie just couldn't let it go. He decided regardless of the outcome, it was time to share his experience.
His description of the event is fascinating, particularly when he details the physical appearance, and behaviour of his somewhat nerve-wracking forest friend.
Archie tells me the only person he ever told of his encounter was his mother upon arriving home that day, who got him to sit down and draw a picture of it, the same picture he displays at the front of his notebook, now featured beside a Sasquatch pic one of his grandchildren got online.
Following the interview with Archie, I called University of Manitoba Science writer Chris Rutkowski, to ask if he was aware of any other Sasquatch sightings reported from the area. He recalled Sasquatch sightings at Easterville in 1968 and 1970, one of them reported by a school principal.
Googling Manitoba Sasquatch sightings I also found another report, this one on video, from March of 2007 near Peguis.
So now, Archie's tale, as with all other reported sightings of Sasquatch/Loch Ness monster type experiences, is yours to believe, or not; dismiss or discuss; mock, or chock up as yet further proof that Sasquatch lives, and walks the woods of Friendly Manitoba.
Thanks T...by Monster Hunter
I do understand where the man is coming from...these scientists who sit on that arse behind a computer have no idea what we have walking the forests of North America...
I'm a firm believer in not attempting to convince folks...let them read and do their own investigation to decide...

Pretty darn neat...by Monster Hunter
Beats attaching a camera to your hat hoping it's pointed where you are looking...hands free video...
Is that the camera is only 3 mega pixels.
That and it doesn't come in clip ons for those of us that need our regular glasses as well.
You're right Rick...by Monster Hunter
I don't need glasses to see other then to turn the darn thing off and on...bet the frames could be fitted with your prescription though...let us know when you have this done...
What stops me from buying a pair...by Monster Hunter
Shipping...$19.98 for ground...LOL...if I did buy I would lose them in a week...
They will start selling them in academy or Bass Pro or maybe even wally world.
Hopefully they will come down on price too.
It seems a bit steep for a 3 mp camera in my book.
If there is a demand...by Monster Hunter
All the sports/hunting stores will have them...if I hunted game birds and animals I might be inclined to invest in a pair...you could video the hunt without having a camera man making noise around you or trying to video yourself with a camcorder...
Game Cameras...by Monster Hunter
Jake and I went down yesterday to check the game cameras...two of them had a few pictures of slick heads (doe) along with a few coon and crows...I've told him he can't pile the corn...LOL...one camera down an old fire lane leads to the north side creek where I have found a bedding area but refuse to go into because of the briar's being so darn thick...we had quite a few pictures, about 15 to 20 on this camera of a doe and crows and something that was close to the camera...I mean close as in right next to it...so close we can't make heads nor tails out of what it was...
As we were loading the pictures on the computer we first thought it could have been a coon climbing the tree and I guess it could have been but we didn't have any pictures of coon...then thought maybe a deer but even that close we would be able to tell if it was a deer because of the color...BTW...we hang the cameras about three foot up a tree...the time and dates are stamped on the pictures...
First picture is of a deer used for a comparison or reference picture only...one picture, the last one, you'll notice to the right hand side it appears to be a shadow...what ever this was walked by or jumped up on the camera with the camera taking three pictures in succession...I'll post the pictures in order as taken by the camera...
We also found...by Monster Hunter
what appeared to be a place where something made an over head cover or canopy by pulling smaller trees and weaving them together...didn't look weather related because of the trees being laid over from east to west in this pine thicket...we get little if any wind here from the east...our wind currents are generally from the south west and north during this time of year...there were not any large limbs or trees falling to make this but I do know from experience that weather could be a factor...
I couldn't find my camera so Jake took these with his phone and didn't do a very good job...first picture it appears there is a trail leading to the area...BTW...we set up three game cameras over looking this area...
If you happen to be out there one night after dark you might want to have Jake walk by that camera up close and then compare the pictures to these.
It is something, but I sure don't know what.
Looks like fingers,FWIW.
Now rather they are Human fingers or monster fingers I don't know, but, if the cam is 3 feet up it (Could) be a monster walking by the cam bipedal and the camera catching nothing but hand and shadow.
The shadow looks in the shape of a leg with curled fingers hanging as the creature walks by with the cam to it's right.
MK did some work on the darkest picture...False colors...by Monster Hunter
Kind of looked like a leg or an arm...by Monster Hunter
But whatever it is it is next to the camera...Maybe MK has some time to work with this picture...when Jake and I worked with it we could see some light to the right hand side behind the object...
I wanted to mention that a high resolution scan of frame 352 is now available for free on the artistfirst website. Go to this week's files and at the bottom is a link to download this research grade image. It usually takes about ten minutes with a high speed connection to the internet. It's about 50 megs. Go to artistfirst.com and click on "Bigfoot Central" and then scroll down. It's a ways down but well worth running down. M.K.
The best I've seen...by Monster Hunter
I loaded the frame Tuesday night during the show...took a few minutes but worth the time IMO...
When a poster mentioned "the other group" it made me think. I'll spare you the ennui of my gear ginding smoke emitting thought process but I concluded that I needed to clarify a major issue for those that know me some and perhaps those that don't.
I have never "belonged" to or affiliated strongly with any "group" but GCBRO. Once, long ago, I read some talk of infiltration of groups here and on some reflection, thought 'maybe they mean me,since I'm a new guy'. I told Jim when I joined that I was not particularly interested in shooting one but I wanted to learn all I could.
I toted a pistol on the hunt and did privately also for a long time. I no longer tote a gun based on the report that Freeman didn't start having great events until he did so.
I have moved PERSONALLY even more into a no kill mindset but I respect those on the kill side 100%.
Audobon was that philosophy. I come from a hard science background where like Krantz, this is just the way science does it. If you want to ask me why I softened I would gladly discuss...BUT...
WHAT I want to say here is that I want all my GCBRO friends to know that you ALL have my word as a scientist and doctor (we supposedly have ethics and confidentiality and such) that I will NEVER:
out any GCBRO information that is confidential (and don't want to know anything TOO sensitive anyway)
stand in the way of a kill or kill opportunity
compromise or sabotage the group in any way(that has been so gracious to me from the start)
that is because I like and respect all you folk and I like to dance (read BarBQ)with who brung me
In case anybody didn't know where I stood. You guys were closer to cracking the case in the big hunt than anybody in the worldat that time. If it hadn't been for haynesville shale it woulda problem gone down already !! IMHO. I just don't want to be THE 'ONE SHOT ONE KILL' dude...(now thas funny I don kere who yua are!)
You're top notch in my book Doc...by Monster Hunter
No one that I know has said anything about you not being a loyal member or a stand up type of man...It's good to have members out actually searching for answers...BTW...I don't carry a weapon at all...to darn lazy to tote one around...I make Jake carry one simply because I ain't real sure the Monsters are afraid of him but we haven't had any experience where we thought we were in some type of danger...they have harassed him for years but lately nothing we know of...
I think you are right about harvest here but possibly will never know since the Haynesville Shale drilling...

My reference to "That other group" was in regards to the "BFRO".
Which I refer to as the BSRO because they seem more interested in making money than actual research.
Sure they have some "BIG NAMES" with them, but some of them are F,O,S!
There is a difference between "No kill" and "Anti Kill",I have been "No Kill" on a personal level in the past, simply meaning that I did not care if I was the trigger man or not.
"Anti Kill" would be more like the BSRO, who views Bigfoot in a "Harry and the Hendersons" kind of light.
Not saying that they all do but the majority does.
These days I am definitely pro kill, simply meaning that I would take the shot if given the opportunity to in the interest of proving to science that these animals do indeed exist.
Never have believed this critter we affectionately call Bigfoot is a human-type critter. To me--although I can't prove I've seen more than a large something crossing a road in front of car early one morning or shadows hiding behind trees in the woods--they are animals--very cunning animals. It is my opinion that Bigfoot may possess an innate sense of who humans are in the food chain and who they are in the same chain. One day the issues such as habitation, their genus and DNA will be settled--perhaps by observing and analyzing a live capture BUT more likely from dissection of a Bigfoot corpse. I'm not sure where I stand on the dissection issue but I DO KNOW I want to see the mystery solved and my friends vindicated.
Like you, Doc, I'm loyal to my friends on this board and respect their research and their beliefs.
I have relationships with a lot of folks interested in the BF phenomena (groups, groupies, and former groupers...but they are fishy). I understand confidentiality issues and felt the need to address any unspoke questions. On my facebook page a person recently said basically that they didn't exist because some hunter would have shot one by now. I bit my lip and quoted Krantz and thought about what I have learned from my GCBRO friends. I wanted all to know where I stood on things.
In kindergarten we learned 'make new friends and keep the old, one is silver and the other gold'...I liked that one better than "its clean up time"
In case anyone ever wondered about my affiliations with anybody else I wanted to be clear about my committment to confidentiality to all BF'ers whatever their philosophy.
Incidently, have had no clear visual yet, althought some fleeting red-brown or dark critter a couple of times at various hot spots. The other night near Mule Haven, i coulda sworn I saw a shadow leaning from behind a tree about 60 yards out. Also definately heard some good wood knocking lately near the lake and heard a double whoop before sundown yesterday. I took a tracking class from Halfpenny's disciple and I am better at it now but I aint plaster casting anything unless it is very clear BEFORE plaster...but I have seen several tracks in leaves and probable trails but with no clear toes it maybe hunters. I will get one to cast soon I'd bet.
Anybody interested in my stuff check out my FB page. Let me know if you can't access the BF stuff. I had it hidden for only BF researchers but somehow I seem to have outed myself. Oh well, maybe friends will call me now if they have an encounter.

First, I want to clarify that I'm not gay but my boyfriend might be.
but there was a documentary the other day that George Washington's right hand general (I don't know how they determined this) WAS gay.

BTW check out my new buds on Dual Survivor this year
I'm curious to know which one of Washington's super dudes was purported to be gay? Greene, Gates, Lee are three of GW's generals that came to mind. Perhaps that's why Washington considered Nathaniel Greene his "right hand man." Ok, I'll shut up now! Blame my badness on being with high school students too much this last week. I have a long-term sub gig I'll be doing until April, 2011.

I think I need a Ghost Hunter...by Monster Hunter
Petey the poodle looks down the hall barking wildly at times during the day and night when I'm alone sitting at my table pounding on my lap top...at one time I thought the mutt was seeing my shadow down the hall but darkness without any outside light puts a damper on my shadow...I personally haven't noticed anything but my wife woke me up out of a dead sleep telling me she heard dishes rattling in the kitchen...I stumbled into the kitchen thinking it was Jake but no one was there...going back to bed I thanked my wife for waking me up...BTW...I along with my oldest son built our home so it ain't a previous owner ghost...
Yesterday Jake and I are working on the shed...we finish up with him going to his room which is connected to the house but with its own outside entry...my office at one time...darn kids, a man can't have anything...after taking care of some chores I come in and he tells me he could hear Petey the mutt barking and some one calling its name...his room connects to his old bedroom...of course I told him he was nuts but he said he heard what he heard no doubt and it sounded like a woman's voice calling the dog...
Gets worse...my wife's office is an older building we've done quite a bit of work on...my son-in-law and I are enclosing an area for storage/office some time back when we could clearly hear some noise in a corner...he and I look at each other with me walking to this corner which is open from where we are working...nothing but walls with folders/paper/files stacked neatly on a table...none seemed out of place...we went back to work and one of my wife's employees walked into the room which is a large open meeting room that can seat up to 60 folks so it's a big area...I asked her did she drop anything in the connecting room with her telling me no she walked from the front office area to where we were...
Since that time several employees have mentioned hearing something in the large open room and in the executive board room...my wife was in the executive board room doing something yesterday afternoon when she hears a loud sigh right next to her ear...said it scared the day lights out of her...LOL...no she is not or hasn't been interested in ghosts...she tolerates our Monster hunting but enjoys the quiet at home when we are gone to the woods...
Maybe she is taking our ghost here to work or bringing her ghost from work home...LOL...either way makes little difference but my problem is if there is a haint walking my floors at home at night he or she needs to be quiet or it's going to have to get the hexx out...never did like sneaky critters...
You had that weird mist episode at MC?
Maybe you brought something from MC back with you?
I don't think so Rick...by Monster Hunter
The fog, mist or whatever was huge coming from the ground...that would have been an army of haints...LOL...this at the office happened a year or two after she bought it...the place was nasty with crap piled everywhere...previous owners were a magazine company, eye doctor and an allergy clinic...
Here at home Petey the poodle started randomly barking a couple of months back but I haven't noticed him barking lately...Jake said he was barking when I was still outside yesterday and my wife thought she heard dishes rattling a few nights back...
Jake, Josh and I remodeled the office and we didn't hear or see anything but work...what my son-in-law and I heard was definitely loud enough for us both to stop and look and neither one of us believe in ghosts...other then the Holy Ghost...
In some places that had spooky anomalous noises.
Last house - sound like someone was throwing the tv on the floor. Folks would be visiting and their heads would spin....LOL - never find a thing out of place after a crashing sound - but
Books and clothes would just plain vanish for days - doors would lock themselves from the inside - shadows moving around - midnight knocking - rapping on windows - lots of odd stuff. Lots of folks witnessed it too...LOL
House was near an old plantation main house - I just figured I was on some old cemetery. Turned out to also be a civil war battlefield of some note...so who knows.
Good luck getting rid of it!
Me personally...by Monster Hunter
I haven't experienced anything unusual but then again small noises don't get my attention...I guess if I heard something like a TV being slammed to the floor that would wake me up out of my stupor...LOL
Come to think of it...I have misplaced a few items the past few months but think that is common among us that suffer with CRS...
Game Cameras in my home...LOL...by Monster Hunter
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would use a game camera indoors...but I did charge the digital camera last night...Monster Hunter/Ghost Hunter...LMAO...can't get any video or stills of a Monster maybe I can catch a ghost on film...
Things I forgot to mention...by Monster Hunter
My wife's secretary told me yesterday that Mike, my son-in-law walked into the main office and asked her and my wife, the only two there at the time, if they came up and stood behind him...of course they didn't but Mike claimed he could feel someone looking over his shoulder...
Jake told me yesterday when we were headed to the woods the voice he heard call Petey the poodle sounded like his mothers...
Over the past months, CRS, while watching TV in the bedroom I would swear I heard my mother call my name on several occasions...my mother is still alive at 90...
IF we are truly living in the last days before the return of Jesus Christ for his believers (and I believe WE ARE) then one of the predictions for this time was that occult/paranormal/supernatural events would be magnified in diverse places. Now, we've got birds falling dead from the sky, fish dying for no apparent reason and a scientist who claims the North Pole has shifted 4 degrees. So, that's why I'm not surprised that something is "messing" with Petey. The ground your house/office stands on is probably haunted ground. AND I also don't believe in human ghosts (dead humans who come back). There is something called demonic impersonation and if you got that you'll need some strong prayers.
Good luck with your spook!
Ghostbusters! Spooky spooky. Well you built the house but the land it sits on may of had a past. Maybe finding out about your property may prove interesting. My property was an army barracks in the 40's. But both my husband and I saw an apparition of a man with short brown hair and wearing an old fashion white shirt with ruffles and he both times was facing north. I saw him during the day outside the house and my husband saw him on the inside at night. He may have been one of those Spanish conquistadors...I live near the beach on the Gulf.
Maybe when Petey gets to barking again grab a camera and start shooting and maybe you might catch a picture. Those ghost hunters use digital tape recorders too for trying to catch an audio response...ask the spook who they are and see if they'll tell you.
I took several pictures of my kitty lying on our couch one night...there were 3 pictures and in the second one was what looked like an orb floating above her...I suppose it could have been a dust particle but it was just in the second picture.
Well if you do have a ghosty it doesn't seem to cause you any harm at least. I wonder if there is a way of using one of your cameras at home to catch the spook.LOL. You never know!
According to an older man his grand parents or their parents...by Monster Hunter
Owned and had a house somewhere on my place...he asked had I found any jewelry, coins etc the family hid during the Civil War...nope...ain't found a dime but I did cover up a half caved in well because of my children being much younger when we built the home...
I haven't seen or heard anything unusual at all...other then the house creaking from age over the years...the only thing weird is down at my pond...beavers have gnawed down an oak tree twice over the years...I mean down, nothing but a stump but yet the tree has regrown with me trimming limbs last year...I guess if Steve can plant a Christmas tree and get it growing an oak can regrow out of a stump...LOL
To be honest I ain't afraid of a ghost or haint if anything at all is here as long as it leaves me and us alone they're welcome...if it gets a bit hairy then I'll simply burn the house down...that will learn him to not fool with me...LOL
BTW...my wife wants me to set up the digital camera in her office...it doesn't have NV that I can find but my old super 8 does but I'm not staying up at night to change tapes to catch a ghost, a person or a BF...
Sounds like it may be worth a try. I have on mine when I first got my detector...I found some cash that my brother may have lost out of his truck. And there is the old phone lines and the buried coons with arrow tips that I want to avoid uncovering.LOL. There is stuff from the old army barracks that is deep in the ground that my detector can't detect...when my Mom was having the yard cleared of a couple tall pine trees so we could build our home there was a large cable all wrapped around the roots of one pinetree.
Yes I have Nellie...by Monster Hunter
A few months back we were checking the property boundaries...couldn't even find a metal boundary marker...darn surveyors to darn cheap to put a metal stake in the ground...I hope Don uses metal stakes to mark property lines...

It's the "intelligent" haunt (they call your name, touch you etc) that present the major problems. I firmly believe that our old house in Alief had two kinds of spirits--shadow people who scared the fire out of our dog, me and my son and a guardian (perhaps an angel) they was benign and scared the shadow people out. I was never so glad in my life to move to another home.
I ain't going to move RR...by Monster Hunter
To hard headed and I ain't scared of any ghost...if it's a demon then it has no hold on me or my family so it can pack its grip and move on to someone else who is not a born again christian...
you are right to stand your ground because they can't handle it when people do. They hate prayer, loving families, doing right in the eyes of God, speaking about Jesus as Lord of Lords and King of Kings out loud and scripture reading. You are right to stay where you are...they DON'T have any authority over any born-again Christian and the scriptures say they can not harm you. They can try to scare you but I wish them luck trying to scare you...you're a Vietnam veteran. You face more scare over there and survived.
Why don't you email Jason Hawes or Grant Wilson; I bet they'd love to combine a ghost hunt with an outing to MC to meet your Bigfoot creatures there...LOL
RR mentioned Honey Bear below...by Monster Hunter
One of the first persons I spoke with about BF, an older lady, called them Honey Bears as well...stole her chickens and fruit from her trees...told me she shot at one. 12 gauge with bird shot, for attempting to get into her smoke house...
This lady had a fenced yard with countless dogs that would go under the house when these "Honey Bears" showed up...said she saw them from different sizes and also said they walked like a dog at times...she didn't know the term quadruped...
One of her sons now retired from a job in Dallas lives close to the old house telling me he hasn't ever seen anything unusual but has heard what he described as a baby crying in the woods at night several times...across the road a man's dog was killed with only his head left inside a chained collar...no drag marks or impressions in the taller grass but he didn't look around other then where the dog was chained...
told me that it was either his friend or his aunt living in East Texas who cussed those Honey Bears for stealing fruit off her trees and killing her chickens. He had no idea that HBs were most probably Bigfoot but because of me he's very interested in the topic now. His very bright son Nathan loves hearing stories and talking/asking questions and they really enjoy looking at this web site when they visit.
BTW if you ever go to a trade show or to places where guns, crafts and other items are sold, check to see if my friend Wendell is there. He's the finest pencil sketch artist you will ever meet. A good man and friend!
I know it's from that other group but it is certainly much larger than a 6 ft human.
This is the "Marble mountain footage".
It is an interesting report...by Monster Hunter
The nest or bedding area...the one large tree I saw was pulled over and broken...could be weather related...the limbs depending on how rotten the wood could be broken by man with this person building a shelter...what is unusual was the fire pit...did a Sasquatch build a fire pit?...or did a person build this pit to use later?... unlikely a Sasquatch did build this fire pit so man comes back into the picture...Sasquatch has no known need for fire...
The beast itself...the conical shaped head could be caused by wearing a jacket with a hood...there is some video when it turns sideways and then to its back it does appear to be a back pack...the person taking the video said he could hear this Sasquatch screaming but it was not picked up on his recorder but yet we hear the people talking...he also claimed he saw this entity jumping up and down...I missed that...
Size...hard to determine unless the person walked the exact path...arm length and gait looks man like IMO...using its arms for balance...we all do that...touching its head then with both hands doesn't make this a Sasquatch...
750+ yards we know is quite a distance to record with a consumer video recorder to determine that it is a Sasquatch or man...close to 3/8's to 1/2 mile away...
IMO...it is an interesting report/video but as you can see...skeptics can shoot holes in this video...if they would have found corresponding tracks, maybe some scat or bones of something eaten then we can strongly assume this was a Sasquatch...the video, the distance is to far away...the narration is from a believer and the person walking on the mountain ridge is hardly convincing since there is no certainty he walked the exact steps as the individual in the video...
But thanks for the report Rick...by Monster Hunter
As mentioned it is interesting...
I always love to throw the "cat amongst the pigeons" so to speak.
At 750 yards, you couldn't tell the difference between a sasquatch and a herford cow LOL!
This MAN'S arms are not below his knees, he has rather long legs, and he's wearing a hip-length jacket that is unbuttoned/unzipped. He's walking on his heels with short strides to keep from slipping down the steep grade. Do you think that a sasquatch would walk this way?
The only thing I'm waiting for is the results of the call-blasting they did that night LOL!
Dude in a backpack.
Arm length was normal human.
Stride all wrong.
At first I went back and forth on this. I just did survival school with Dave Canterbury and we made structures and hooches like this. We had em all over the woods near Simsboro and I wondered what some BF researcher would think if they found it. So it could easily be IMO a guy out practicing such skills. The humanoid could be a guy with a light weight backpack. BUT as they did the follow up height comparison I became MUCH more impressed with the potential of the video.
Let me also mention that on the 4 day survival class, I and my brother both independently heard woodknocks and I got a nice whoop about 4:30 AM coming back from standing guard over the quail pen...along with sounds of something moving obliquely thru the brush to the northeast.
This was 5 miles north of I20 at Simsboro
Does anybody know much about Corney Lake and Middle Fork Bottom boogers, David and I are soon to take mules and canoes etc for expedition...suggestions would be appreciated.
and his dual survival show. I often wonder if the survival guys have ever had any BF encounters.
Has Dave? Anyway on the show if it wasn't for his hunting skills the bush hippie would be eating plants and grubs.
For those of you not familiar with Dave Canterbury he has a lot of You Tube videos to look at.
Les Stroud the survivalist was in a tent in Alaska one time and said,"as crazy as this sounds I'm hearing grunts that sound like a gorilla"!
Just curious if any one here knows of any survival personality sightings, post them here.
I first asked Cody Lundin, thinking any BF would surely consider a barefoot human at least "enlightened" if not kindred, but he respectfully indicated that he had not had any encounters but seemed open about it.
Dave, on the other and...when I finally got around to popping the question, said, "Its bs...all bs !!"
So I changed the subject. He's a nice down to earth guy though who is not that affected by the tv thing.
Now the tracking instructor Joe Kellum, disciple of Dr Halfpenny, the famous tracker told me privately that his buddy found a set of tracks that...(you know the rest, typical story, followed them a long way etc). So I sent him my finds and all he asked me was what was the stride and I told him a little over five feet. So I think Joe is keeping his eyes and mind a little more open now.
As they say, "Believing is seeing"
He definately can do "the deal" in real life. He talked openly toward the end about the producers always trying to get them to do stupid but sensational stuff, like burn out a tree trunk for a canoe or cross a swamp, or rob a beehive etc.
Cody Lundin has a nice disclaimer on his website that "its TV and not always what we would really do".
But Dave (who is actually a world champ primitive archer) can make a bow in short order and go get a furry mammal for real.
One of the coolest thing I learned was getting water from the big vines. I had no idea it was that much and better than evian.

Cameras were okay yesterday...by Monster Hunter
But still not any pictures of deer...coon and a few stray dogs...The camera that was open was in good working condition so we moved it to a different location but have plans on putting it back up in a few days to a week...this time we will take a ladder, try to conceal and hang it high hopefully out of sight...it's tough to conceal the camera in a pine thicket without trimming some limbs needed to hide the system... but as a friend of mine would say..."figure it out."
You said you could only delete the pics if you hook the camera up with your laptop...so the camera is not capable of deleting? My trailcam has the option to delete pics.
No pictures were on the camera Nellie...by Monster Hunter
We have Moultrie Cameras using an SD Card...the pictures are saved to the SD Card only...we can set the cameras to save to the camera I think but we have always used SD Cards...It's easier for us to remove the card, replace it and then check the card at the truck instead of walking through the woods toting a lap top or bringing the cameras back to the truck...
You can pop the SD card in the hand held cam and delete or view on the view screen.
Better than hauling a laptop around with you.
If I had younger eyes...by Monster Hunter
If I did that Rick Jake would have to tell me what we had on camera...it's not a big deal for us to take a lap top...
I keep forgetting we ain't spring chickens anymore Jim.
Oh, I can still see fine Rick...by Monster Hunter
But can see a lot better when reading or looking at pictures with my glasses on...
Yeah I guess a bigger screen is a little better.
Maybe one day they will invent a portable viewer about the size of an iPad just for that purpose.
my science mentor actually encouraged crazy brainstorming and this is about half way between a goof and an idea...
I am thinking I need to get some disposable cameras and cock them with flash ready (that may be my problem) and hang them from limb with tape rubbed in bacon over the lens.
Booger smells, touches, sniffs, peels tape and accidently shoots pic. Hopefully with lens facing himself
OK tell me I'm crazy...how can we get him to shoot himself ?
(besides demeaning him and telling him depressing stuff)
Maybe wipe the camera down after it is set up, and if disturbed dust it for prints to see if it is animal or human?
Just a thought.....
I've tried that with the PVC feeders Lone Wolf ...by Monster Hunter
But couldn't get any prints though it appeared there were finger marks on the feeder...If you know how this can be done please let me know and I'll give it a whirl...thanks for reminding me since I didn't think about doing this with the cameras...
Come to think of it...the cameras are all painted flat black and may be easier to pull prints from if this happens again...probably need to buy me one of those Dick Tracy finger print kits...LOL

MH, what happened to the finger printing brush, powder and lifting tape I gave you? You didn't use it up finger printing people at partys did you?

Lost it in some of my junk scattered throughout my house and shed...I'm cleaning my shed which will take me a month or two but probably will find it saving the cash needed for an official "Dick Tracy Finger Print Kit."

Just to weird...by Monster Hunter
Jake went down to check the cameras this afternoon calling me telling me one of the cameras was opened but the SD card was still in the slot...there were not any pictures...a camera being opened and not stolen in itself is weird...we mount our cameras on trails and yes someone could find them if they're walking trails on private property without knowing when and what time we will come in...we do have oil field workers in and out but I haven't seen any of them other then around the wells or driving...
To open the camera there is a wing nut that has to be unscrewed to open the box up which surprises me that anyone would open the camera box...why would anyone do this?...Jake reset the camera and left it there...something we haven't been getting are pictures of deer other then a couple of young yearlings on all our cameras...maybe they're not moving or at least where we have the cameras...
The other weird thing...there was tin foil torn and scattered around in the corn we put out on the trail...about as thick as a cheap tin pan according to Jake...
Set up a game cam - then set up another cam pointing at the first came - then set up a game cam pointing at the 2nd game cam - and then set up a game cam pointing at the 3rd game cam - etc. etc. etc.
.....until you have a circle of cams covering each other's "six".
Of course this will simply create a dead-zone into which no squatch will ever set foot in again, but at least they won't be able to monkey with your gear!
-Mike in NC
If it happens again...by Monster Hunter
We will put up a circle of game cameras but up high over looking the complete area...I have no idea why the camera was open and tin foil was scattered in the corn...I can understand a person pranking with the camera but would think this person would have stolen it...the tin foil is mind boggling IMHO...
This is the same area, within one hundred yards, I heard a limb snap and thought I saw Jake coming back to the truck but yet it wasn't Jake...what ever I saw was lighter in color and about the same height therefor my thinking it was Jake...next time I'll pay closer attention and yes this has happened before...There is or was a Monster at the shot gun stand that would do this on occasion...
break a limb or tree to get my attention...during our BBQ a few years back the oil field folks were fracking a well which is a loud process...as I was looking around my feeder I heard a loud crack and saw a Monster...
This area is covered with scrapes and rubs but in several weeks we've only gotten a few pictures of young deer...next time we go down, probably Monday, I plan on taking a few items to place around to see if we can determine what is in there...Monsters like green and red bottles, balls and apparently green water cans...
Is there are no pictures. Who or what ever did it would have had their picture taken, unless they came up to the camera from behind. In which case they had to know it was there first.
Or - if they erased the card - oil worker out there doing something he shouldn't be doing? Smoking a fattie on the job and noticed his picture was taken?
I would think it is a person rather than a monster. A monster wouldn't know to turn the latch......
The camera is clearly visible...by Monster Hunter
walking up the trail north but it's not around or close to any well...the person would have to randomly stop on the main road...walk in over one hundred yards on a trail where there are many, find the camera, open it up, turn it off and scatter tin foil on the corn...believe it or not I think person myself but can't understand why they didn't take the camera...
BTW...these trails where we have the cameras are in a pine thicket and neither Jake or I have noticed any tin foil around...

Monsters watch, monsters learn?
If they can imitate animal calls and manipulate their environment to create markers, whose to say they can't watch you playing with the cam and then (apparently knowing NOT to walk in front of one) simply approach the cam from the side or back and play with it themselves?
(if it were me, I would have set up the game cam - forget to close/secure the cover, and walk off - lol)
-Mike in NC
No you wouldn't Mike...LOL...by Monster Hunter
Nor would I though I have walked back to make sure especially with video cameras...
Monkey see monkey do: Could possibly a monster learn how to turn the latch from watching MH doing it? Aluminum foil: a monster could have found some left behind from a worker's lunch and disposed of the debris where they knew someone would find it?
that a worker may have gotten himself caught smoking one and deleted the pictures. They didn't want the camera...they just wanted to eliminate evidence.
I think it's funny that they didn't close the latch when they were done with their deed and left it open like that.
Without a card reader or lap top...by Monster Hunter
the pictures cannot be deleted from the SD card with the camera alone...we usually take a computer with us but we also have spare SD cards for each camera...
That would be a lot more handy.
many "stories" of opening gates, opening feed storage's, jars etc......If you wish to believe everything you hear.....ha....... but with having kids nothing surprises me anymore..........
Trespasser erstwhile deerslayer who grabbed some jiffypop at the store to bait his little plot?!
Could have been a trespasser Doc...by Monster Hunter
With Jake running him off before he took the camera but a thief eating Jiffy Pop, LMAO, wouldn't have opened it IMO...
Wouldn't be surprised if you had Hobo Joe living out there trying to keep a low profile.
We all know that these critters live much more right up under our noses than the rest of the world.
think about it...the most adaptive place for a Bigfoot to live is next door to Tom biscardi or some such.
The second best is to forage near where homeless hobos and winos live. Think about it.
Everbody blows off sightings that COULD be homeless etc.
I just interview a very credible commercial fisherman who saw a big momma and young on 12 mile bayou IN TOWN about 5 am...near where a community of homeless live under the 12 mile bayou bridge.
It is a very adaptive strategy for foraging and furtiveness.
I get you but I am thinking about my absent minded prof style of doing stuff...
I would have been hauling it out to the deer woods ...suddenly realized I forgot my deer corn...stopped at the four corners 169 and colquitt...grabbed the first thing deer would eat (a jiffy pop dealy) dashed on to the woods, opened and slung it ...waited waited...haul tail because here comes somebody (Jake)who probably would shoot me (especially if I's tall

...I am NOT saying it aint a booger. I actually think it is a high probabililty it was booger-fied.
I been out there and they are definately in our woods out there. As you know my very best stuff if also in the neighborhood. The other night it was cold and I went to feed my mules. they were HYPERVIGILANT toward the pond where all critters approach this acreage. they were loud snorting more than I ever heard.
shortly before that I was slow coasting in the truck looking for them and I heard two clear mule snuffles (the quiet grazing sound)to the left down past the burnpile. I said there they are and went that way.
But the mules came to my feed whistles from the far other side of the place.
SOMETHING had given two very good imitations of a grazing mule.
this is by CH as you know
BTW I need to get me and my two shrink buddies on the BBQ list while its fresh in mind
Yeah, they're there alright Doc...by Monster Hunter
and IMO they can mimic any critter they want...I've personally heard a horse whiny and there are not any horses here...Cows raising cane but yet not any cows where we heard them...something similar to a baby crying, something mimicking a dieing rabbit where Jake just killed a rabbit...unidentified howls, growls and roars...
Fun ain't it...LOL
...David (one of my therapist/bigfoot researcher buddies who built the pirogue posted on Pathfinder Paddlers FB site)and I were paddling in the dark on the bayou going into the lake. We heard several distinct low "MOO's"
David said "what is over in the direction of that cow mooing". 'Lake and an island or two'was my reply. GPS confimed my suspicions
Very interesting. I have had out of place cows moo at me on two occasions now.

We're adding good wishes early for a happy new year to everyone who posts on this message board. The year 2010 was somewhat frightening for some folks and down-right nasty for other folks. So, we're raising a glass of Green Tea in hopes that 2011 will turn out alright.
The good and the bad...by Monster Hunter
Take it all in stride...it's our health that concerns me...to all my friends and enemies...here's hoping everyone has a healthy prosperous New Year...
And sorry RR...I don't have a glass in my hand but I'm still thinking of you and Gary...
BTW...Friday night is amateur night...people drink to much and can't handle the road...if you're out and about celebrating be careful...
New Year's Eve from our comfy arm-chairs AT home. I no longer drink any alcohol including wine because IBS is a b&%#@ch and gives me herculean gas problems. SO...tea or coffee tonight. I sincerely hope that all remain safe and sound tonight and take care where they go and with whom they go. Lot's of idiot drivers on the road when we went to lunch about an hour or so ago.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers during my recent bout of colitis/IBS(the first flare-up I've suffered in over 20 years). The chest pains from the gas pressure in my gut (worst case of heartburn ever) made me think I was on my way out but a cactus drink called Nopalea put the inflammation fire out! IBS has forced me to change my eating habits for good! But I'm still here and feeling better now than I've felt in years. But enough about me!!!
Happy New Year!
it's called IBX Soothing Bowel Formula by Natural Balance(Nutraceutical Corp). Usually 1 or 2 after a meal offers relief. They work pretty good.
I may look into it. When I have a flare-up it produces the worse heartburn pain imaginable. I'm taking Nopalea which has helped the inflammation end of the problem but I'm not taking anything specific for the bowel problem. I haven't got health care insurance and can't afford to go to a doctor ($75 for an office visit without blood work and urinanalysis is very steep for me); so I've gone herbal for blood pressure and thryroid conditions. The herbal meds work just fine.
It's too bad these medical doctors we have today are not that educated on them. My husband doesn't have health insurance either and he's been disabled for 34 years. He has trouble taking over the counter meds like the antihistamimes...Quercetin(a bioflavonoid)is great for post-nasal drip and doesn't mess with his prostrate. He has really bad indigestion because of sitting in a wheelchair so the IBX works well with him especially after dinner. The heartburn and indigestion use to wake him up in the middle of the night and he'd make me get up and get him a Alka-Seltzer.
I like this one: telling a health professional about Noni juice for pain and skin inflammation(2 ounces of juice followed by a drink like V8 that will kill the aftertaste of it)and they just look at you and say "Really?" I gave my kid Noni juice so he could get through the chicken pox without itching himself to death(btw...my son got the chicken pox on his 13th birthday...he's turning 19 this month...my how time flies).
It made me think I had some sort of viral thing going through my system. I shouldn't have had any problems at all yesterday but then last night at 10:30 and again at 1:30 that pain in the chest heartburn and indigestion was back. Prayer and a very little Pepto Bismol seems to be the only thing that works when the devil has my heart and gut in his tightly closed fist. This has affected every aspect of my life in a negative way since October; and I really need a break from it. So does Silver Fox who gets up in the middle of the night worrying about me. Part of my internal problem is that I have a Type-A-high-strung-worry-about-every-little-thing personality; when that burning sensation starts, so does the worry.
Perhaps, after I turn 65 this summer, I can finally get Medicare and go see a doctor about it. But I'm not surrendering natural herbal remedies in favor of pharmaceuticals, unless I find one that stops the pain.
Ruby...we use Prilosec...by Monster Hunter
Several years ago I had the same chest pains...had extensive medical examines with my heart in good shape...Prilosec eliminated my pain...if you hadn't tried it I recommend you do...
And the only conclusion to my extra heart beat was STRESS. Who'da thunk it? LOL
I too have acid reflux and I agree with you.
If you aren't gonna take any meds for it then at least here are the factors that aggrivate it.
The lower esophageal muscle can be weakened by factors other than food. The following recommendations may be helpful in reducing symptoms:
1. Stop using tobacco in all forms. Nicotine weakens the lower esophageal muscle.
2. Avoid chewing gum and hard candy. They increase the amount of swallowed air which, in turn, leads to belching and reflux.
3. Do not lie down immediately after eating. Avoid late evening snacks.
4. Avoid tight clothing and bending over after eating.
5. Eat small, frequent portions of food and snack if needed.
6. Lose weight if overweight. Obesity leads to increased reflux.
7. Elevate the head of the bed six to eight inches to prevent reflux when sleeping. Extra pillows, by themselves, are not very helpful.
8. The following foods aggravate acid reflux, and should be avoided:
* fatty or fried foods
* peppermint and spearmint
* whole milk
* creamed foods or soups
* most fast foods
9. The following foods irritate an inflamed lower esophagus and may need to be limited or avoided:
* citrus fruits and juices (grapefruit, orange, pineapple, tomato)
* coffee (regular and decaffeinated)
* caffeinated soft drinks
* other caffeinated beverages
10. Spicy or acidic foods may not be tolerated by some individuals.
That pretty well rules out your entire diet,,,time to break out the meds,,LOL.
But still have the problem...I know that I stress-out too much. I've lost almost twenty pounds since October (have gone from size 18 to 14), gave up eating all the foods I liked (especially chocolate and Mexican food) and have followed all of the other suggestions on the list. Eating beef nearly kills me. I still drink 1 cup of decaf a day but without much difficulty. I am feeling better now (my herbal remedies have helped) but will soon be taking something for the massive heartburn. Your helpful suggestions, SAquatcher and MH have served to underline that I'm on the right track.
Here is a panorama of the Patterson film site. The young man is Mike Hogdson, Al's son. The background photo was taken by Peter Byrne. The girth, more than the height is what impresses me about the Patterson subject. I know that everything was bigger during the ice ages. What are we looking at here? M.K.
Here is the tracking dog video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIpZ4r4LxP4
Height is similar...by Monster Hunter
But the creature is 2 1/2 to 3 times larger in girth...definitely not 800 pounds and IMO closer to 300 to 350...This camp has made this creature larger then life with exaggerations and lies...for instance...Jumping off a stump or log in attempt to match track depth...creature 8 foot tall weighing over 700 pounds...

Below the belt...by Monster Hunter
You have to be careful when battling a Sasquatch...
I'm not sure we're dynamic...by Monster Hunter
but there are two of us making us a duo...
My firefighting buddy that I talked about who keeps hearing the mystery cow and jake breaks down where he hunts, was telling me about one of his last trips.
He was in a tree stand and passed up on a couple of smaller deer grazing the corn he spread. They were moved out by a group of hogs who came in. He bow hunts and one came under his stand. He says he can usually get two shots at hogs if hes lucky. He brought one down with a spine shot from almost directly overhead. They all stopped and circled about but could not locate the cause of this hogs problem, as it rolled about. He took another shot at a larger male with a good arrow, but the thing tumbled off through the tree line and he heard it hit the swamp water, which was about 2 or 3 ft deep. He said all the hogs left and moved through the line to the watered hog and he could hear all h### break loose. He believes those others turned on that male hog and were tearing it apart. He said he has never heard anything like that in his life. He stayed treed, afraid to get into a hog frenzy, but after a good while the hogs never returned. He collected his other and drug it to his boat. He went back the next day and checked the swamp hog and found parts of the spine, and skin torn all over the place. No head or legs nothing like that!
On the other topic! He insists there is a darn cow in the swamp, but as he states...I CAN find deer tracks, hog tracks, bear tracks, bobcat tracks, nutria tracks, and even a larger cat track, probably a puma a few years back, " But I cant find one D#%$ Cow Track! Whats up with that?" He asks! LOL
Thanks for the report Mr. Phelps...by Monster Hunter
Darn hogs can be and are mean rascals at times...there's an old saying...don't mess with a hog farmer...
BTW...ask him if it's a cow calling a calf or just a cow being a cow...
He says the moo will start low and increase in volume until the voice cracks. It will do this just a couple of times, but he did say it was answered from about fifty yards away the last time. Other hunters have now heard it, right before sun down! They've walked to the area which is a large bank along a bayou thick with brush. They can find nothing, tracks or otherwise! He truly believes its a cow, but the darn thing would have had to swim the intercoastal canal, several bayous, and other canals, to live in and around a marshy swamp bottom area! Closest pasture is seven miles away passed several other bayous and lakes! After hunting season hes gonna bring me out there for a walk around!
We have heard cows...by Monster Hunter
here where there were not any cows...if any animal can leave a track it's a cow so if it is a cow it shouldn't be hard to find or at least its tracks...this is interesting so by all means keep us informed...
You can follow the mooing and walk up on it generally speaking.
If it is something imitating a cow, you may have trouble tracing it or may find yourself in the middle of 3 or 4 "cows" without seeing any of them.
Or you may start off looking for the "cow" and find out the animal making the sound changes it's tune.
Put out some sweet feed.

Make the cows find you...
If I can locate it (computer crash got me last week) I have recorded cows bawling for various reasons, ie: locating the heard, calf calling mom, and warning call) if I can locate this file I will send you a copy.

I deer hunted at a must hot-spot in Ark Lake Winona WMA right now the Lake is lowest ive ever seen it so tracks around the edge of the lake would be easy to find with a boat..send 2-3 guys with call blaster and some bait while its still cold weather and ill about qurantee postive results these monsters aint real scared of people

Have you found any sign of Monsters in that area?...I googled mapped and it does look rural surrounded by forest...you may be right...could hold Monsters but our organization is not into call blasting and hanging bait for a short period of time...as a matter of fact personally I believe people who call blast and hang bait are wasting their time...go into an area and listen about 25 minutes to dark and stay to around midnight...if there are any Monsters a person should hear them locate...it usually takes some time to figure out if and where the Monsters are...be patient and good luck...
